Stocks to keep an eye on February 4, 2015

Sprint Corp (NYSE:S) From a technical standpoint there are some signs of a possible bounce here due to the positive divergences (CMF, RSI and MACD) which often leads to short covering. If the stock can break through today’s high of $4.57, we should see a strong follow through move. Let’s see whether the stock can gather enough momentum to break through this level.

Sodastream International Ltd (NASDAQ:SODA) It looks like the stock is starting to turn back up and the technical indicators are giving the first bullish signs. I´m looking to see this stock re-test its December highs shortly. The MACD is increasing and the stock price has regained its position above the 20-day EMA. The nearest trend is in favour of Bulls and the stock has room to go higher. If it can break through $19.80, we should see strong volume drive the stock higher as the short percent of float is about 16% currently.

EnteroMedics Inc (NASDAQ:ETRM) saw continued buying pressure in today's session. I think current levels offer a great chance to play a rebound in shares. The stock closed at $1.20 above the 9 & 13 EMAs. The MACD is perking up and RSI just crossed its 45% level. I think the stock has room to go higher. Over 1.22, next stop 1.28 then the run to $1.32.

VirnetX Holding Corporation (NYSEMKT:VHC) made a strong upside reversal today. The technical daily chart is displaying a screaming buy divergence on the upside. Expect an initial run up to $6.16 with a break higher moving to the $7 zone.

Broadcom Corporation (NASDAQ:BRCM) just reconquered the 50-day EMA. The MACD fast line just crossed above the slow line giving the bulls the signal they wanted. The stock has momentum back on its side. If we break and close tomorrow above 42.75, we can run to 44 easily. Stay tuned.

Stocks to Watch for March 21, 2014

Oncolytics Biotech, Inc. (NASDAQ:ONCY) This technical chart above shows a possible rounding bottom formation with a potential rally back to resistance at $2.40 as the next swing for the stock. A move above the neckiline is required to trigger an upside breakout and another run. Stock price has been moving sideways in short term to build up momentum and the latest price rebound on strong volume, is another good indication that the stock is likely to test the previous high at 2.70 if the neckline of the rounding bottom at 1.92 is penetrated. Stay tuned !!

Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) finally broke out of the consolidation range that I've discussed recently. We can see in the chart above that the breakout was clean on strong volume, indicating that more upside is possible in this stock. The price can move up to $25.79-$26.21 in the short-term.

Broadcom Corporation (NASDAQ:BRCM) gained nicely today and made a new 6 month high at $31.47. The technical daily chart above shows the stock is on a bull market as it is trading above both 50-day and 200-day exp moving average and the 50-day exp moving average is on top of 200-day exp moving average heading upwards. Other indicator, such as MACD is above 0 showing positive momentum, while RSI also shows buy signal. Looks good for higher prices.

Lattice Semiconductor (NASDAQ:LSCC) is still trading around $8 which has been a strong resistance over the past several days. I plan to buy the stock if it can break this key resistance level. The trend is still up.

Western Digital Corp (NASDAQ:WDC) showed some strength today. The stock closed nicely above the major short-term EMA levels with solid volume. At this level, we should see the stock retest the next pivot point located at $89.79 followed by $90.44. The support level is adjusted to $85.18.

Stocks to Watch for February 10, 2014

Broadcom Corporation (NASDAQ:BRCM) If you are long, this technical chart looks great. The stock made a new six-month high of $30,69 on Friday and appears to be right back on track to move even higher. With the positive technical indicators in the chart above supporting the bullish view, the stock has excellent potential to trend higher and test my resistance areas of 31.12 and 31.85. Long setup.

NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA) With the break of the downward sloping trend line that has held since January, the stock looks set to continue its move to the upside and will probably retest the 52 week high over the next week. Additionally, the share price is helped by the RSI that has crossed the mid-line and a MACD that is moving towards a positive cross.

Gogo Inc (NASDAQ:GOGO) held support at the middle of the previous channel ( formation that has contained the stock price for over 8 weeks ) and turned back higher on Friday along with the RSI. The MACD is also about to cross positive supporting more upside. The near term resistance is yesterday’s high of 20.98, and then its 50-day EMA at $21.62.

Vical Incorporated (NASDAQ:VICL) could potentially bring a smile to investors after the recent pull back. The technical indicators are displaying good signs. Daily momentum oscillator RSI has turned up again and %K line has just crossed on top of %D line. With the positive indicators supporting my short-term bullish view, the stock has excellent potential to trend higher and test my resistance areas of 1.47 and 1.71 R1.

Yesterday’s sharp appreciation in Neurometrix Inc (NASDAQ:NURO) signaled a fundamental shift in the trend of the stock. With the positive indicators like MACD, ADX and RSI supporting my upward view, the stock has very good potential to trend higher and the $3 could be breached soon.

Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) broke out of a flag formation Friday on decent volume. A break of yesterday's high at 186.63 would see the stock to trade upward with next upside target at 194.50

Superconductor Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:SCON) had a strong technical rebound of the $2.24 level signaling that the selling was overdone. A small bullish divergence appeared on the RSI and ADX. I think it's now time to turn positive, both in the short and medium term.

Neptune Technologies & Bioressources-Ord (NASDAQ:NEPT) broke out of a flag pattern to the upside on expanding volume. Long positions can be considered with a stop loss of 3.03 on daily closing basis. Initial targets are 3.65 and 3.96. The MACD is rising and still in the positive zone. Long setup.

Broadcom Corporation (NASDAQ:BRCM) broke through resistance at $29.75 accompanied with high volume. The stock price hit a high of $30.25, which is now resistance for Thursday’s continuation move. If the stock can break through resistance, we should see another strong upside move. BRCM will move very quickly, so watch the stock closely.

Stock Watch List For Friday, May 4

Broadcom Corporation (NASDAQ:BRCM) broke its 50-day moving average last month. The moving average offered support, while the stock was trading above it and now offers resistance as the stock trades below it. The stock would have to close above 37 to retake this medium-term moving average and put the bulls back on track.

Rite Aid Corporation (NYSE:RAD) stock broke falling price channel resistance with a big surge. For now, expect an initial run up to the 50-day MA at 1.68.

XenoPort, Inc. (NASDAQ:XNPT) stock is building a base here with a "W" chart pattern which means it will go back up. Accum/Dist line is showing solid accumulation and MACD a positive divergence. As I mentioned on Twitter, I bought this stock today waiting for something BIG.

US Airways Group, Inc. (NYSE:LCC) recorded a new high in today's session. Short-term outlook for the stock is bullish. Buy the stock in dips with a stop-loss at $8.95. 4 Hot Stocks to Watch Thursday, October 28

Today was another AMAZING day for Plug Power Inc. (NASDAQ:PLUG) !  The stock finished the day up 9.78% on huge volume of over 835.000 shares traded and is already up more than 20% since my initial alert on twitter. Great volume and a 10% gain on the day makes the stock a clear and easy winner. Looking at the technical chart this looks to be just the beginning of PLUG's run and I’m extremely confident that the gains will continue. Right now, PLUG is testing long-term resistance $.51. Just reclaiming June highs could mean a 25% run for PLUG. The stock appears to be under accumulation again. The MACD momentum has turned positive and Stochastic are on a strong uptrend which when combined with the strengthening MACD could spell a strong move for the stock. PLUG is beginning to turn and I want you to be able to see as much of this move as possible.

Las Vegas Sands Corp. (NYSE:LVS)  is trading higher after hours, as the company released strong earnings. Tomorrow, I expect the stock to gap higher. There will be very heavy volume tomorrow, and there should be good opportunity for trades. The stock has been on one of the most amazing runs of this most recent bull market. Looking at the technical daily chart the investor sentiment showed by RSI continues strong. The stock still trading in a strong Bull Market with share price above 20 , 50 and 200-daily moving average. Keep a close eye on LVS for Thursday.

Broadcom Corporation (NASDAQ:BRCM) traded higher today, after the company released strong earnings late Wednesday. It gapped higher at the open and traded to the upside all day. BRCM hit a high of $41.61, which is resistance for the continuation move.  Keep an eye on BRCM again on Thursday.

The stock pulled back today, as most of the market traded lower. A123 Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:AONE) did close negative on the day, but I still think there is another upside move coming soon.  Resistance stays at $10.42,which was Tuesday's high. Keep watching the stock over the next few trading days.

AC Investor stock picks for Thursday May 13

One stock to watch tomorrow is FRPT. The technical chart is showing a double bottom. Look for a run higher from here. Trading at a PE of around 13 looks like a good bet at these levels. In addition K line has just crossed on top over D line showing strong buy signal as ROC is at oversold level. According to the recent balance sheet the company still has enough cash so this should be a relatively save risk.

The stock is starting to bounce back to the upside. BRCM has closed positive the past three days, but I feel there is a bigger move coming soon. I will buy the stock again once it breaks $34.37. The stock will move quickly, so watch it closely.

ROYL closed up 3.3% today to 2.19. The technical daily chart above shows possible new rally as %K line has just crossed on top of %D line. I'm putting ROYL back on the list again, because I think the stock is going to move soon. Resistance stays at $2.30, which was Friday’s high. Once the stock breaks through resistance, we should see strong volume as the stock will breakout and move higher. Keep watching the stock.

Stocks to watch next week - JDSU, BRCM, VRTX

JDS Uniphase shares tumble more than 6% on today session after the communications equipment company posted a fiscal second-quarter loss Thursday, hurt by large impairment charges and lower revenue. California-based JDS Uniphase's net loss for the second quarter was $705.3 million or $3.28 per share, compared to a net income of $21.2 million or $0.09 per share in the same quarter a year ago. Furthermore, JDS guided for fiscal third-quarter revenue of $275 million to $300 million, According to a Thomson Reuters analyst poll, Wall Street forecast revenue of $357.9 million. From a technical perspective, it appears the stock may be forming a Head and Shoulders Top pattern with the two Shoulders defined by points A and B. The left shoulder was established between 3.40 lows and 4.12 highs. The head was established between 4 lows and 5.30 highs. The right shoulder has developed between 4.13 highs and 3.43 lows. The all-important neckline is at 3.43. Any close below this level will trigger a sell-off, which is going to be very strong and we might see resumption of a strong bearish phase.

VRTX - Looking at technical daily chart the stock has just entered into a bull market as the stock is on top of 50 day and 200 day moving average and 50 day moving average has just crossed on top over 200 day moving average to form Golden Cross, a very positive sign. Other technical indicator such as MACD, is above 0 showing positive momentum while KD line also show buy signal as K line crossed on top of D line.

BRCM - Broadcom shares continue to channel down mid December and only a move past $18.30 would impart a positive trend. The major resistance is at this level, followed by $19.15. The support is at $16. Some indicators are improving but it needs to breakout above the $18.30 resistance to confirm the change in trend.

Stock Picks and Trade Ideas for the week ahead - JDSU, MRVL, BRCM, JPM, QCOM

QCOM - The trend would turn positive only a close above $32,23. Long positions may be considered on a daily close above this level, with a stop-loss at $29,35. Thechnically, the chart shows weak sign as the stock is below both 50 day and 200 day moving average. However KD shows possible rally as K line is nowon top over D line.

JPM is forming a rising wedge (bearish pattern) on daily chart with a likely target of around $36. It will be interesting to see if market touches $35 or perhaps even $36.89 in the coming days before a good fall. For now, the technical short-term indicators look favorable for the bulls, however be cautious on all up moves and keep a close eye on the wedge. The moment the wedge is broken, expect good correction.

BRCM is still holding support at $14 but at the same time has not bounce very strongly here. A break below this level will likely be bearish for stock, on the other hand a close above $15.05 on heavy volume will launch a rally to $15.69. The technical indicators show the stock is back to rally again as K line is above D line with MACD also back above signal line.

MRVL - The stock is sitting right on its 20 day moving average at $5.65. The technicals indicators, although basic, point to a move higher in the coming days. MACD above "0" with KD rising.

JDSU - The stock surged to its 20-day moving average resistance with a good volume on Friday. A break above $2.98 on a close basis would be quite bullish. From the technical chart both MACD and KD are showing some bullish sign as MACD is rising while KD is crossing up.

Stock Picks and Trade Ideas for Thursday - BRCM, LXK, CIEN,

CIEN - The technical chart of CIENA shows a symmetrical triangle price pattern which can act as a reversal as well as the continuation pattern, depending on the volume as well as the breakout that follows, up or down. The red downside trendline of lower highs and the green upside trendline of higher lows is converging to form a symmetrical triangle. A symmetrical triangle does not tell you where prices are headed but eventually they will breakout to the upside or to the downside. During the period of indecision, it's better to stay away from the stock.

LXK - The share price chart for Lexmark, shows a dead cross occurring at the start of this week. A dead cross is the point at which the 50-day moving average crosses under the 200-day moving average and signals the beginning of a bear market trend. With this in mind, any rally attempt must be considered a bear market corrective rally and not the start of a new bull market trend. The stock has a series of resistances at 26,74, 26,90 and 28. Nearest support is 24.57.

BRCM has been beaten down since August, but at this moment it seems pretty clear that buyers have been waiting in the 13.5-14 range. It looks like it is starting to turn back up and indicators are giving the first bullish signs. The stock has the following important levels. Resistance at $16 adn support at $13.92.

Stock Picks and Trade Ideas for Friday - VRSN, SBUX, BRCM

BRCM - The immediate support zone for the stock lies at the $19. A close below this level would push the stock to lower levels of $18.72-18.55. However, the break of $20 would send BRCM on another corrective rally, but we remain bearish below $21 a break is needed to challenge last weeks highs at $22.46. I just want also to point out that the daily MACD is diverging positively suggesting a recover is just ahead, with a rally to about $20 as the first target.

SBUX - Technically, there is no reason to take exposure in this stock as there is no evidence of the reversal of the ongoing downward move. For now, it would be better to stay away from this stock. The near-term outlook is bearish and the stock could drop to the $14.50-$14 range. Stop loss for long positions may be placed at $14.71. A close below $14.50 would impart weakness in the stock.

VRSN made a strong upside reversal last week. The technical chart above suggests that stock might find now resistance at $27.58 ( 20 daily moving average ). Only a close above this level would suggest further upside. Remain invested with a stop loss at $24.99.

Stock Picks and Trade Ideas for Thursday - BRCM, CSCO, RMBS, FSLR

FSLR has had a hard time with resistance here, but may be ready to move higher. The level which the stock may have trouble moving above, is today at $292.88. It would need to break above that level to run to $317. The technical chart shows the stock is rising as K line is on top over D line showing buy signal. However unless the stock can break above $292.88, don't expect too much going from the stock.

CSCO - On a technical basis the stock is still in a downtrend despite the pop in price on today's session. Resistance, the level at which a stock may have trouble moving above, is today at $21.33 (high so far today), then at $21.50 and then the upper limit of the current bearish channel which is today at $21.65. It would need to break above that level to change the bearish trend.

BRCM has consolidated around 25-29.50 for the last two months and a break above 29.75 on heavy volume would be bullish. The technical chart above shows positive sign as stock has been trading above 50 and 200 day moving averages. In addition with MACD above 0 and KD going up the stock is probably ready for a new rally. Stay tuned.

RMBS is starting to show signs of accumulation with upside days and low downside days. Looks like Rambus confirmed support here and may get a bounce.
