A few chart setups for the coming days and trading rules

Dearest readers,

I would like to thank you all for your cooperation and support during these last few months of the year, with a high increase of followers on Stocktwits (76000) and a great increase in the number of followers on twitter that has almost reached 38000 followers. Then, announce that in the next 3 weeks I will be on vacation and will not be back to update the blog until 10th of August. But before I leave you, I added a few charts with potential trade ideas for the coming days and once again my trading rules for newbies. Good luck to all of you.

Safe Bulkers, Inc. (NYSE: SB) jumped 24 cents, or 11.88%, Friday to 2.26, breaking out after consolidating for two weeks in a bullish flag formation. If the stock breaks Friday's high of the day in the 2.3 area, it could retest the November highs in the 2.6-2.7 area within the next couple of days. Momentum key indicators are in bullish mode on the daily chart.

Blackberry (NYSE: BB) the daily chart above is showing a stock that could be making strides toward turning higher. The daily MACD is curling nicely and the current $6.85 - $7 area looks like a some solid support/interest. We could see a quick pop from these levels.

Tonix Pharmaceuticals Holding Corp (NASDAQ: TNXP) is getting ready to come out of this base pattern. A close above 60c gets the party started. I would like to point out that while the stock is consolidating the accumulation line still rising, which means, someone is buying this dip.

Bio-Path Holdings Inc (NASDAQ: BPTH) appears to have solid footing in the $13.25's and looks ready to test the $15's again.

Kadmon Holdings Inc (NYSE: KDMN) has been in a strong upwards trend the past few weeks and is correcting some of the big gains while working out the overbought conditions. The 2.4 area level could provide a good entry point for short-term trades.

AK Steel Holding (NYSE: AKS) seems to be a promising stock to follow in the coming days. The stock broke the downtrend line from the February peak of $3.29, which sets the stage for additional gains. Thing to watch out now for this stock is its resistance at 2.43 (declining EMA100), which if broken may give the possibility of it going to as high as 2.61 in short-term.

Neptune Wellness Solutions Inc (NASDAQ: NEPT) is one of the hottest stocks in the market right now. The stock broke out to all time highs again last week and the volume was very strong, signaling that this move should hold. This is generally a hot buy from a technical perspective and the short-covering will continue to power the stock higher. The momentum clearly favors the bulls. The stock is now very overbought and it seems reasonable that it should rest. Technically a buy on any dip to the pivot zone.

Dean Foods Co (NYSE: DF) broke the descending channel from the February highs on relative high volume and could eventually rally up to test its key resistance zone around the 1.5 area in the next sessions. In addition, MACD indicates positive momentum, while RSI is also gaining strength. Keep it on your watch list.

Boeing (NYSE: BA) Volume is picking up but the stock needs to break this resistance zone first to me. If the stock can break out above $380 with heavy volume, I think the stock could shoot up to test $397 area. There looks to be good upside potential, so watch the stock very closely.

Ameri Holdings Inc (NASDAQ: AMRH) is a penny stock I am watching closely. It can pop big time on any positive news. The stock is trading within an uptrend and in the short-term outlook it could rise to around 42c

Nio Inc (NYSE: NIO) Coiling up here. A break through this 3.52 area could accelerate it higher.

Vislink Technologies Inc (NASDAQ: VISL) was added to my watchlist as a possible bottom bounce-play for another possible swing trade. It is extremely oversold at this price level. Volume picked up a bit on Friday and the daily MACD is starting to curl up, suggesting that a positive crossover could be coming soon. Bargain hunters may want to accumulate here.

I decided to share you all followers again my basic trading rules that should be taken always in consideration for trading in order to become a successful trader in the stock market.

1 - The trend is your friend, so never go against the trend.
2 - Keep your losses small. Golden rule: Cut losses short. Let profits run.
3 - Use stops. The stop loss should be placed few cents below the supports and not at the same level. 4 - Learn the basics of fundamentals, charts and technical indicators.
5 - The good trader is one who makes consistent gains, so don’t be a greedy trader, appreciate the small and the big gains.
6 - Do not fear the market. Be always confident in your trade decisions.
7 - Never buy what you do not want, because you think it is cheap.
8 - Always be conscious that the loss may arise and you should be prepared for that to happen. Open mind.
9 - For large positions, you must to have total control of the market never losing sight
10 - Volume is a leading indicator, so play the breakouts using the volume as support of your decision.
11 - Chart breaks without volume could be a trap and the probabilities of succeeding are low
12 - Do not be hasty to buy or sell a stock, every day there are new opportunities to make money. Be patient is the key of success of any trader.
13 - Only believe fundamentals as long as the technical signals follow.
14 - Trading very speculative stocks is a frequent mistake.
15 - Do not trade positions too large relative to your available capital.
16 - Do not invest all your money in one company. Your portfolio must be diversified.
17 - The Greed to pick tops or bottoms is a usual error. Wait for the perfect and confirmed signal.
18 - Do not make trading decisions based on a story you saw in the morning paper. The market many times has already discounted the information.
19 - Review your missteps to improve your skills

As i always say, with patience and discipline, you can take much more from the stock market than you ever gave. Trading stocks is not easy for beginners or professionals, it is really very hard and requires lot of attention and knowledge. If stock trading was easy, everyone would be doing it. You can be successful at the stock market, with patience, discipline and a good trade set-up. The key objective is to make money and not lose it.

Interesting chart setups to watch next week

Bio-Path Holdings Inc (NASDAQ: BPTH) should be on your radar screen Monday following news the company submitted a request for withdrawal of registration statement. Closed in after hours at $22.09. From a technical standpoint, the stock has been forming a nice base above the rising EMA50 marked at yellow. If this pattern is resolved on the upside, the stock can potentially test $25 levels. The short-term support is seen at $14.76 levels.

Sphere 3D Corp (NASDAQ: ANY) Low float stocks continue to get lots of attention and im trying to play all the best setups, keeping my focus on these small names, because the returns could be tremendous in this enviroment but always using tight stops. I've seen low float stocks run on nothing, no news, no material events so I would not be surprised to see also ANY get a nice push based on this great bottom pattern. The stock looks ready to break out some point soon, and with the low float it won't take much buying pressure to get this stock back to where it belongs. After trading below its EMA50 ANY has broken out of that moving average placed on its daily candlestick charts in yesterday’s trade on volume. Im accumulating with a stop loss being placed below 2.4 and going forward we can expect a target of 3.4-4.

Midatech Pharma (NASDAQ: MTP) has retraced most of its recent gains and looks ready to renew its bullish momentum. MTP is currently forming a falling wedge pattern, indicated by the two unparallel black lines in the chart above, while MACD Hist is displaying a positive divergence. That said, the stock should attempt to knock out the upper trendline of the falling wedge pattern and rally towards $3.5 as its primary upside target.

New Age Beverages Corp (NASDAQ: NBEV) has been pulling back forming a potential bull flag formation on hourly and finding support in the 5.5 levels. Pullbacks are a normal part of an uptrend after a huge rally. This suggests that stock should resume to the upside as far as dips stay above 5.30. Lets see how this plays out next week.

Atossa Genetics Inc (NASDAQ: ATOS) could get hot in the coming days and weeks. The continue to trade sideways, but I am seeing a lot of strong bullish signals, such as the Golden cross and the huge accumulation on the A/D indicator. Add this stock to your watchlist.

Parsley Energy Inc (NYSE: PE) broke out of a consolidation that has been building for about 3 months on volume, and based on one market theory the stock is set to soar higher. Next major resistance lies at 21.37

Second Sight Medical Products Inc (NASDAQ: EYES) after a nice pullback on Thursday the stock is back on the upswing. There could be more big gains on the way for this stock, and its worthy of getting recognizition on the watchlist. Next pivot resistance point is 1.2

Navios Maritime Holdings Inc. (NYSE: NM) has come out of no where the last few sessions gaining nearly 80% in just two weeks. Volume and price is on the rise and that means you should be adding this name to your watchlist. As I always say, follow the smart money. I will be waiting for a pullback to enter.

Boxlight Corp (NASDAQ: BOXL) closed up 17 cents and could see an even bigger move if the buyers continue to come into this stock. BOXL has a low float, a great story, and in my view, should be trading well over $4 in the short term. On watch.

Several technical chart setups to follow next week

Happy weekend, readers and traders,

After a great vacation in Sierra Nevada (Spain), time to get back to reality. What a year it has been so far! Im keeping the momentum going. Congrats again to everyone that raked in those huge quadruple digit gains on BPTH (as u know i tweeted my entry before the crowd at 2.25 on 28th of February (Over 1,000+%). Im moving on immediately to another potential multiple digit winner TOUGHBUILT INDU/SH (NASDAQ: TBLT). Currently trading in the $1.6 range, this ticker looks prepared for a potential huge momentum rush. Based on the chart pattern and recent news, i don’t see it staying under two dollar for too long. The stock is expected to continue its rally after it broke the Falling Wedge pattern to the upside and also broke the $1.5 resistance area. On top of that, the MACD is also showing a bullish divergence plus a possible bullish cross. This indicator reveals the market's underlying strength. If it can push above $1.69 convincingly next week, it could be off to the races. Strong resistance levels to watch 2.75 and 3.50 Im long.

Blackberry (NYSE: BB) showed buying strength all day on Friday. The stock price is on the verge of breaking out and it could happen very soon. The volume dramatically increased as the stock ran to near its major resistance, showing us there are buyers watching the stock. If it breaks 9.25 the stock will absolutely fly into the 10's right away.

Nio Inc - ADR (NYSE: NIO) is showing signs of a potential short-term reversal trend. Looking for a breakout above 7.2

Gevo Inc (NASDAQ: GEVO) performed well Friday, closing up 7.66% on volume and I expect to see a continuation move next week. First resistance is now located at $2.6, which reflects Friday's high. Once the stock breaks resistance, I expect to see the buyer push the stock higher. The daily technical indicators are reversing up and are advocating for a technical rebound. Long setup.

Kadmon Holdings Inc (NYSE: KDMN) nice bounce off 100-day EMA within a well formed bull flag. The stock price continues to trade above its key short-term EMAs. Keep an eye for a possible breakout over 2.89

Alliqua Biomedical Inc (NASDAQ: ALQA) broke key resistance Friday on volume, which should be the start of another potential upside move. Immediate resistance is $3.65, which reflects Friday’s high of the day. Long setup on watch.

Ra Pharmaceuticals Inc (NASDAQ: RARX) closed strong on Friday, as the stock ended the day at highs. The technical daily chart shows a continuation of the trend with MACD and RSI in the Bullish areas. This stock is on the top of my watch list due to the recent price action, volume and momentum. Technically, a buy on any dip.

Amicus Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ: FOLD) The chart pattern is compressed and this stock is coiling up for a larger move. Long setup on watch.

Tesla Motors (NASDAQ: TSLA) Still watching it, especially after Friday's action. The MACD-histogram has been sloping up and the RSI is rising, indicating bullishness. Watching over $287 for a trade.

Exelon (NYSE: EXC) Nice consolidaiton. The chart is showing a slightly bullish bias. Let’s see whether the stock price can gather enough momentum to break through 49. Long setup on watch.

Bio-Path Holdings Inc (NASDAQ: BPTH) no position, just sharing the 15-minutes chart just for your consideration. The euphoria has gone away so play it with tight stops.
