Hot stocks to watch for Wednesday, Oct 13

I mentioned THQ Inc. (NASDAQ:THQI) before as a stock I was watching for an entry on. Today, the stock broke through its short term resistance level of $4.23 and looks ready to go higher. The stock was able to close positive in a weak market environment for the gaming sector, which is another reason to continue watching. The technical chart shows the stock is rising as %K line is on top over %D line showing buy signal. OBV is beginning to turn around which suggests the stock is no longer being sold off. All indicators are bullish and point to more upside. For now, expect a run up to next resistance area around $4.84. If the stock is able to cross it and sustain above it, then it might go to $5.04.

Atmel Corporation (NASDAQ:ATML) broke out to record highs. This breakout on normal volume did not convince me yet. At this point we may need to pull back and retest $8.25 to reset the overbought conditions and provide some room to develop a new trend up. Technicaly chart shows the stock is still in a very strong bull market with MACD on top of signal line and 50 -ay moving average on top of 200-day moving average. Stay tuned on it.

Shares of China Technology Development Group Corp. (NASDAQ:CTDC) soared 37.73% or 78 cents to $2.83 per share. The technical chart shows the stock is in a very strong bull market with stock trading above both 50-day and 200-day moving average. In addition, MACD breaking above signal line and %K line crossing on top over %D line all indiates strong buy signal.
Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) released better then expected numbers after Tuesday’s close, which should lead the technology sector higher on Wednesday. The short-term outlook for the stock is Bullish. At this point, optimum buy point is when price crosses the resistance line at $20. The short-term outlook for INTC is neutral to bullish ( all the trends in stock indicators are neutral or positive ).
