My Watchlist for Wednesday, August 24

VirnetX Holding Corporation (NYSEMKT:VHC) remains oversold and is gaining momentum again. The price broke above the small bull flag formation by gaining 4 per cent on decent volume. I believe it is ready to post a nice bounce and I do not see any strong resistance on the technical chart until $3.48 (50EMA). We have all seen how quickly this stock can head higher, when the buyers come. A stop loss should be placed below 2.53

Esperion Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ:ESPR) is inching closer and closer to a breakout. Buying momentum is still positive and strengthening. I will continue to watch this stock. Nice gap to fill if it can break through resistance. The real fireworks should begin if the stock price can close above $11.60. As long as the stock can remain above 10.5, I like the stock.

Adamis Pharmaceuticals Corp (NASDAQ:ADMP) had a remarkable move up today with very high volume. The short-term outlook is positive and a move to 3.30/3.5 appears likely. Among oscillators, the RSI and MACD are currently showing positive momentum.

Clovis Oncology Inc (NASDAQ:CLVS) broke out in a big way on massive volume today after the company announced that the FDA has accepted Clovis’ NDA for accelerated approval of rucaparib and granted priority review status to the application with a PDUFA date of February 23, 2017. The heavy buying makes this an interesting situation and one worth watching on Wednesday. I believe we will see some nice follow through. I would look for a move up to $26.92 resistance. If it passes that, there is very strong resistance at $30 coming up next.

Capstone Turbine Corporation (NASDAQ:CPST) had a very bullish move today breaking several resistance lines with large volume. With the MACD turning up and above its signal line, this stock could post a nice rally from current levels. Stay tuned.

Stocks to Watch for December 31, 2014

I'm putting Celldex Therapeutics, Inc.(NASDAQ:CLDX) back on the list for another week. After making a big move in November, the stock has been in a consolidation mode. I feel it is going to make an upside move soon. The volume has been quite modest and the MACD seems to be stabilizing, which could power the rally that I think is coming. Additionally, the stock is still trading above its EMAs with RSI also in the Bullish territory. Resistance is $19.45, which is the top of this small consolidation range. This is a fast moving stock, so watch it closely but use your stops if it fails on the breakout. Im long.

Toll Brothers Inc (NYSE:TOL) has a very interesting chart as the stock looks to be ready for a good upside move. It closed up $.28 on Tuesday as it hit a high of $33.37 on the day. This high broke above Monday’s high, which is another signal for an upside move. I'm a buyer of TOL once it breaks today’s high and expect to see heavy volume drive the stock higher.

Shares of BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) closed again above the $11 level, a bullish sign that puts the next stage of resistance at $12.54. On the technical chart, we can see a few things going on here. First, the stock is testing a horizontal trendline acting as potential resistance. Also, MACD is indicating a trend reversal to the upside. Last, and definitely not least, we can see that the money seems to be flowing into the stock as indicated by the A/D indicator.

Mattel, Inc. (NASDAQ:MAT) failed to follow-through to the upside after yesterday's rally. Major support is located at $30.39 while resistance is located at $31.01.

Neurometrix Inc (NASDAQ:NURO) is set to rock IMHO. The company will unveil Quell, the Company’s Revolutionary wearable pain relief device at CES in Las Vegas in January 2015. This device utilizes NeuroMetrix's proprietary non-invasive neurostimulation technology to provide relief from chronic pain, particularly neuropathic pain such as due to diabetes and lower back problems. From a technical standpoint, the stock has been basing here over the past 11 weeks, while some indicators continue to show positive divergences. A big upside surprise from the CES event next week could be the catalyst needed to help move share prices back above $2 level. I went long today.

Arena Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ:ARNA) is trying to regain the ground that it lost last week. From a technical perspective, the stock has the opportunity to start new rally as %K line is back above %D line. However since the stock overall is still weak as the MACD is still below 0 and the stock is below the major EMAs, wait on the sideline for now before making any investment decision. I feel that a double bottom is a possibility here.

Swing Trade Setups To Watch Next Week

Shares of Zynga Inc (NASDAQ:ZNGA) closed on Friday with a gain of 4.81 per cent at 5.99 on decent volume. The technical chart is now showing a possible inverted head and shoulders pattern formation, which means that a break to the upside is highly probable. If this bullish pattern completes and plays out target is about 7.50. The neckline is located at 6.18-6.2 and it needs to get broken in order to confirm the pattern. Inverted Head and Shoulders patterns play out about 80 percent of the time but there is a 20 percent rate of failure.

Watch Toll Brothers Inc (NYSE:TOL) very closely next week as it is sitting on its 50 day MA. Additionally, there is a bullish MACD crossover and the RSI is up trending and gaining momentum. Existing investors can remain invested with a stop loss at $25 .Only a close below this level would negate the positive outlook.

Shares of FormFactor, Inc.(NASDAQ:FORM) have been doing well this year, rising from 52 week low of 4.68 in December to 6.50, a 40% plus gain in six months. Let's take a look at the technical chart above and see if the stock is worth buying. The chart shows the stock is on a bull market, as the stock is trading above both 50-day and 200-day moving average and 50-day MA is on top of 200 day MA heading upwards. Additionally, MACD is rising above 0 also indicating a buy and accumulation/distribution indicator still show the stock is on the positive swing.

Delta Air Lines, Inc. (NYSE:DAL) The MACD-histogram has been sloping up and the daily slow stochastics and RSI are both rising, indicating bullishness. Watching over $11.58 for a trade.

Long Stock Ideas for March 29 th

I've alerted my readers about the potential upside movement in Zalicus Inc (NASDAQ:ZLCS) shares yesterday and today to all my twitter followers at $1.08. The stock has come up to my expectations as it was among the top gainers of Nasdaq and closed up 15.74 percent at $1.25 trading more than 8.7 Million shares, well above its average volume. These gains are really significant and represent substantial profit for not only my twitter followers and subscribers but also any other investors who took advantage of my alert early, before the market caught on. If you are on board there is nothing more to do but enjoy the ride ;-) ..... A quick look at the technical chart :

1) ZLCS is currently moving up with heavy volume

2) MACD lines are going up
3) RSI still above the neutral 50 level at 72, buyers strength still persists.
4) Money Flow-Index still climbing.
5) The +DI crossed up through the -DI this month - Bullish.
6) %K line has crossed on top over %D line
7) OBV still climbing.

8) The accumulation/distribution indicator shows the stock under strong accumulation

The strong accumulation over the past days has shown funds moving into the company and moved share prices upward. Keep watching the stock this week since anticipated increased volume tomorrow that could push shares much higher. Don't miss this opportunity research the stock now !

Juniper Networks, Inc. (NYSE:JNPR) saw continued buying pressure today. I think current levels offer a great chance to play a rebound in shares. The stock closed today at $22.41 above the 50-day MA. From a technical standpoint, the stock has build a good support around $20.5 and $21 recently and do has the chance to go up. Any breakout above 200-day MA will be positive sign.

Toll Brothers, Inc. (NYSE:TOL) had a strong move today, as the stock set new 52-week highs. The stock hit a high of $25.29, which is resistance for the follow through move. The medium term trend is bullish as the stock is above 50-day and 200-day moving averages with both moving averages going up. You should watch this stock closely on Thursday.

PNC Financial Services (NYSE:PNC) broke out to a new all-time high today, accompained by a strong volume suggesting higher levels. The technical chart still showing a bullish bias. KD line shows positive signs as %K line is rising on top over %D line and RSI continue moving up. I suspect the stock may continue to appreciate over the coming days. Stay tuned !!

8x8, Inc. (NASDAQ:EGHT) - The daily MACD is near to giving a new buy signal and the Histogram is near to zero line. The stock needs to take out resistance at the 4.05 area to continue higher. Keeping it on the list.

Stock Market Ideas for Thursday, February 10

In line with my prior expectation, Toll Brothers, Inc. (NYSE:TOL) moved up on Wednesday and is testing key resistance currently. Hence, fresh long position is recommended only if the stock climbs above $21.95 with tight stop-loss at $21.34.

JDS Uniphase Corporation (NASDAQ:JDSU) had a strong day and broke through its resistance line. The volume confirmed the breakout, as it was greater than average. This is what strong stocks generally do in a rebound : break resistance, hold the breakout and continue higher. The technical chart shows a very strong upward momentum as the stock is above the 50 day moving average with both 200 day and 50 day moving average going up. In addition , RSI and MACD also show very bullish signs.

There appears to be marginal downside risk on Bank of America Corporation (NYSE:BAC) from prevailing levels. The near-term trend is bullish and a move to the 15-15.24 range appears likely. The overall trend appears really positive.

The recent reversal in MBIA Inc. (NYSE:MBI) could be a buy signal. MBI traded down today, but not enough to make me stop watching. The volume was weak compared with recent sessions when prices rose, which means traders are not betting on the downside. I think the stock is still in a consolidation range, waiting to make a big move. This stock is going to have a big move and it should be to the upside.

The short bullish momentum of GigaMedia Limited (NASDAQ:GIGM) continued today. The stock has recovered nicely and can potentially set-up very well for a swing-trade if the stock breaks through the resistance level at $1.30. Technical indicators are becoming more favorable with MACD and Stochastics starting to turn up. There could be good upside in this trade, so watch GIGM closely tomorrow.

Other stocks to watch :

Cell Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ:CTIC) stock continues to hold $.35 but seems to have stalled here. A break below from this point forward would be very bearish.

Top Trade Ideas for Wednesday, February 9

Rambus Inc. (NASDAQ:RMBS), after a big price-volume surge in December, the stock has consolidated in the last two months in the 20-21.50 trading range, which looks like it's ready to be broken. The consolidation and compression that has been going on in the last weeks is very healthy. The technical daily chart still showing a bullish bias. KD line shows positive signs as %K line is rising on top over %D line and RSI continue moving up. If a breakout occurs I expect to see the stock in the 22.15-22.50 range short-term.

Toll Brothers, Inc. (NYSE:TOL) finished the session today with a gain of 81 cents, or 4%, on higher-than-average volume, closing near the session high. This is an indication that current momentum could continue in the next few trading days toward the 21.50-22 area. Watch TOL trade tomorrow since it has solid fundamentals and technicals suggesting that share prices could be continue on an upwards path, especially in the near-term.

ARM Holdings plc (NASDAQ:ARMH) remains one of the hottest stocks on the market. The stock has been in a nice uptrend for the last two weeks and it looks very strong with both 50 day and 200 day moving average going up. ARMH is now on the overbought level, so this means a possible correction is near. This may give us a chance to jump in on the stock when it moves lower. ARMH is a stock to keep an eye on for awhile.

A123 Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:AONE) was very strong on Tuesday, as the stock closed up $.61 on 2x the normal daily volume. This is a huge move for AONE, and could be the start of a breakout move. Resistance is $10.99, which was the high of January. I'm watching the stock for the breakout move and expect it to happen soon. Once AONE breaks through, we should see a heavy increase in buying. Technically, the chart looks Bullish, with the 50 dma on top of 200 dma. In addiction with %K line above %D line we should see the stock continue to go up.

Other stocks to watch :

Motorola Mobility Holdings Inc (NYSE:MMI) surged in the final hour of trading on Tuesday. The stock is now testing the 10-day moving average currently located at $30.20. A close over this level would be very bullish and signal a short term trend change. MMI is a great company and I plan to buy the stock on a close over the 10-day moving average.

The short-term trend for Eagle Bulk Shipping Inc. (NASDAQ:EGLE) is clearly down and the stock appears headed to test its major support at $3.91. Any break below this level may take prices down to $3. At this moment the stock is extremely oversold and could bounce significantly at any time. Investors with a higher risk appetite can buy the stock here with a stop at $3.91. The short-term outlook for the stock will turn positive only on a close above the first resistance at $4.17.

Tellabs, Inc. (NASDAQ:TLAB) has long-term support in the zone between $5.40 and $5.51. Buying can be done in this zone with a stop at $4.95 for long-term. Long-term targets are $6.81 and then $7.34.

Toll Brothers, Inc. (NYSE:TOL) is consolidating in a narrow band between $20.10 and $20.94. The outlook for the stock is positive. The target on a breakout above $20.94 is $23.24. Hold it with a stop at $19.78.

The short and medium-term trend in KB Home (NYSE:KBH) looks promising. The stock is currently consolidating sideways after hitting a high of $15.85 in mid of this month. Short-term support exists at $14.58 and the next support level is $14.14. Short-term resistance exists at $15.71. But the stock has the potential to move up beyond $15.85 to $16.06 and then $18. Hold with a stop at $14.14.

Trade Ideas for Friday, January 07

Affymax, Inc. (NASDAQ:AFFY) has a lot of fundamental and technical factors suggesting it is ready to move to much higher levels. The stock opened flat at $6.61 but it exploded to the upside in the afternoon and closed at the high. The fact that the stock was up in a down market, confirms to us, that there are buyers in AFFY. The volume was also good. Looking at the technical chart, the stock broke out of a small consolidation range that was set between the $6.50 and the $6.9 level. I'll be watching the stock tomorrow for a continuation of this breakout. A possible test of last month high at $7.75 is very likely. The short term trend is still bullish with stock trading above 20 day and 50 day moving averages with MACD on top of signal line and %K line on top of %D line. Volume has been rising with prices and the on-balance volume is also moving higher. The stock has been experiencing strong support at this levels, thus representing confidence and an increased potential to experience an appreciation in market value. On the fundamentals side, the company is debt free and has $4.14 in cash per share. AFFY could be on the verge of making a strong move to the upside...so keep watching the stock.

Borders Group, Inc. (NYSE:BGP) is trading higher after hours, on reports that the company is in discussions with restructuring advisers about how to rework its debt-heavy balance sheet. I'm expecting it to gap up tomorrow morning.

Toll Brothers, Inc. (NYSE:TOL) broke out today above a major resistance point. Short-term technical indicators are improving and the MACD on the daily chart recently produced a new buy signal. If the stock can break today’s high of $20.95, we should see a strong follow through move. TOL will move very quickly, so keep a very close eye on the stock.

Stocks to watch next week

I continue to watch $4.70 for ELN, if it can break up through there, its worth it for me to buy for a trade. This is a price to keep an eye on in the future. On the downside, there continues to be solid support just above $4.50 ( 13-day moving average ). Pullbacks below this level should be bought with a tight stop at $4.40. Short-term technical indicators are improving and MACD histogram bars are slowly picking up while RSI is neutral at 50. Keep an eye on ELN next week.

Adobe Systems Incorporated (NASDAQ:ADBE) has been one of the hottest stocks on the Nasdaq recently. The stock closed below the 200 day moving average today so i will be waiting for the stock to close back over it before start buying.

JDS Uniphase Corporation (NASDAQ:JDSU) had another strong day Friday. I am looking for a close over $11.74 and a break above minor resistance located at $11.92. I think expect a retest of $12.89 soon. On the downside, the 50 day moving average is now trending up so all pullbacks to the 50 day ( $10.46 ) are a good entry point.

Motorola, Inc. (NYSE:MOT) is still trading around $8 which has been a strong resistance over the past several days. I now plan to buy the stock if it can break Thursday's high of $8.14. The trend is still up.

TOL was upgraded by KeyBanc Capital Mkts on Friday with a $22 price target. I will be buying the stock when it breaks up through $19.02 ( 200-day moving average ). The stock is extremely overbought right now and the odds for a downturn are very high.

TOL - The stock broke down its major support on increased volume today indicating a strong downmove in the coming days. Only the break of the prior support now resistance confirmed by a daily closing will support higher levels. Keep watching the stock for a major downmove if it breaks the next support at $19.42 on a close basis.

MSFT - The technical daily chart show a continuation of the uptrend with MACD and RSI in the Bullish areas. However, both stochastic and RSI indicator is reaching the top end which indicates that the stock may be reaching overbought condition soon. For the long term the stock should still continue to go up. Resistance : $26.59 Support : $25.56

Stock Picks and Trade Ideas for Friday - GPS, TOL, BBBY

BBBY - Buy on a close above $24.22 ( 50 day moving average ) with a stop-loss at $20 and a price target of $26. The overall outlook for the stock at this precise moment appears bullish. Only a close below $20 would negate the short-term bullish outlook for the stock.

Toll Brother shares made a strong upside reversal last week. The technical chart above suggests that stock might find now resistance at $21,38 ( 200 daily moving average ). Only a close above this level would suggest further upside. Remain invested with a stop loss at $18,12.

GPS - The stock is now set up nicely in a base for a potential breakout, so keep an eye on it for a possible breakout over $13.38 on a close basis. Technical chart shows bullish sign with K line on top of D line and MACD on top of signal line. A decisive break of the $13.38 level on heavy volume, and, we could be looking at GPS testing its resistance level at $14 and $15.71 respectively.
