The price of Adesto Technologies Corp (NASDAQ:IOTS) stock broke above the downtrend line today on high volume, creating a significant amount of bullish potential. On the technical side, MACD and stochastics all point to upward trend while RSI is also rising. IOTS has a lot of upside potential, so watch it closely on Thursday. Next major resistance lies around the $2.80 level.

NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA) broke ascending channel (Hourly chart) to downside on heavy volume today. If it fails to hold the $108 area, a deep pullback could be ahead.

Histogenics Corp (NASDAQ:HSGX) is a stock that has been basing for a while and technically is due for a break out. Looking at the daily chart above we can see a strong support and buyers coming in around 1.6-1.7 area. Momentum indicators are also showing positive divergences. If it breaks the resistance of 1.85 the stock will fly. The stock's 12-month high of $4.47 is also a huge catalyst for an amazing bounce.

Valeant Pharmaceuticals Intl Inc (NYSE:VRX) displayed some relative strength today. If it breaks this trendline tomorrow, that would be a long trade with a stop at 13.80

Level 3 Communications, Inc. (NYSE:LVLT) Still watching this stock, especially after todays action. The 57.50 level needs to be broken as resistance for some momentum to pick up.

Ophthotech Corp (NASDAQ:OPHT) is in the process of bottoming and I expect a pop above $5.28 at some point in the coming days. Daily technical indicators are showing signs of turning around with MACD curling up and RSI starting to turn up from deep oversold levels. On watch.

Conatus Pharmaceuticals Inc (NASDAQ:CNAT) If it holds this level tomorrow, we could be setting up for another significant rally. Lower volume on pullback.

Stocks to Watch for June 09, 2014

Level 3 Communications, Inc. (NYSE:LVLT) still trades within a rising channel but is losing some momentum. I believe we might see a break of its 50-day exponential moving average at $41.52 and the stock price will revisit the bottom of channel for the third time.

SanDisk Corporation (NASDAQ:SNDK) has strengthened massively since April and continued its rise last week in the face of extreme overbought conditions. However, the MACD Histogram is showing some negative divergence (white line) which might result in a pull back. Long positions should be avoided at this point A correction could be expected to 88 (50-day EMA).

Amkor Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMKR) made a potential bearish reversal Friday on massive volume. The stock is far above its 200-day EMA and the RSI is very overbought, so sideways to lower prices are possible near-term. In addition, Oscillators are also turning down. Below 10.42, support is seen at 10.19. The next support comes at 9.82.

AvalonBay Communities Inc (NYSE:AVB) Possible Dark Cloud Cover formed on Friday. Plus, there is a negative divergence on the MACD indicator. A lower close on Monday will confirm reversal.

VIVUS, Inc. (NASDAQ:VVUS) is testing resistance in the 5.40 zone, its recent high in last month's move up. A break and close above this key resistance zone would break the stock out to targets in the 5.95-6.10 range. Short-term indicator remains positive.

Las Vegas Sands Corp. (NYSE:LVS) Today the stock price broke down from a bear flag formation on higher volume. I took a short position shortly before the close. From a technical standpoint, the most likely near-term scenario is a re-test or break of its 200-day EMA at 72.66.

Level 3 Communications, Inc. (NYSE:LVLT) The stock is showing negative bias for the short-term. On the daily chart, today's candle closed below the 20-day exp moving average for the first time since in the last five weeks, increasing the possibilities for the continuation of the correction.

Hemispherx BioPharma, Inc (NYSEMKT:HEB) was up over 4% today on breaking news. The company announced today that the University of Texas Medical Branch confirms activity of Alferon N against MERS virus. The stock has shown the ability to make large moves in a small amount of time, so keep this on your watch for long opportunities. The stock is on the verge of breaking out and it could happen very soon. The volume dramatically increased as the stock ran to near its major resistance, showing me there are buyers watching the stock. Stay tuned.

Stocks to Watch for June 13, 2013

NetApp Inc. (NASDAQ:NTAP) is on my watchlist for a breakout. Set an alert and keep a close eye on this one. Resistance for the breakout move is $39.15. Technicals are Bullish. OBV is rising and MACD still above 0. In addition, both 50-day EMA and 200-day EMA are both rising, showing the stock would be in bull market for a while.

Procera Networks Inc (NASDAQ:PKT) retests the support of its 50-day EMA and closed at $13.73 with low volume, so I think we could see a bounce to $14+ in the near term. As long as the Chaikin Money Flow is positive, the stock is considered to be in an uptrend.

Level 3 Communications, Inc.(NYSE:LVLT) broke down below its 50 & 200-day exp moving averages on decent volume. With the trend reversing, if it breaks below the next pivot point level, then the stock price could spiral downward.

Citigroup Inc (NYSE:C) stock price is clearly in short-term downtrend. There are no signs of a recovery yet. Technical indicators are showing bearishness with MACD positive, but falling rapidly below its signal line and the RSI has slipped below its 50% level. We could see a test and possible breach of the 50-day EMA.

Stocks to Watch for May 9, 2013

Level 3 Communications, Inc. (NYSE:LVLT) is in a clear short-term uptrend and well above its 200EMA, but the recent surge may spur some profit taking. The stock needs to break Wednesday’s high of $24.76 to expect a strong rally at this point.

Keep a close eye on Scorpio Tankers Inc. (NYSE:STNG). The stock tried to clear the resistance but failed again, watch for the break on heavy volume.

LinkedIn Corp (NYSE:LNKD) The stock price is approaching the support level again. If the stock makes a confirmed break below the 50EMA without a price recovery, this might suggest that LNKD is set up for a medium term correction. Technicals indicators are looking bearish to me. The MACD is positive but falling below its signal line. The Relative Strength Index indicator (RSI) is trying to regain its 50% level, after dropping below it. In addition, the slow stochastic is below its 30% level.

VIVUS, Inc. (NASDAQ:VVUS) had a strong day and broke through its resistance line of one week correction. The volume confirmed the breakout, as it was greater than average. Look for VVUS to test the prior highs of February.

GT Advanced Technologies Inc (NASDAQ:GTAT) The stock price continues to gain momentum. I definitely like the way its trading and at some point I think it will leap over $4 again.

Trading Ideas For The Week Ahead

Rambus Inc. (NASDAQ:RMBS) closed the day just above the break out point after some decent swings. The stock has been beaten down since February, but at this moment it seems pretty clear that buyers have been waiting in the 19-19.5 range. The stock may attempt to go higher from here. If the near-by support at $19.75 holds up on Monday, a rally up to the $20.72 level is probable or even possible. Only a close below $19.36 would negate the positive outlook.

Dillard's, Inc. (NYSE:DDS) is now moving out of a nice base on great volume. The stock looks good for further gains from here.

Looking at the technical chart of First Solar, Inc. (NASDAQ:FSLR) there is no reason to take exposure in this stock as there is no evidence of the reversal of the ongoing downward move. The stock is now trading below 50 day and 200 day moving average. Another weak sign is MACD which is still below 0. Only a close above $150.80 will reverse the current downtrend. For now, it would be better to stay away from this stock.

Level 3 Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ:LVLT) broke out to a new 52-week high this week accompained by a strong volume suggesting higher levels. The consolidation and compression that has been going on in the last days is very healthy. The technical chart still showing a bullish bias. KD line shows positive signs as K line is rising on top over D line and MACD continue moving up. I suspect the stock may continue to appreciate over the coming days. Long entry would be at $1.77 on good volume.

Sirius XM Radio Inc. (NASDAQ:SIRI) looks to have a very large ascending triangle on it right now and recently has moved up very nicely, heading for the upper trend line. A break of the upper trend line on good price action and volume would be the buy point at and over $1.88.

Banner Corporation (NASDAQ:BANR) has continued to climb and looks "OK" to keep going.

Cell Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ:CTIC) closed below its 200-dma triggering a sell signal.

Motorola Mobility Holdings Inc (NYSE:MMI) - We need to get another up session with huge volume to solidify this as a bottom.

Trade Ideas For Thursday, February 17

Sirius XM Radio Inc. (NASDAQ:SIRI) broke out last week with very good volumes. The stock could touch an upside target of $2 in the medium term. SIRI will face some resistance in the zone between $1.85 and $1.88. Once this zone is surpassed, there can be a rally to $2 and then $2.15. Hold with a stop at $1.61. Fresh buying can also be done with the same stop.

Level 3 Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ:LVLT) has been on fire the past few weeks, and looks ready to make another upside move. The stock broke out of a consolidation range as the stock closed up 10 cents on the day. Wednesday’s high was $1.41, which is resistance for Thursday’s continuation move. Further rally could be seen to retest $1.77 medium term resistance. As long as the stock stay above 1.29 area, the bullish scenario is still intact. Technical chart shows bullish sign with %K line on top of %D line and MACD on top of signal line.

Bank of America Corporation (NYSE:BAC) has moved up strongly from a low of $10.92 made in November 2010 to the recent high of $15.31 recorded on January 14th. The price is consolidating sideways since then. The short-term outlook for this stock is positive and I expect it to move higher to $15.87 and then to $16.10. Hold the stock with a stop at $14.47. Long-term support for this stock exists at $13.56 and the long-term target on the upside is at $19.13.

Stocks to watch for Thursday, January 6

On my previous posts on KB Home (NYSE:KBH) I mentioned my bullish outlook on the stock. Extremely bullish moves are taking place over the last session’s. The stock is back to showing relative strength. KBH gained 4% and closed just near the resistance point. From a Technical perspective, the stock looks strong on charts. KBH is currently trading above its 50 and 200-day moving averages. The MACD indicator is rising also indicating a buy, and KD line shows the stock is on the positive swing . Fresh long positions should be taken when KBH moves above $14.31. Let's keep an eye on her as i think momentum will pick up again.

Research In Motion Limited (NASDAQ:RIMM), closed near the highs of the day with high volume which is bullish sign. The stock is now going to test the resistance level at $63.33.

Stock Picks for Tuesday, January 04

Happy New Year Investors ! It’s time to kick-start 2011 with new trade Ideas for the coming trading session.

Ciena Corporation ( NASDAQ:CIEN ) was a big winner today. The price of the stock closed up $0.66, a 3.14% increase. During the trading day, over 3.7 million shares of Ciena's were traded. The stock seems to have broken out of a three-week trading range in the $21 area. I feel that there will be a continuation move tomorrow, but I want to see it break through a big psychological resistance at the $22 level. There are several short and mid term technical indications suggesting that CIEN could make a move to higher levels. Keep a close eye on CIEN for Tuesday.

Resistance reflects today’s high of $330.26. Keep an eye on AAPL because there is good upside in this stock.

Stocks to keep an eye on !!

The outlook for Yahoo! Inc. (NASDAQ:YHOO) is now positive and a move to 14.50-14.75 appears likely. The positive outlook would be in force as long as the stock remains above the 50-day moving average (now 14.04). Remain invested with a stop-loss at $14.04. The technical daily chart show a continuation of the trend with MACD and RSI trending upwards.

Level 3 Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ:LVLT) has recovered from its yesterday's low of $.95. The current rally should at least push the stock to $1.07 per share where the major resistance is. The stock needs to close above this level to indicate a continuation of the rally. If this rally fails, there’s a new downside risk. Shareholders may remain invested with a stop-loss at $.95.

NutriSystem Inc. (NASDAQ:NTRI) mentioned here some times is on the cusp of a breakdown. But until it goes beneath it is just a pattern in formation and nothing more. Looking at the technical chart the near-term trend is bearish and the stock faces resistance at 18.45-18.50. A close above this range is a pre-requisite for the reversal of the bearish trend.

I've mentioned THQ Inc. (NASDAQ:THQI) for the bulls out there. I stand by this position. The stock made a nice move today and looks ready to continue on Thursday. The Stochastic Oscillator is registering a strong bullish signal as the %K has crossed above the %D. The nearest trend is in favour of Bulls and THQI has room to go higher. If the stock can break through $3.77, we should see strong volume drive the stock higher. You need to watch the stock closely because it could break resistance soon.

Stocks to watch for Tuesday June 29

Shares of Citigroup closed again above its 200-day moving average of $3.99, a bullish sign that puts the next stage of resistance at $4.09 ( 50-dma ). On the technical chart, we can see a few things going on here. First, the stock is testing a horizontal trendline acting as potential resistance. Also, stochastics are indicating a trend reversal to the upside. Last, and definitely not least, we can see that the money seems to be flowing into the stock as indicated by the OBV.

This is another stock I am watching closely. GNTB can pop big time on any positive news. The technical daily chart is showing a double bottom here. In addition %K line has just crossed on top over %D line showing strong buy signal as ROC is at oversold level. On balance volume is also showing positive divergences. I will look to buy if the stock breaks above 0.345.

AMZN is at critical support near $115.94. The stock could go either way depending on how it deals with a major trendline.
