Hot stocks for Thursday Sep 30

Starting with SOL, on the daily chart the present uptrend is getting confirmed as the days go on. The major trend is still bullish as we can see on the chart above. The bias is Bullish in nearest term. Immediate support remains at $11 followed by $10.28. I'm using today’s high of $12.29 as resistance for tomorrow. A break above that area could trigger further bullish momentum towards $13.

Canadian Solar Inc. (NASDAQ:CSIQ) was one of the big winners on Wednesday. The technical indicators are looking better now for the stock. CSIQ has broken the horizontal resistance line with heavy volume and looks like it will continue to run up. Looking at the daily technical chart the stock has just entered into a short-term bull market as the stock is on top of 20 day and 50 day moving averages. Other technical indicator such as MACD, is above 0 showing positive momentum while KD line also show buy signal as %K line is on top of %D line. Technically speaking the stock is now painting a “Bullish” picture. The share price is likely to move to the target zone of the 17-17.69 range.

JA Solar Holdings Co., Ltd. (NASDAQ:JASO) broke out on Wednesday and made a new 52-week high of $9.26. I'm keeping JASO on the list for the continuation move. The stock had big buyers in it all day and looks ready to make another move on Thursday. The technical chart shows a continuation of the trend with MACD and RSI in the Bullish areas. Watch the stock closely tomorrow and once it breaks $9.26, get ready to jump in and buy the stock.

Lihua International, Inc. (NASDAQ:LIWA) - As long as the stock holds above the $8.35 support level the intermediate-term picture should remain positive. LIWA has made a transition from down trend to uptrend. The short-term trend is bullish and a move to the $9.11 appears likely.

Generex Biotechnology Corporation (NASDAQ:GNBT) had a nice surge a few days ago and has been in the process of consolidating. The stock is displaying upside momentum again and is poised to move higher from these levels. Nearest resistance for the stock is at $.53. If this level is crossed and the stock is able to sustain above this level, then it might go to $.62. On the downside, the stock has support at $.48. The stock is currently in a new uptrend. I feel this stock will easily make a strong move to the upside.

LDK - LDK Solar - The stock broke a key resistance level on a volume expansion. Watching for a close above $10.84
ZION - Zions Bancorporation - Watching for a close above $21.08( 200-dma ).
AIB - Allied Irish Banks, plc. (ADR) - Watching for a close above $1.76.
CTIC - Cell Therapeutics, Inc. - Watching for a close below $.385
JASO - Jaso Solar appears to be holding the 200 dma nicely. A break above $3.99 would be bullish.
OSIR - Osiris Therapeutics, Inc. - The stock broke a key resistance level at $6.68 ( 200-dma ). Watching for a close above $7.
RMBS - Rambus can pop big time on any positive news.

Stock Market Alerts for Wednesday Sep 29

THQ Inc. (NASDAQ:THQI) had a bullish momentum today, gaining nearly 3% and end the day near the highest price of the day. The bias is bullish in nearest term especially if price able to stay consistently above $4 targeting $4.50. Immediate support is now at $3.93. Honestly speaking, I'm expecting a breakout at $4.23 with a target of $4.50. So far, all indicators are in favor of an upward price movement. On the technical side, MACD has generated a buy signal and is currently above the 0 line. In addition , RSI is above 50 suggesting more up movement in the stock.

Eastman Kodak Company (NYSE:EK) broke through resistance on Monday, and was able to sustain this move today. The stock hit a high of $4.27, which is resistance for Wednesday’s move. If EK can break through resistance, we should see a strong follow through move as there is a high short interest in the stock. Watch the stock closely tomorrow.

Dendreon Corporation (NASDAQ:DNDN) - The near-term trend is bearish and the stock faces a strong resistance at 43.90-44. A close above this range is a pre-requisite for the reversal of the bearish trend. Oscillators on the daily chart are bearish as RSI and a bearish MACD crossover occurred yesterday. Keep an eye on DNDN for Wednesday.

Eastman Kodak Company (NYSE:EK) seems to have broken out of an ascending triangle with $4 as resistance. Target price of this formation would be above $4.70. Volume on breakout is about 7.3 B shares, volume on the last trading day was 5 B. If on Tuesday the stock was bought up with volume of above 5 B, this would be a confirmation of continued bullishness. From a technical standpoint, MACD is indicating a bullish signal as it is above the signal line and at the same time above the center line, RSI is above 50 and stochastics is going up. I go LONG !!!

Hemispherx BioPharma, Inc (AMEX:HEB) broke out from a sidewards movement with huge volume, creating a significant amount of bullish potential. If the upward movement continue tomorrow it may break out from its 200-dma resistance at $.62. My recommendation is : Buy on breakout.

Rambus Inc. (NASDAQ:RMBS) broke an ascending triangle area pattern today and could go to $21.44. Volume confirms. Buy as close to $20 as possible. The technical chart above shows very strong upward momentum as the stock is above the 20 and 50 day moving averages. All indicators still point to a bull market. Keep RMBS on your radar for Tuesday’s trading day.

Generex Biotechnology Corporation (NASDAQ:GNBT) displayed some impressive relative strength with a 4.4% gain. From a technical standpoint, the short-term outlook for GNBT is bullish with both 20, 50 and 200 daily moving averages going up. The stock has just tested its 200-day moving average $.478 and rebounded. I like the technical chart and expect to see another upside move soon. Resistance stays at $.50. I will want to watch the stock for the next few days, because this move should occur soon.

Stock Market Alerts for next week

THQ Inc. (NASDAQ:THQI) failed to continue it’s bullish momentum on Friday. The stock attempted to push higher, topped at 4.14 before whipsawed to the downside, hit the bottomed at 3.93 and closed at 4. On daily chart we can see a pull back with low volume indicating a consolidation phase after some bullish momentum. The bias is neutral in nearest term. A break above 4.20 on a close basis should be seen as a serious threat for the stock to test the highs of July. Immediate resistance is seen at 4.14/4.19 area. Initial support at 3.93 followed by 3.88.

Alcoa Inc. (NYSE:AA) continued its bullish run this week. The stock price closed higher on weekend after break out above $11.59. Since the strong bullish momentum which started in August 25, the stock gained more than 20%, to a recent $12.20. For the upcoming week, another strong breakout above $12.43 could trigger another strong bullish momentum targeting 12.81 and 13.24. Keep the stock on your radar for Monday’s trading.

Sirius XM Radio Inc. (NASDAQ:SIRI) had a moderate bullish momentum this week. On daily chart we can see that the bullish power failed to break the 1.20 key level to the upside. However, the bias is bullish in nearest term targeting 1.231 resistance area. Immediate support is seen at 1.11 area. Watch SIRI closely and be ready once the stock breaks through resistance.

Royale Energy, Inc. (NASDAQ:ROYL) - I like this stock for a long term hold. It's part of my portfolio and I intend to stay with it. Price could break $3 in year, if they can keep good press. Looking at the technical we can see a bullish MACD crossover as a potentially bullish indicator for next week. If the stock breaks resistance at $2.04 ( 50 DMA ), we will see the stock move very quickly as traders like to hop onto the stock once it gets going.

Stock Market Alerts for Friday Sep 24

Elan Corporation, plc (NYSE:ELN) is setting up for a very interesting upside move. The stock hit a high of $5.26 last Tuesday, but was not able to close near this level. The past two days we have seen the stock work its way back towards Tuesday’s high. I expect to see a high volume move once the stock breaks through resistance, as traders are watching this stock closely. Keep the stock on your screen because once ELN breaks through resistance, the stock should take off and move quickly. From a technical standpoint, this stock is currently in an uptrend and is finding support from its 50 DMA at 4.82 . If it stays above 4.82 and moves up, then it might even go to 5.49. If the stock falls below this level, then it might see further weakness. In addition, the Chaikin Money Flow Index is showing a rising move, indicating a rising money flow into the stock. Keep ELN on your radar for Friday’s trading session.

Somaxon Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ:SOMX) - $3.84 ( 50 DMA ) is a key to watch for this stock. If it declines below this level, then it has support at 3.69 and 3.35. On the upside, the stock has a number of resistances at 4.28, 4.31 ( 200 DMA ) and 4.49.

Atmel Corporation (NASDAQ:ATML) had a strong move today, as the stock set new 52-week highs. The stock hit a high of $7.52, which is resistance for the follow through move. The technical chart shows the stock is in a bull market rally as MACD is on top of signal line and moving upwards. In addition, the medium term trend is also bullish as the stock is above 50-day and 200-day moving averages with both moving averages going up. You should watch this stock closely on Friday.

Express Scripts, Inc. (NASDAQ:ESRX) traded higher today, as the stock received an upgrade in pre-market. The stock closed up $.87 on heavy volume. I'm a buyer of ESRX once it breaks through today’s high of $49.68 for the continuation move. You need to keep the stock on your screen tomorrow, because the stock will take off very quickly.

Cell Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ:CTIC) - The stock continues to hold $.38 but trade in a narrow range.I plan to buy the stock on a close over the 50 day moving average ( currently located at $.39 )

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) - Another trading day, another 52 week high for AAPL. I like the stock as long as it can remain over $279.01.

DRYS - Dry Ships is still in bottoming mode it looks like. I plan to buy the stock when it closes back over the 50 day moving average located at $4.33.

Stock Market Alerts for Thursday Sep 23

Today's stock on the spotlight is THQ Inc. (Public, NASDAQ:THQI). The stock today surged nearly 9% or 34 cents to $4.14 per share after the video game maker was more upbeat than analysts expected at a Goldman Sachs investor's conference. The CEO Brian Farrell touted the company's up-coming game releases such as "Homefront" and "Red Faction: Armageddon" and said most of the company's development efforts will be focused on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 for the next couple of years. Some top executives have been acquiring shares for the past few weeks showing the management is bullish of the company's outlook. Institution has also added shares indicating plus sign for the company. On the technical side, MACD and stochastics all point to upward trend while RSI is also rising but hasn't yet reached overbought level. The stock broke through its 50-day moving average and should continue to move. THQI has a lot of upside potential, so watch it closely on Thursday.

Bed Bath & Beyond Inc. (NASDAQ:BBBY) is trading up after hours, after releasing better then expected earnings. I believe the stock will gap up on Thursday and I'll be watching for a potential trade. BBBY has been trading near the major resistance and the good earnings should help break the stock to the upside. Stay tuned .....

Generex Biotechnology Corporation (NASDAQ:GNBT) has entered into a consolidation phase after rising very fast in the past few days. The bias remains bullish in nearest term. Immediate resistance remains at $.5598. Break above that level could trigger further bullish momentum towards $.60 area. Initial support remains at $.48 ( 200-day moving average ). I expect positive trend in the stock to continue with immediate target placed at $.60.

JA Solar Holdings Co., Ltd. (NASDAQ:JASO) set new 52-week highs today, as the stock was one of the hottest stocks in the clean energy space. JASO hit a high of $8, which is resistance for Tuesday’s follow through move. I'm buyer of JASO again once it breaks resistance and I expect to see traders buy the stock and increase volume. Keep the stock on your radar for Wednesday.

Banner Corporation (NASDAQ:BANR) is a good momentum stock, and looks like it wants to make a big move soon. The stock bounced on tuesday, as it closed up $0.06 cents on the day. I'll be watching the stock on Wednesday, and I'm a buyer once it breaks Wednesday’s high of $2.25. BANR is now above the 50-day moving average of 2.19 and above the 20-day moving average of 2.18, which is important support.

Stock Market Alerts for Tuesday Sep 21

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) broke out to a new all-time high today, accompanied by a good volume suggesting higher levels.The stock has been in a nice uptrend for the last three weeks and it looks very strong with both 50 day and 200 day moving average going up while %K line is on top of %D line. AAPL is now on the overbought level, so this means a possible correction is near. This may give us a chance to jump in on the stock when it moves lower. Watchout for support at 279.01, as long as the stock does not go below this level on its correction phase, we are still safe. AAPL is a stock to keep an eye on for awhile.

The game sector had a bounce on Monday, as most of the big names traded higher. THQ Inc. (NASDAQ:THQI) has a very interesting daily chart and could have a bigger move this week. The recent increase in trading volume and rising OBV suggests buyers are accumulating stock. A breakout above $3.77 would constitute a technical entry for the short term trader looking for a quick trade. Stay tuned.

Today we had a great day with Generex Biotechnology Corporation (NASDAQ:GNBT) being up over 20% in the morning. It gave up some ground but still finished up 16.13% for the day. Now this looks to be just the beginning of GNBT's run and I'm extremely confident that the gains will continue. The technical daily chart is showing a strong bullish bias. On Balance Volume is increasing, indicating accumulation of shares in the market and KD line is indicating upward swing. Watch GNBT closely on Tuesday.

Hot stocks to watch next week

A123 Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:AONE) had a significant bullish momentum last week but the price is now struggling around the trend line resistance indicates critical technical point. Consistent move above $9.65 ( the trend line resistance ) could be a beginning of a new technical bullish reversal at least testing 11.38/11.50 area. Immediate support is at 8.92 followed by 8.68. Honestly, I prefer a bullish scenario.

Novell, Inc. (NASDAQ:NOVL) had a significant bullish momentum last week after break above 5.84 and now struggling around 6.20. Looking at the technical chart above the bias is bullish in nearest term especially if price is able to stay consistently above 5.94 targeting 6.36. Unless we have another movement back below this level, I think NOVL still in a bullish correction phase.

Shares of Generex Biotechnology Corporation (NASDAQ:GNBT) soared 14.33% to 46 cents per share on heavy volume. The technical chart shows the stock is ready for new rally as %K line is now on top of %D line. In addition, momentum indicators are also signalling good trend with rising OBV and bullish MACD crossover happened on Friday. GNBT is displaying upside momentum and is poised to move higher from these levels. Nearest resistance for the stock is at $.491. If this level is crossed and the stock is able to sustain above this level, then it might go to $.60. The stock is currently in a new uptrend.

2 Stocks to Keep an Eye On - Expedia and Atmel Corporation

Expedia, Inc. (NASDAQ:EXPE) is one of the hottest stocks of Nasdaq right now. The stock has been on a non-stop rally. On Thursday, EXPE hits a new 52-week high by climbing $1.03 cents or 3.86% to close at $27.69. Stock is again in breakout mode and the chart suggests a strong confidence in stock, no resistances above and RSI has space to move up more.

Atmel Corporation (NASDAQ:ATML) shares closed the day on Thursday gaining more than 1.8% to a new 52-week high. The stock has been on one of the most amazing runs of this most recent rally. Looking at the daily chart the investor sentiment in ATML stock showed by RSI continues strong and MACD still going up. Stock still trading in a strong Bull Market with share price above 20, 50 and 200 daily moving averages. Following this technical chart it's predictable that today ATML will reach new highs again. The positive outlook would be in force as long as the stock remains above the 50-day moving average (now 14.04). Remain invested with a stop-loss at $14.04. The technical daily chart show a continuation of the trend with MACD and RSI trending upwards.

Level 3 Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ:LVLT) has recovered from its yesterday's low of $.95. The current rally should at least push the stock to $1.07 per share where the major resistance is. The stock needs to close above this level to indicate a continuation of the rally. If this rally fails, there’s a new downside risk. Shareholders may remain invested with a stop-loss at $.95.

NutriSystem Inc. (NASDAQ:NTRI) mentioned here some times is on the cusp of a breakdown. But until it goes beneath it is just a pattern in formation and nothing more. Looking at the technical chart the near-term trend is bearish and the stock faces resistance at 18.45-18.50. A close above this range is a pre-requisite for the reversal of the bearish trend.

I've mentioned THQ Inc. (NASDAQ:THQI) for the bulls out there. I stand by this position. The stock made a nice move today and looks ready to continue on Thursday. The Stochastic Oscillator is registering a strong bullish signal as the %K has crossed above the %D. The nearest trend is in favour of Bulls and THQI has room to go higher. If the stock can break through $3.77, we should see strong volume drive the stock higher. You need to watch the stock closely because it could break resistance soon.

Stock Picks for Wednesday September 15

ReneSola Ltd. (NYSE:SOL) made a strong upside reversal today and looks like it wants to make a run to new 52-week highs. Watch the stock closely on Wednesday, and once it breaks through $10.26, get ready to enter the trade. The technical chart above shows a continuation of the uptrend. MACD and RSI are bullish, although RSI suggests an over-bought condition. SOL can be a volatile stock, so be careful with your share size.

JA Solar Holdings Co., Ltd. (NASDAQ:JASO) - After making a big move the past few days, JASO is now consolidating. The stock wants to move higher and this could happen very soon. I'm a buyer of JASO once it breaks $7.49. There is a chance the stock will consolidate for another day or so, but watch it closely on wednesday in case it breaks early.

THQ Inc. (NASDAQ:THQI) - It seems that all bad news has been fully priced into this stock. Company had a miserable sales warning Monday evening, but despite the lower guidance, the stock didn't react much to the news, this means that the stock is about to start its journey up. If THQI can break through $3.77, we should see strong volume drive the stock higher. You need to watch the stock closely because it could break resistance very soon.

The stock continues to sit in a consolidation range. At some point, Suntech Power Holdings Co., Ltd. (NYSE:STP) will breakout and I want to be there for this move. Resistance stays at $9.19. Fresh long should be made only when the stock closes above this level with an up candle.
