Affymax, Inc. (NASDAQ:AFFY) has made a very strong vertical move over the last sessions. The short-term target is difficult to judge as the stock has made a major breakout on huge volume in the last two sessions. From a technical standpoint the chart shows very strong upward momentum as the stock is above the 200 day moving average with both 50 day and 200 day moving average going up. In addition RSI and MACD also show very bullish signs. However, the daily momentum indicator has reached extreme overbought levels and I think that a near-term correction is likely to happen. The positive view would be negated if the share price closes below 22.

Sirius XM Radio Inc (NASDAQ:SIRI) cleared resistance on heavy volume and looks ready to extend its gains. Technicals are bullish signaling sideways to higher prices in the near term. Only a close below 2.51 will reverse the current uptrend. From the technical chart MACD and RSI show bullish sign.

Alpha Natural Resources, Inc. (NYSE:ANR) is working on another possible buy point. Watching 7.50. 20sma crossed above 50sma recently on volume uptrend. Looks like more upside on the way.

Barnes & Noble, Inc. (NYSE:BKS) Rounding-bottom breakout on the daily charts. The daily relative strength index, MACD and Stochastics are in Positive zone & the stock closed above 200-day sma. Long-term investors can hold the stock with a stop at 12.69

I've alerted my readers about the potential upside movement in Novatel Wireless, Inc. (NASDAQ:NVTL) shares last week and yesterday to all my twitter followers at $3.40. The stock has come up to my expectations as it was among the top gainers of Nasdaq exchange during Friday’s session. It ended the day at $3.86 trading more than 800.000 shares, well above its average volume. If you are on board, there is nothing more to do but enjoy the ride.

Affymax, Inc. (NASDAQ:AFFY) - At some point I think AFFY will have a nice pop to the upside followed by a strong and sustained upward move. With this stock trading as high as $8 in July, I think today's current price of $5.11 represents a great opportunity for investors. This company has a free cash flow per share of $3.19 and no debt. From the technical analysis perspective, the outlook for AFFY is relatively bullish. The stochastic analysis is signaling a bullish outlook which can be further confirming in MACD and ADX charts. Lastly, the accumulation/distribution indicator shows the stock under strong accumulation. The buy point is still around $5.20 on strong volume.

I don't like to speculate but it's clear that something will happen soon on Yahoo! Inc. (NASDAQ:YHOO). The December series shows a huge amount of calls at the 19,20 and 21 strikes. It looks like people are really convinced that stock will breakout over $18 and $20 soon. An interesting story in today's The Wall Street Journal highlights that Google Inc. has talked to at least two private-equity firms about potentially helping them finance a deal to buy Yahoo Inc.'s core business. This company continues to attract huge name suitors, therefore  i'm still playing on the long side holding my long position and waiting for the possible deals. Let’s keep an eye on it.

Zions Bancorporation (NASDAQ:ZION) - In the daily chart above the stock is forming a possible Inverted Head and Shoulders Pattern. If the stock price  breaks out of the neckline, target level is around $21. My model is mixed with upside bias. For now lets wait for that break out to occur.


It is very clear that Rambus Inc. (NASDAQ:RMBS)  wants to move higher again, but too much caution right now. Once we get a couple of positive events, we will move rapidly. Rambus reacted to the $17 mark over the past week and has suffered a small correction as shown in the chart above. Short term support for the stock is in the 15.96 to 15.62 region. There should be room for another leg upward once the stock digests this small correction.

Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Inc.(NASDAQ:GMCR) - If its support of $64.14 is broken on a close basis then the chances of stock touching the level of $40 becomes high. The internal indicators ( KD, MACD and RSI ) are moving down and in the world of technical analysis, that is not good. Buy only when the stock reverses from the support.

Tellabs, Inc. (NASDAQ:TLAB) - Share price has been moving in a range since June. A break above $4.65 on a close basis could set a temporary rally to $5.24. At this stage, the stock can go either way, however the volume is picking up which is a good signal, probably a signal of accumulation. Intermediate trend remains neutral. Stop loss for short-term investors can be at $4.01.

Trina Solar Limited (NYSE:TSL) - Looking at the technical chart there are several indications I see which suggest a near-term bottom, including large positive divergences on MACD in daily. If the potential buy signal confirms itself, we will be looking for a move to the resistance area at $7.8-8.6, at the very least. Until that happens, traders will want to be on high-alert to the possibility of a bullish reversal. Keep TSL on your screen for Thursday’s trading session.

Banner Corporation (NASDAQ:BANR) is trading up after hours, as the company released good earnings. The company reported net income of $6.0 million in the third quarter ended September 30, 2011, compared to net income of $2.2 million in the immediately preceding quarter and a net loss of $42.7 million in the third quarter a year ago. In the first nine months of the year, Banner reported net income of $387,000 compared to a net loss of $49.2 million in the first nine months of 2010. I expect BANR to gap open on Thursday, possibly gapping above the major resistance level at $15.11. From a technical standpoint, the stock is very strong. Now that the stock is on an uptrend with MACD above the signal line, any pull back would mean great buying opportunity. BANR should be a hot stock on Thursday so watch it closely throughout the day.

Banner Corporation  (NASDAQ:BANR) broke resistance on Tuesday, as the stock closed up $.88 or 6.8% on the day. This should be the first of a bigger move, which could occur on Wednesday. I had mentioned in my previous article (published on October 13th ), it seemed that the money was flowing into the stock as indicated in the technical indicator OBV. The technical chart is now painting a bullish picture. We can expect now some resistance at $15.52 level followed by $16.46 level. Folks, BANR was mentioned on my twitter today.

I mentioned Affymax, Inc. (NASDAQ:AFFY) as a stock I'm watching this morning on twitter, and promised I would follow up with a chart. AFFY is a very bullish looking chart to me, and could be ready to move soon. The stock has been building a base for the last 3 months. It broke out of that base early this month and has been trading in a bull flag for the past couple of days. This is about the average time the stock takes for a bull flag to develop, so I expect it to move soon. Also notice that the accumulation/distribution is showing some strength in this movement, which is also a strong  bullish sign. The weekly chart also looks pretty decent and AFFY could be a strong option as a long setup if the markets can stabilize and push higher. Stay tuned !!!

Nice day for Affymax, Inc. (NASDAQ:AFFY) everyone !! So, I first alerted on this one, yesterday night and this morning on Twitter I said the stock was on my watch radar. Today it hit a high of $8.50 for a possible gain on 20% and ended the day at $7.99 so readers who bought in on my initial alert are still up 15% !!  This was an amazing run for those who jumped in at that time. Hope everyone is having fun and making some money. Now the momentum on AFFY is building up again and another run is on the horizon. New fresh exposures on AFFY should be made only when the stock move above $8.50.

Another stock mentioned earlier this week on AC Investor Blog was KB Home (NYSE:KBH) as a possible breakout candidate, and the stock did what it was supposed to do. The stock broke out of a consolidation yesterday and followed through nicely today with another $.92 gain, or 6.24%. The technical chart shows the stock is in a rally as %K line is rising on top of %D. Moreover MACD shows the stock is still in bull market as MACD and signal line are above 0. Initial resistance is at $15.54. Break above that area could trigger further bullish momentum towards $16.

DemandTec, Inc. (NASDAQ:DMAN) broke out and never stopped all day. There is a good chance the stock will continue to move up. If the stock can break through $12.51, we should see it move up to $13. Looking at the technical daily chart the investor sentiment in stock showed by RSI continues strong and MACD still going up. Technically speaking, the stock is painting a Bullish picture.

Popular, Inc. (NASDAQ:BPOP) - We can see that the recent increase in trading volume and rising OBV suggests buyers are accumulating stock. Traders are hoping for a breakout above $3.25 to signal that the bull market in stock is back. This morning, Goldman Sachs initiated coverage on shares with a "BUY" rating.

Shares of Cell Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ:CTIC) were on fire Friday. The stock will have major resistance between $0.42-0.425. Cell Therapeutics failed to close over the 200 day moving average now located at $0.425. A close over this level would be bullish and I'd look for CTIC to test the recent high of $0.493. I plan to buy the stock on a close over the 200 day moving average.

DryShips Inc. (NASDAQ:DRYS) had a great day but gave back a lot of it's gains all day. I will buy the stock the next time it breaks $5.51.

I continue to watch American International Group, Inc. (NYSE:AIG), because the volume is still large so it could potentially break out again at any moment.

Affymax, Inc. (NASDAQ:AFFY) has a lot of fundamental and technical factors suggesting it is ready to move to much higher levels. The stock opened flat at $6.61 but it exploded to the upside in the afternoon and closed at the high. The fact that the stock was up in a down market, confirms to us, that there are buyers in AFFY. The volume was also good. Looking at the technical chart, the stock broke out of a small consolidation range that was set between the $6.50 and the $6.9 level. I'll be watching the stock tomorrow for a continuation of this breakout. A possible test of last month high at $7.75 is very likely. The short term trend is still bullish with stock trading above 20 day and 50 day moving averages with MACD on top of signal line and %K line on top of %D line. Volume has been rising with prices and the on-balance volume is also moving higher. The stock has been experiencing strong support at this levels, thus representing confidence and an increased potential to experience an appreciation in market value. On the fundamentals side, the company is debt free and has $4.14 in cash per share. AFFY could be on the verge of making a strong move to the upside...so keep watching the stock.


Borders Group, Inc. (NYSE:BGP) is trading higher after hours, on reports that the company is in discussions with restructuring advisers about how to rework its debt-heavy balance sheet. I'm expecting it to gap up tomorrow morning.


Toll Brothers, Inc. (NYSE:TOL) broke out today above a major resistance point. Short-term technical indicators are improving and the MACD on the daily chart recently produced a new buy signal. If the stock can break today’s high of $20.95, we should see a strong follow through move. TOL will move very quickly, so keep a very close eye on the stock.

Affymax, Inc. (NASDAQ:AFFY) broke out a short term consolidation pattern accompanied by good volume, indicating some bullish behavior and we could possibly see some continued upside movement. The trend since last week was "buy on dips" and today's move just confirms this fact.

American Oriental Bioengineering, Inc. (NYSE:AOB) successfully broke the resistance at $2.35 confirming a reversal from the previous downward trend. From the technical chart KD line shows positive signals as %K line is rising on top over %D line, and RSI continue moving up. OBV is beginning to turn around which suggests the stock is no longer being sold off. Stock as a major resistance at $2.45. I suspect the stock may continue to appreciate over the coming weeks.

A123 Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:AONE) - Looking at the technical chart, we can see that the recent increase in trading volume and rising OBV suggests buyers are accumulating stock. Traders are hoping for a breakout above $10 to signal that the bull market in stock is back.

Looking at the technical chart of Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC), we have here a well defined uptrend line that has been tested when slow stochastics drops below 20. Each has been a strong buy signal for the stock. It looks like it may be starting to gain some momentum again and could be headed to test upside resistance at 21.50 or even the 22 level.

Sirius XM Radio Inc. (NASDAQ:SIRI) is looking bullish on charts. The stock is currently trading above its major moving averages and MACD is positive and above the signal line. Other technical indicators are also supporting the bulls. As long as the stock can remain above $1.42, I like the stock. Resistance remains at $1.69 and I would be a buyer on a break above that level.

The stock has several bullish indicators that have being slowly confirmed.  AFFY is currently trading above its 50-day MA of $5.89 and is sitting on a good support ( 20-dma) waiting for the bulls to get the lead. RSI is above its 50% level and MACD shows the positive divergence. Money Flow Index is also moving up. The stock has a 52-week range of $4.90-$26.20. The technical chart is simply telling me that this is a nice healthy pullback after a big run. The trend should resume back up in the very near future. Worth putting on the watchlist.

Rambus Inc. (NASDAQ:RMBS) is slowly recovering. The $20.05-20.10 area is a critical resistance region that can determine overall bias for the stock in short-term. Bulls are now attacking the 50-day moving average, a break above could trigger a rally towards 20.64 resistance and determine overall bias. Keep an eye on these levels !

I told you yesterday about A123 Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:AONE)  and today the stock hit a high of $9.94 breaking the downtrend line from August of this year and closing above the 200 day moving average. The next key resistance levels are now located at $10.40 and $11.12.

Red Hat, Inc. (NYSE:RHT), fell below the support level at $47.10. The stock had a bearish divergence which could be very bearish. The momentum is now bearish and as long as the stock is trading below the 47.10 level, a short position is preferred. The next support level on the daily chart is at $43.65.

Affymax, Inc. (NASDAQ:AFFY) continued trading above the major MAs. The stock surged 2.58%, closing the day at $6.75 with the overall trading volume of 500k shares for the day. The momentum continues to be bullish for AAFY, and as long as the stock is trading above $6.50 level, a long position is preferred. The ADX indicator is bullish and the Money Flow Index is showing an increase despite sideways trading which suggests the bulls have more power. Resistance stays at $6.90, which was last yesterday’s high. Once the stock breaks resistance, it should run to $7.50.

Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) failed to close below its 50 DMA which is a short term bullish sign. The stock is now in oversold territory with stochastic and relative strength oscillators providing good entry points.

On the daily chart, Universal Travel Group (NYSE:UTA) has been under strong accumulation. The movement of the stock this week is promising and the short-term up trend can continue to take the stock higher. The stock is now set up nicely in a base for a potential breakout. From a technical standpoint this chart tells you that the place to be in UTA is on the long side, with Stochastics and RSI indicators, both rising.

Shares of Banner Corporation (NASDAQ:BANR) soared 13.89% or 25 cents to $2.05 per share on rumors of a possible merger in the banking sector. The technical chart shows the stock is back to bull market as the stock is back above 50-day moving average while MACD is back above 0. In addition KD show buy signal as %K line still above %D line.

Shares of Cell Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ:CTIC) continue to trade below 38 cents. Resistance is located at $0.40 and if the stock breaks above this level, you could see a nice pop.

Good afternoon everyone! Looks like I'm going to start the day with a technical setup on Affymax, Inc. (NASDAQ:AFFY).

Looking at the technical chart above, we can see a few technical signals suggesting that a swing higher may be in the cards in the short term. I think today's pull back was a good buying opportunity. My first target is $7.55 and the second target is $8.58. Currently the short term chart is bullish and medium-term neutral. Money Flow Index is moving up again and the stock price is currently trading above the major moving averages, which is Bullish. In addition, the stock formed a bullish MACD Crossover signal. Honestly speaking it seems cheap at this level based on fundamentals, the company is debt free and has $4.14 in cash per share. Nevertheless, we have to follow the market direction and not force it. The bullish outlook would be negated on a close below $6.05.

Force Protection, Inc. (NASDAQ:FRPT)  broke out today above a major resistance point. Short-term technical indicators are improving and the MACD on the daily chart recently produced a new buy signal. If the stock can break today’s high of $5.73, we should see a strong follow through move. FRPT will move very quickly, so keep a very close eye on the stock.

Bank of America Corporation (NYSE:BAC) - The major resistance has been broken in this technical chart. The price can move up to $13.52-$13.90 in the short-term. The stock has been doing well recently as %K line is on top of %D line with MACD on top of signal line. Now that the stock is above this horizontal resistance line more buyers should be coming.

Sounds like Banner Corporation (NASDAQ:BANR) is gaining some momentum again. The stock has made a strong bounce off of the lows that were posted earlier in the month with high volume. The technical daily chart shows possible new rally as %K line is back above %D line, while the RSI is also gaining strength. If a proper breakout happens at $1.90 we can see a target of $2.29.
