Stock Watch List For Thursday

McDonald's Corporation (NYSE:MCD) recorded a new high in today's session. Short-term outlook for the stock is bullish. Buy the stock in dips with a stop-loss at $81.85. The technical daily chart looks Bullish with both 20, 50 and 200 daily moving averages going up and MACD on top of 0, RSI in a Bullish area too.

Allied Irish Banks, plc. (NYSE:AIB) - The stock closed up on high volume a sign that investors are buying into the stock. Although the moving averages of stock are showing weakness, as the stock is still trading below 50 and 200 dma, there is one technical indicator showing some strength, the stochastics. The stock has chance to start new rally, because %K line has just crossed on top over %D line and the RSI also reversed up. The stock at least can hit the 20 day moving average at $2.34 cents per share. Watch to see what it does here.

GT Solar International, Inc. (NASDAQ:SOLR) tagged a new high but closed poorly. Shareholders may remain invested with a stop- loss at $15.08.

Zagg Inc (NASDAQ:ZAGG) - In the last trading session, the stock broke through its 7-day moving average and closed down 51 cents at $13.75. The technical daily chart is showing a slightly bearish bias. A break below the support at 13.20 will open the way for a further move lower to 13.06 and potentially as far as the defended 12.58.

Stock Watch List For Wednesday

WellCare Health Plans, Inc. (NYSE:WCG) caught my eye today because the stock has a bullish posture without looking overbought and overextended. The stock has been consolidating the last several days and just broke out today on considerable volume. I'm suggesting small bullish positions now.

GT Solar International, Inc. (NASDAQ:SOLR) has been on my list a few times and it is back on for Wednesday. The stock made a new 52-week high on strong volume a sign that investors are buying into the stock. With the stock setting new highs, there is no overhead resistance to slow further moves to the upside. SOLR is worth watching on Wednesday, especially if the market shows strength.

Companhia de Bebidas das Americas (NYSE:ABV) may be close to breaking to new highs here. The stock has been consolidating the past few days and just recently started inching above most of the consolidation area. Volume is starting to pick up again and there could be a decent short squeeze if it clears the May high. Clearing $33.24 could be the beginning of a move to new highs.

FormFactor, Inc. (NASDAQ:FORM) closed back over the $9 mark and the volume was good. This is a good stock but needs more volume to sustain its new up move. This is far under-valued stock in semi-conductor field. This company has no debt and about $333.2 million of cash, so they have about $6.58 a share in cash. I love the risk/reward so long as it holds above the $8.50 area and expect to see another upside move very soon.

Volume was light today but the trading action was encouraging. Traders bought the dip several times near the $3.50 level. THQ Inc. (NASDAQ:THQI) may have found new support. It looks like it is starting to turn back up and technical indicators are giving the first bullish signs. The Stochastic Oscillator is registering a bullish signal as the %K has crossed above the %D and the RSI is rising slowly but hasn’t reached the 50% level. The stock has the following important levels. Resistance at $3.64 and support at $3.50.

Technical setups for Wednesday, June 21

Dear Readers,

First of all, please accept my apologies for the missing update of the blog on Monday, but I was very sick.

Let's start the day looking at the technical chart of Tellabs, Inc. (NASDAQ:TLAB). The stock  closed the day up 6.42% at $4.31 after hitting a session high of $4.34.  I don’t think this stock will stay here for long.  The technical chart is begging for an explosive move higher. I think the market makers have come to grips with the fact that TLAB will be at $5 some point in the near future. The technical indicators are looking better now for the stock. I went long at $4.19 as its quite possible we should see a short term move near $4.63/share. On the daily chart we can see that the stock has penetrated an important resistance line, which has been touched no fewer than four times since last month. The bias is now bullish in nearest term but remains neutral in medium term. With KD rising we could see possible rally coming for the stock. In addition, MACD has generated a buy signal. Let's keep an eye on TLAB as i think momentum will pick up.

TEKELEC (NASDAQ:TKLC) is displaying a short upside momentum, price broke out from the horizontal resistance mark around $8.25 per share on heavy volume. Expect an initial run up to $9.28. A few more positive session could bring MACD back above 0 meaning bull market. TEKELEC is a good bet for a long player.

GT Solar International, Inc. (NASDAQ:SOLR) has a Bullish looking stock chart. The stock broke out today on pretty good volume. If this chart does what is supposed to do, it will be going higher in the days to come. At the moment, there is no reason to sell the stock. Hold with a stop-loss at $12.46.

THQ Inc. (NASDAQ:THQI) - In the short-term, I identify an opportunity for an upside recovery, which remains to be confirmed. We have not had a clear capitulation to stop the bearish trend in progress but the major support around $3.33 which we arrived a few days ago have held, it managed to stop the decline. Technical indicators are showing some signs of recovery. MACD is poised for a positive crossover while its RSI is slowly picking up.

3 Hot stocks to watch in the week ahead

GT Solar International, Inc. (NASDAQ:SOLR) is breaking out !! The stock cleared resistance on heavy volume and looks ready to extend it's gains next week. However, I would like to point out that everytime it hits the top channel line there is a major correction. Next support lies at $12.78 but any close below this level could have further negative implications for the stock, and a move to $12.30 cannot be ruled ( bottom of the small uptrend channel ).  The technical indicators are supporting the bullishness. The MACD is moving up in the positive zone and is above the signal line. The ROC is in the positive zone and RSI is above the 50% level.

Brocade Communications Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:BRCD) broke $7.27 on Friday, hitting a high of $7.30. This high became resistance for the next breakout move. There is a chance the stock will consolidate next week, but keep a close eye in case the stock makes it move. Technically, the stock is in a good Bullish moment, with all indicators showing strength, its 50 day and 200 day moving average are going up while MACD is above 0 and %K line is on top of %D line.

Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ:NFLX) is showing some signs of exhaustion. The slow stochastic is in the overbought zone, but showing signs of falling. The volume is also declining and that is usually a good indication that we are close to a reversal. In addition, the CCI is also showing a negative divergence as the stock is gradually rallying the CCI is making lower highs and a bearish sign. The stock will stop at some point and the results could be a severe downturn. So be on alert, and be ready to cover your positions if we get a major sell off that triggers a sell signal. My current outlook is neutral. Please note that company insiders are selling in record numbers, once again. I believe this stock is overvalued now.

Trade Ideas for Wednesday December 08

Solarfun Power Holdings Co., Ltd. (NASDAQ:SOLF) - The violent reversal from its 200-day moving average leads the way to a retest of $8.27 support. If the stock can hold above this area we could assist to a rebound for a retest of today's highs and a possible breakout to the upside.

LDK Solar Co., Ltd. (NYSE:LDK), retested the 50-day mving average and failed to close over that level. We should see a potential upside if the stock manages to close over the 50-day mving average. Support continues to be located at $10.74 and any close below that level could signal further declines.

GT Solar International, Inc. (NASDAQ:SOLR) has had a nice run over the past days. At this stage, we can see that SOLR is now testing its line resistance at $8.27. A break of this resistance level could see the stock testing its next horizontal resistance line located at $8.78. Technical indicators are bullish as MACD momentum and histograms trend higher and RSI is above 50 level.

Oshkosh Corporation (NYSE:OSK)  had a huge breakout day on Tuesday and closed above its 200-day moving average. The breakout was on heavy volume. The next key resistance levels are located at $34.94 and $36.14. There looks to be good upside potential, so watch the stock very closely on Wednesday. Shareholders may remain invested with a stop- loss at $33.28.

Stocks to watch for Wednesday June 23

SWKS had a good run since the middle of May. It broke the resistance on 18 June and reached a high of 18.34 in yesterday's trading session. The stock is now pulling back on low volume to digest its gains and test support from its 10-day moving average at $16.87. Stochastic has made a bearish crossover and RSI is coming down from overbought levels. The MACD indicator is still above its signal line, indicating that the Bulls are still in control. If the stock is able to bounce off from $16.87 which is the 10-day moving average, there is a chance for the stock to test its recent high of $18.34.

PLUG closed up on high volume a sign that investors are buying into the stock. The technical chart is also showing bullish signs. The MACD indicator made a bullish crossover recently and RSI has more room to rise before it reaches overbought territory. +DI is also above –DI, it indicates a continuation of the up trend. Resistance is now at 0.684 followed by 0.75 (March 26 High).

The medium-term outlook for SOLR is bullish and a close above $6.19 will confirm this view. On the contrary, a close below $5.67 will have bearish implications and would push the stock to the 5.57-5.50 range. The MACD indicator is still above its signal line, indicating that the Bulls are still in control.

DNDN - The technical chart is looking weak with MACD below its signal line and –DI above the +DI together with an increasing ADX value. The support level for DNDN is near the $33 level which is where the 200-day moving average is located.
