5 Stocks that I will be watching for 25th April

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) are trading higher in the after-hours after reported net income above Wall Street’s expectations for the second quarter. Currently, shares are higher by 7%, trading at $600, they ended the regular session lower by 2%, at $560.28. Following the investors reaction in the extended trading we should see a gap up tomorrow morning. It will be important an interesting also, see if stock will have legs to close above $600. A breakout above this level would constitute a technical entry for the short term trader looking for a quick trade.

Kimberly Clark Corp (NYSE:KMB) broke out to new highs today on 2x the daily average volume. The stock has been on fire since late February. It is hard to predict how far the momentum will take the stock. I'm using today’s high of $78.73 as resistance for Wednesday. A break above that area could trigger further bullish momentum and keep the bullish scenario intact. The outlook for KMB stays robust until it stays above $75. Fresh buys can be initiated with a stop at $74.8 ( 20 dma ).

InterDigital, Inc. (NASDAQ:IDCC) finally rebounded on heavy volume after some rumors saying that company is exploring patent sale again. InterDigital, owns more than 8.600 patents and has an additional 10.000 on application. The patents cover a broad variety of wireless and wire line communication, including 2G, 3G, 4G, and LTE, as well as IEEE 802. The April $32 and $35 call options have been active. You want to keep IDCC on your screen for Wednesday’s trading.

Banner Corporation (NASDAQ:BANR) had a great move on the upside today and closed at $22.44. The stock is setting up to break out and has one more level to go, which is $22.97.

Tellabs, Inc. (NASDAQ:TLAB) - Looks like the Bulls are going to win this fight. Just one more push to change the trend. Technically, the stock is in a short-term Bull Market with share price above 5, 20 and 50 daily moving averages. Short-term investors can buy with a stop at $3.84 and long-term investors can hold with a stop at $3.73. Let's keep an eye on her as i think momentum will pick up. TLAB is a well capitalized company, with $3.20 in cash per share. I love the risk/reward so long as it holds above the $3.73 area and expect to see another upside move very soon.

Few Trade Ideas for Friday

Banner Corporation (NASDAQ:BANR) broke out of a small consolidation range on Thursday, as the stock closed up $1.43 ( 10% ) on heavy volume. I will be watching BANR on Friday for a continuation of this breakout. The technical chart shows the buyers are back and a possible test of July's highs around $19 is very likely. The short-term trend is still bullish as the stock is still on top of 20 day and 50 day moving average with both moving averages going up. Other good news, the MACD is perking up and the OBV is moving up. I think the stock has room to go higher. Watch the stock closely on Friday.

A move on Trina Solar Limited (NYSE:TSL) above $7.52 could spark a nice short-squeeze. The stock had a nice surge a few days ago and has been in the process of consolidating. The stock is displaying upside momentum again and is poised to move higher from these levels. Nearest resistance for the stock is at $7.52. If this level is crossed and the stock is able to sustain above this level, then it might go to $8. On the downside, the stock has support at $6.35. I feel this stock will easily make a strong move to the upside.

Curis, Inc. (NASDAQ:CRIS) is starting to make a move to break through the top of its range. This is a good stock to watch and once it breaks through $3.61on a close basis, the stock should move.

Ciena Corporation (NASDAQ:CIEN) looks like it is gonna squeeze some shorts here. The stock has a Bullish looking stock chart, price broke out from the horizontal resistance mark around 12.09 share on Thursday again on high volume. Next resistance lies at $12.61. I expect to see a strong upside move if the stock can break through this resistance level. Watch the stock closely on Friday.

Stock Trade Ideas for Thursday, Oct 20th

Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Inc.(NASDAQ:GMCR) - If its support of $64.14 is broken on a close basis then the chances of stock touching the level of $40 becomes high. The internal indicators ( KD, MACD and RSI ) are moving down and in the world of technical analysis, that is not good. Buy only when the stock reverses from the support.

Tellabs, Inc. (NASDAQ:TLAB) - Share price has been moving in a range since June. A break above $4.65 on a close basis could set a temporary rally to $5.24. At this stage, the stock can go either way, however the volume is picking up which is a good signal, probably a signal of accumulation. Intermediate trend remains neutral. Stop loss for short-term investors can be at $4.01.

Trina Solar Limited (NYSE:TSL) - Looking at the technical chart there are several indications I see which suggest a near-term bottom, including large positive divergences on MACD in daily. If the potential buy signal confirms itself, we will be looking for a move to the resistance area at $7.8-8.6, at the very least. Until that happens, traders will want to be on high-alert to the possibility of a bullish reversal. Keep TSL on your screen for Thursday’s trading session.

Banner Corporation (NASDAQ:BANR) is trading up after hours, as the company released good earnings. The company reported net income of $6.0 million in the third quarter ended September 30, 2011, compared to net income of $2.2 million in the immediately preceding quarter and a net loss of $42.7 million in the third quarter a year ago. In the first nine months of the year, Banner reported net income of $387,000 compared to a net loss of $49.2 million in the first nine months of 2010. I expect BANR to gap open on Thursday, possibly gapping above the major resistance level at $15.11. From a technical standpoint, the stock is very strong. Now that the stock is on an uptrend with MACD above the signal line, any pull back would mean great buying opportunity. BANR should be a hot stock on Thursday so watch it closely throughout the day.

Affymax, Inc. (NASDAQ:AFFY) could be getting ready to break out. The accumulation/distribution indicator shows a marked increase in accumulation since the beginning of the month. The stock is poised to break out of a bullish continuation pattern.

Stock Trade Ideas for Wednesday, Oct 19th

Banner Corporation (NASDAQ:BANR) broke resistance on Tuesday, as the stock closed up $.88 or 6.8% on the day. This should be the first of a bigger move, which could occur on Wednesday. I had mentioned in my previous article (published on October 13th ), it seemed that the money was flowing into the stock as indicated in the technical indicator OBV. The technical chart is now painting a bullish picture. We can expect now some resistance at $15.52 level followed by $16.46 level. Folks, BANR was mentioned on my twitter today.

I'm watching THQ Inc. (NASDAQ:THQI) again as the stock looks to be setting up for a big upside move. The stock has a very interesting daily chart. The stock is now back to positive trend again as it is now back above 50 day moving average after staying below the moving average since January. Now with KD rising the stock could be heading for a new bull market rally. The stock hit a high of $1.83 on Tuesday, which is resistance for Wednesday’s move. THQI will move very quickly, so watch the stock very closely over the next few trading sessions.

Yahoo! Inc.(NASDAQ:YHOO) is trading up after hours, as the company released good earnings. I expect YHOO to gap open on Wednesday, possibly gapping above the major resistance level. If the stock does gap above or trade through this level, let the stock consolidate before buying. YHOO should be a hot stock on Wednesday so watch it closely throughout the day.

Affymax, Inc. (NASDAQ:AFFY) Building a nice flag, holding above 13 day. A move on $AFFY above $5.05 could spark a nice short-squeeze. Potential upside of 100% exists for Affymax, based on a current level of $5.01 and analysts' average consensus price target of $10. The stock should find initial resistance at $5.22 and further resistance at its 200-day MA of $6.10

Accum/Dist chart on Banner Corporation (NASDAQ:BANR) is showing a clear accumulation trend since July. The stock broke and closed today above its 50-day moving average (14.20), and is poised to continue higher, towards the 15.5-16 area next.

Shares of A123 Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:AONE) soared 26% to $4.19 per share after General Motors said that the company would be supplying the power for the automaker's first all-electric car. The technical chart shows possible new rally as %K line is back above %D line. In addition with stock back above 50-day moving average we should see more upside coming. Next resistance lies at $4.5.

ReneSola Ltd. (NYSE:SOL) - Hold your Long position with a stop loss at $1.84 (closing day basis). Only a close below this level would change the short-term outlook to bearish for the stock. The immediate resistance appears at $2.34 and suport at $1.94. The short-term trend seems to be positive.

MELA Sciences, Inc. (NASDAQ:MELA) has been under accumulation for a couple days now. The volume on accumulation days consistently exceeded the volume on distribution days. That's a bullish sign. From a technical standpoint, the daily chart looks Bullish with both 13, 50 and 200 daily moving averages going up and MACD on top of 0, RSI in a Bullish area too. I'm setting resistance at $6.30, which was the high of Wednesday. If the stock breaks through, the next resistance lies at $7.45.

Some Bullish Setups for Friday

Shares of Spectrum Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ:SPPI) made a new 52 week high today closing at $10.36 on heavy volume. The stock hit a high of $10.50, which is now resistance for Friday’s continuation move. If the stock can break through resistance, we should see another strong upside move. SPPI will move very quickly, so watch the stock closely on Friday.

The Progressive Corporation (NYSE:PGR) continued to show strength with another gain. Today's rally put shares above potential round-number resistance at the $21.67 level, which is a bullish sign. The technical chart looks very bullish with a short-term target of $22.13.

Pacer International, Inc. (NASDAQ:PACR) - The major resistance has been broken in this technical chart. The price can move up to $6.24-$6.48 in the short-term.

BREAKOUT !! I told you yesterday about Banner Corporation (NASDAQ:BANR) and today the stock successfully broke the resistance at $2.54 with unusual volumes. This is a very bullish development. Short-term technical indicators are strong and the MACD on the daily chart recently produced a new buy signal. If the stock can break today’s high of $2.73, we should see a strong follow through move. BANR will move very quickly, so keep a very close eye on the stock.

Thursday's Stocks to Watch and Trading Ideas

I'm back from my Easter vacations and willing to keep blogging for your reading. It was really a great time to unwind some of the pressure of markets and hope you all understand.

During today's trading session I was scanning some charts and I stumbled upon Vonage Holdings Corp. (NYSE:VG), whose stock has shown remarkable strength over the last 4 months. The stock made a new 52 week high this morning, but the bulls could not sustain the breakout and price closed well off its high. However, the technical chart above still showing that the stock is in a bull market rally as MACD is on top of signal line and %K line is on top of %D line. In addition, the medium term trend is also bullish as the stock is above 50-day and 200-day moving averages with both moving averages going up. Buy only when the stock breaches $5.30. Once the stock breaks this level we should see a strong upside move. The stock needs to stay above $4.98 to keep the short-term outlook positive. Keep the stock on your screen throughout the day on Thursday.

Las Vegas Sands Corp. (NYSE:LVS) is poised to breakout of this tight horizontal basing channel. Resistance for the breakout move is $46.72. LVS is a fast moving stock, so keep it on your radar.

Banner Corporation (NASDAQ:BANR) has been trading a very tight range for a few days right up at resistance. If it clears resistance the move may be powerful.

I'm actually pretty excited when i saw Hemispherx BioPharma, Inc (AMEX:HEB) chart because it is showing some bullish signal in its early stage. The stock has been trading on a downward slope since June 2009. Recently, though, it is showing some signs of a possible reversal. The chart of Hemispherx BioPharma is now much improved after today’s action. The MACD has reversed again the course and stock finally closed above its 200-day moving average with heavy volume. In addition, the stock was upgraded at Maxim Group today from Hold to Buy with a target price of $1.50. Today I alerted my readers on HEB via twitter.

Top Trade Ideas for Thursday, April 21

Good morning everyone. When I mentioned ACADIA Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ:ACAD) on Monday the stock had just breached the triangle’s resistance around $1.90 and yesterday it closed at $2.19. This jump has also helped the stock breach its immediate resistance level of $1.91. Moreover, there was an increase in daily volume in the past three trading sessions, which is a very Bullish sign The stock hit a high of $2.20, which is resistance for today’s trade. If the stock can break through this level, I expect to see another strong upside move.

Crocs, Inc. (NASDAQ:CROX) has made an awesome move on Wednesday breaking out its resistance level. Plenty of room to upside.

Extremely bullish moves on Rambus Inc. (NASDAQ:RMBS) are taking place over the last session’s. On Wednesday, the stock jumped four per cent with good volume, conclusively penetrating its 200-day moving average. MACD has generated a buy signal and is currently above the 0 line. This momentum could push this stock much higher from here, so keep it on the radar. The next major resistance is located at $21.43.

Let’s now take a look again at Banner Corporation (NASDAQ:BANR). I notice that the Accumulation/Distribution indicator still growing, it means accumulation (buying). The stock has been consolidating sideways for 3 months now after a good run up since December 2010. Fortunately, the stock could be set for another move higher as it appeared to have formed what looks like a symmetrical triangle during this consolidation process. A break above the triangle’s resistance mentioned in the chart is all we need to confirm the chart pattern. Honestly speaking, I’m bullish with this chart pattern given the fact that the short-term uptrend is intact. In addition, the MACD is back in positive territory and the stock price is above the 50 and 200 moving averages. Personally, I’m actually expecting a breakout soon. I may be wrong, but I have seen many stocks rise upon breaking out from triangles like this. Keep this stock in your radar list.

Wednesday marked an important shift in Symantec Corporation (NASDAQ:SYMC) shares as they closed above a major horizontal resistance line that has been forming since Januray. The stock was one of the big winners on Wednesday, closing up 81 cents on the day. SYMC traded heavy volume as it hit a high of $18.97. This high is resistance for Thursday’s continuation move.

Nationwide Health Properties Inc. (NYSE:NHP) has been rising in an ascending triangle formation. Look for the break above the $44.05 level to enter longs.

Cell Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ:CTIC) is ready for a possible rally if breakout key resistance level of $.416 with big volume.

Silicon Motion Technology Corp. (ADR) (NASDAQ:SIMO) looks a nice long candidate.

Four Stocks To Keep An Eye On

Banner Corporation (NASDAQ:BANR) - As many traders could see, today's rise on increased volume amongst many other bullish indicators could push the stock substantially higher than where it is trading now which is around its base levels. As you could see, the stock has several favorable technical factors suggesting that it could breakout to new levels and could test its 52-week high which often attracts additional traders on the buyside, putting upward pressure on shares. The technical chart shows the stock has been doing well since the beginning of this year since the 50 day moving average went on top over 200 day moving average. In addition, the accumulation /distribution indicator is showing strong accumulation since it bottomed in November 2010, which is also a strong bullish sign. It’s a future sign that the price will rise because it’s a leading indicator. That means the indicators gives a buy or sell signal before the actual price movement occurs. Short interest on BANR as of Mar 31, also decreased 29.8% to 445,900 shares from 635,800 indicating that bears are covering their positions. Plus, the decline over the last few days occurred on lower volume and the stock is firming above the major support of $2.28. BANR has now the opportunity to start new rally as %K line is back above %D line. The near-term outlook is bullish and a close above its 50-dma would confirm this view. I continue to have a favorable longer-term view of the company and I believe the stock should provide steady, above-market returns over the long run. BANR just need more interest to get volume as the technicals are calling for a run. Keep watching the stock this week since I expect more volume over the next couple of days.

Looking at the technical chart of Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (NYSE:AMD) the stock price is clearly in short-term downtrend. There are no signs of a recovery yet. Hold your long position with a stop loss at $8.12 (closing day basis).

Accompanied with good volumes, Silgan Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ:SLGN) marked an all-time high in the last trading session. With this, the daily momentum indicator has reached overbought levels and I believe that a near-term correction is likely to happen.

GigaMedia Limited (NASDAQ:GIGM) - In the last trading session, the stock broke through the flag pattern. This means there is more upside. I think this is quite likely.

Other stocks to watch :

Cell Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ:CTIC) needs to hold 38 cents on the downside or things could get very ugly. On the upside, the stock has resistance located betwen 40 and 41 cents.

Shares of Motorola Mobility Holdings Inc (NYSE:MMI) continue to hold the recent $22.96 low. I would continue to be a buyer of MMI below $23.50. This stock is due for a rally back into the $26's.

Shares of Ciena Corporation (NASDAQ:CIEN) continue to inch higher. The stock really doesn't have any resistance until $27-$27.41.
