Technical setups for Next Week

Friday was perfect for Fortinet, Inc. (NASDAQ:FTNT) because it set a new all time high on big volume coming out of a consolidation. This is the perfect set-up for buying stocks. I'll be watching the stock next week, looking for a follow through move. As long as the stock stay above $24.85, the bullish scenario still intact. Technical chart shows very strong bullish sign. First of all the stock is trading above both 50-day and 200-day moving average with both moving average pointing upwards. Then the MACD indicator is rising above "0" also indicating a buy. In addition, KD line still show the stock is on the positive swing.

I mentioned a few times on twitter over the past days how TKLC was looking bullish to me and nothing has occurred on the chart to sway my initial thoughts, in fact, I initiated a long position in the stock this week, when it crossed its 50-day moving average. Looking at the chart, the stock has been in a short-term uptrend, making higher highs and higher lows and it has been steadily finding support on pullbacks. Result of increasing price turn shows that MFI is increasing again. MACD Histogram is confirming an up trend like the same. The resistance of up trend which will be considered next week is defined at $9.31. I keep my long position in it.

Shares of A123 Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:AONE) continue to trade below $5. If A123 Systems can close above the 20 day moving average and hold it, I feel the stock can start a new uptrend. Mixed signals are seen on the technical chart above. Stochastic analysis is signaling a neutral outlook with the K% and D% overlapping. However, MACD Histogram is flashing bullish outlook while RSI shows oversold readings.

Lululemon Athletica inc. (NASDAQ:LULU) should re-test the breakout trend line, giving us another opportunity to enter.

Friday Stock Watchlist: 5 Technical Setups to Watch

Good Morning, Traders. TEKELEC (NASDAQ:TKLC) looks ripe for an explosive move upwards. The stock had a bullish momentum on Thrusday, gaining more than 7% and closing near the highs of the session. Very strong. So, with the bulls pushing shares higher, I expect the stock to see a continuation of high volume and price appreciation in today's market. Technically Speaking, this stock is showing signs of an upcoming breakout. The stock has built a durable base at $7.70 and has begun to move strongly off that base and now the stock is under accumulation again. In addition, the MACD is also showing a new uptrend developing and looks like it could cross the zero line if this trend continues. That is crucial because a weak bearish signal then becomes a bullish signal. The stochastics back up the volume indicator as the oscillator has exited oversold status and is on a bullish trend. I believe the stock is gaining momentum and could keep running !! Watch the stock closely today.

I've mentioned THQ Inc. (NASDAQ:THQI) for the bulls out there. I stand by this position. The stock made a nice move on Thursday and looks ready to continue today. The Stochastic Oscillator is registering a bullish signal as the %K has crossed above the %D. The nearest trend is in favour of Bulls and THQI has room to go higher. If the stock can break through $3.54, we should see strong volume drive the stock higher. You need to watch the stock closely because it could break resistance soon.

Motorola Mobility Holdings Inc (NYSE:MMI) - It seems that all bad news has been fully priced into this stock. If support holds and sentiment improves towards the sector a bounce or move higher could be in the cards.

Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Inc.(NASDAQ:JAZZ) - As long as the stock holds above the $26.52 support level the intermediate-term picture should remain positive. JAZZ has made a transition from down trend to uptrend. The short-term trend is bullish and a move to the $34.50 appears likely.

Canadian Solar Inc. (NASDAQ:CSIQ) is now positive and a move to $12-12.5 appears likely. The positive outlook would be in force as long as the stock remains above the 50-day moving average (now 9.74). Remain invested with a stop-loss at $9.24. The technical daily chart show a continuation of the trend with MACD and RSI trending upwards.

Technical setups for Wednesday, June 21

Dear Readers,

First of all, please accept my apologies for the missing update of the blog on Monday, but I was very sick.

Let's start the day looking at the technical chart of Tellabs, Inc. (NASDAQ:TLAB). The stock closed the day up 6.42% at $4.31 after hitting a session high of $4.34. I don’t think this stock will stay here for long. The technical chart is begging for an explosive move higher. I think the market makers have come to grips with the fact that TLAB will be at $5 some point in the near future. The technical indicators are looking better now for the stock. I went long at $4.19 as its quite possible we should see a short term move near $4.63/share. On the daily chart we can see that the stock has penetrated an important resistance line, which has been touched no fewer than four times since last month. The bias is now bullish in nearest term but remains neutral in medium term. With KD rising we could see possible rally coming for the stock. In addition, MACD has generated a buy signal. Let's keep an eye on TLAB as i think momentum will pick up.

TEKELEC (NASDAQ:TKLC) is displaying a short upside momentum, price broke out from the horizontal resistance mark around $8.25 per share on heavy volume. Expect an initial run up to $9.28. A few more positive session could bring MACD back above 0 meaning bull market. TEKELEC is a good bet for a long player.

GT Solar International, Inc. (NASDAQ:SOLR) has a Bullish looking stock chart. The stock broke out today on pretty good volume. If this chart does what is supposed to do, it will be going higher in the days to come. At the moment, there is no reason to sell the stock. Hold with a stop-loss at $12.46.

THQ Inc. (NASDAQ:THQI) - In the short-term, I identify an opportunity for an upside recovery, which remains to be confirmed. We have not had a clear capitulation to stop the bearish trend in progress but the major support around $3.33 which we arrived a few days ago have held, it managed to stop the decline. Technical indicators are showing some signs of recovery. MACD is poised for a positive crossover while its RSI is slowly picking up.

Possible Bounce Plays for Thursday

Hello Traders,

FormFactor, Inc. (NASDAQ:FORM) could be a solid bounce play after hitting a bottom where its support levels are. Take a look at the chart above to see the technicals on FORM....Technically speaking, the stock looks weak as the stock is still trading below both 50 day and 200 day moving average with MACD below 0. However, as %K line has crossed on top over %D line we probably could be expecting a rally. I believe that the stock is now at a bottom and setup for a big bounce to the upside. So, since it is trading at its support levels, there is an increasing likelihood to witness an increase in market valuation. FormFactor, Inc. is a financially solid company with great fundamentals and will continue to be an excellent play in its sector. The currrent price is also certainly very attractive. Based on both fundamental and technical reasons, there is a near term to midterm opportunity for shares of FORM and rebound to higher levels.

Tellabs, Inc. (NASDAQ:TLAB) showed some relative strength in today's trading session closing just 0.5% lower at $4.12. The near-term trend is bearish and the stock faces resistance at 4.17-4.22. A close above this range is a pre-requisite for the reversal of the bearish trend. Technically, the daily chart shows possible new rally as %K line has crossed on top over %D line while ROC is still at oversold level. Honestly, I think this stock is also undervalued and is ready for a nice ride upwards soon.

TEKELEC (NASDAQ:TKLC) caught my eye today. Volume was very high near its uptrend line support, suggesting a reversal. This stock could easily bounce back to near $8.45 a share.

Some stock trading ideas for June 3rd

Sky mobi Ltd (NASDAQ:MOBI) - Technically, there is no reason to take exposure in this stock as there is no evidence of the reversal of the ongoing downward move. However, if the support at $8 holds, a rally towards 9-9.48 could be seen. Only a close above $9.48 will confirm the short term low for the stock. For now, it would be better to stay away from this stock. Stop loss for long positions may be placed at $8.03.

InterDigital, Inc. (NASDAQ:IDCC) - The near-term trend is bearish and the drop below $42 confirmed the weak outlook. $39.66 is a crucial level. Breakdown will result in a greater fall.

TEKELEC (NASDAQ:TKLC) held the $8.61 support level ( 20-day moving average ) on two attempts to break below it this week. When a support level holds this many times, the stock will often reverse direction and try to move higher. The $8.61 level is now a key support level to watch. Most technical indicators still supporting the upward move. MACD is positive and above the signal line. RSI is also moving up and above its 50% level. So, keep TKLC on your radar!

Motorola Mobility Holdings Inc (NYSE:MMI) - MMI has rebounded today ! The stock will now have resistance at the $25.43 level. MMI is a buy on dips below $24.

Top 4 Setups for Wednesday

Shares of DryShips Inc. (NASDAQ:DRYS) rose 8% to $4.05 cents per share. The technical chart above shows the stock could still go higher as %K line is rising on top of %D line indicating buy signal. In addition, ROC is still at oversold level and could attract bargain hunters. However, the stock is still in bear market as MACD and signal line are still below 0. Based on current trend, the stock may go till $4.54 per share or the 50 day sma before facing the next resistence.

The area comprehended between $43 and $44 represents a heavy resistance for Dendreon Corporation (NASDAQ:DNDN). At this stage, the stock is extended for additional positions, and is near the overbought zone. I really like the chart but at this level I would wait for a pull back before putting any cash to work. A close above $43.96 would have positive implications and could drive the stock much higher. Keep DNDN on your radar.

FormFactor, Inc. (NASDAQ:FORM) corrected from its recent high, but received support from its 200 day EMA. The stock rallied with the market today but the bounce stalled near its 50-day sma. Short-term technical indicators are improving and the MACD on the daily chart shows a possible bullish crossover. In addition, the slow stochastics has moved up strongly from the oversold zone. Right now, the stock looks like it could really get some momentum if it could get over its 50-day moving average at $9.98. If the stock can break above this level, it's worth a trade. FORM will move very quickly, so keep a very close eye on the stock.

TEKELEC (NASDAQ:TKLC) has appeared recently on my blog for a potential move higher. Looking at technical chart above, you can see for yourself that the recent gains have come on relatively strong volume. Other factors that are in favor of a move higher is the technical indicator On Balance Volume and the the Relative Strength Index. In addition, the stock is trading above both 20 day and 50 day moving average and MACD is above 0 showing positive momentum. Resistance for Wednesday’s move is $9.22, which reflects Tuesday’s high of the day.

Friday's Stocks to Watch, May 27

TEKELEC (NASDAQ:TKLC) displayed some impressive relative strength with a 5.58% gain. Today TKLC broke out of its bull flag suggesting a further move to the upside and continuation of this bullish trend. The technical indicators are looking better now for the stock. The stock has just entered into a short-term bull market as the stock is on top of 20 day and 50 day moving averages. Other technical indicator such as MACD, is above 0 showing positive momentum while KD line also show buy signal as %K line is top of %D line. In addition, On Balance Volume is increasing, indicating accumulation of shares in the market. Technically speaking the stock is now painting a short-term “Bullish” picture. Consistent move above $9.07 ( horizontal resistance line ) could be a beginning of a new technical bullish reversal at least testing 10.63/11.20 area.

FormFactor, Inc. (NASDAQ:FORM) has been beaten down since last month, but at this moment it seems pretty clear that buyers have been waiting in the 9-9.20 range. It looks like it is starting to turn back up and indicators are giving the first bullish signs. The Stochastic Oscillator is registering a bullish signal as the %K has crossed above the %D and the RSI is rising slowly but hasn’t reached the 50% level. The stock needs to close above $9.94 on a daily basis in order to mitigate the negative near term view. The stock has the following important levels. Resistance at $9.62 and support at $9.24.

I continue to watch $6.12 for A123 Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:AONE), if it can break up through there, its worth it for me to buy for a trade. This is a price to keep an eye on in the future. On the downside, there continues to be solid support around $5.50. Pullbacks below this level should be bought with a tight stop at $5.29. Short-term technical indicators are improving and MACD histogram bars are slowly picking up while RSI is neutral at 50. Keep an eye on it.

salesforce.com, inc. (NYSE:CRM) broke out to a new all-time high today, accompanied by a good volume suggesting higher levels.The stock has been in a nice uptrend for the last two weeks and it looks very strong with both 50 day and 200 day moving average going up while %K line is on top of %D line. CRM is now on the overbought level, so this means a possible correction is near. Watchout for support at 150.58, as long as the stock does not go below this level on its correction phase, we are still safe. CRM is a stock to keep an eye on for awhile.
