Trade Ideas for Friday - RMBS and FSLR BREAKOUT !!!

RMBS broke the bull flag consolidation pattern. It's time to be Bullish again on stock. The bull flag consolidation pattern that we are just coming out of is one of the most bullish patterns around. MACD and RSI returned to the Bullish area. If shares can break the $19.56 mark then bulls should be able to target a move to $21.59.

FSLR Breakout again !!!! Really Cool !!!!!! First Solar shares closed the day gaining more than 10% to a new historic mark for stock at $238.18, near the highs of the day at $239.39. FSLR has been on one of the most amazing runs of this most recent bull market. Looking at the daily chart the investor sentiment in FSLR stock showed by RSI continues strong and MACD still going up. Stock still trading in a strong Bull Market with share price above 20 dma, 50 dma and 200 daily moving average. Following this technical chart it's predictable that tomorrow FSLR will reach new highs again.

YHOO were up today more than 1.5% to $26.63. The technical daily chart above of YHOO, shows very bullish signal as 50 day moving average has just crossed on top over 200 day moving average forming the Golden Cross. With the bullish sign formed and MACD also back above 0 we should see the stock take off from now on, so be patience on YHOO because we can see soon a nice rally.

Trade Ideas for Thursday - ADCT, UNTD, CHT

ADCT has printed a bullish engulfing candlestick pattern in today session. May be this is the right time to see a more significant rebound. Share price is gathering momentum to the upside and the first objective is at $17. The Bullish Engulfing is one of the more clear-cut two day bullish reversal patterns. The formation reflects buyers overtaking selling strength, and often precedes a continued rally in price.

Chunghwa Telecom broke out of a bull flag today. Today's volume was what you want to see when a stock breaks resistance. The technical chart shows the rally is back again.

UNTD could go either way at this moment, it's really dificullt to predict next movement. The breakout of the bullish triangle to the upside has failed and stock has closed near the rising trendline. Keep an eye in the trend line mentioned in the chart, if stock break down this trend, you should be careful on the long side.

Stocks bouncing back

A lot of people still convinced that the Bear Market started, but honestly speaking I'm not yet convinced, even after Indices having broken some important supports, it's my opinion nothing more. I see this decline in share prices as an opportunity to buy cheap, I know that the recession is still well present in the minds of many investors, but clearly there is no fundamentals reasons yet to put this issue now on the market. Consumers still spending, market still creating jobs, GDP continues to grow modestly and taxes are in a declining phase, so it's a matter of time to start to see this market moving up again !!! Crisis in the mortgage market is serious but let's see what the market will tell in the weeks to come. I'm very Bullish at these levels, no one knows the future ahead, but it's clear that this could be a good moment to enter long. Good luck and keep your head fresh for a new movement.

Advanced Micro Devices "AMD " shares were down 1.1% today reactiing to some negatice comments from a broker, however stock made a nice run-up in the last minutes of the trading, with volume above daily average, suggesting that the sell-off maybe over. The technical chart shows this is still a weak stock as 50 day moving average is still below 200 day moving average. MACD which just dropped below 0 again recently indicating a bear signal as well. One positive signal is KD where K line just crossed on top over D line showing a rally is about to begin. Stay tuned on AMD.

Transocean "RIG" shares were up nearly 5% today to a new 52 week high at $137.59, breaking out an important resistance at $131. Stcok is now in a breakout mode and the chart suggests a strong confidence in stock, no resistances above and RSI has space to move up more.

Pre-open emini S&P 27 November


After a very nice bear trap printed last night prices rebounded consistently during the night gaining more than 20 points! A failure of the top retest has started a sharp reaction to the downside. Reference levels for today are yesterday's low (1408-1406) and the pivot low at 1420.

Trade Ideas for Tuesday - BIDU, JNPR, RIMM

RIMM could go either way, it's really dificullt to predict next movement on RIMM, but based on today volume, I'm going to favor an upside breakout of its 20 dma.

BIDU showed up on a momentum scan and it looks like it wants to push higher after all this consolidation. First target is $350.

Looks like JNPR is resuming its downtrend at this point. The momentum is bearish, however stock has a good support in the $30.00 area.

Trade Ideas for next week - AAPL, YHOO, RMBS, FSLR,ESRX,GOOG

GOOG - Sometimes in strong trends like this one, these long black candles (mentioned in the chart) are buying opportunities. Keep an eye on GOOG next week for a possible breakout over $677.

ESRX chart is very interesting, stock is testing the lower trendline. No damage during this week, so keep an eye in ESRX on Monday.

First Solar is probably one of the best acting stocks in the momentum. She's extended but no one seems to care. So, I'll be watching her carefully for any possible opportunities. It looks like we’ll see new highs coming.

RMBS could break the down-trend line next week (at around $19.52) if markets cooperate, and run into new highs. Stock has formed golden cross earlier in November. One positive signal is KD where K line just crossed on top over D line again showing that a possible rally is about to begin, however wait for a confirmation. The major support for stock is $18 mark.

It looks like something is going to give soon in YHOO, up or down. Golden cross is near to be formed, pay particular attention to this factor, because it's a very Bullish signal.

AAPL shares were up on Friday more than 1.8% to $171.54. Stock has found an interesting support on its 50 dma. It looks like a short-term bottom on AAPL, so let's see if stock will have strength to break its 20 dma resistance next week at $176.02, to be able to make new highs.

The intolerable price of Oil "There is no reason"

Since the start of the year that we’re seeing a dramatically increase in the price of crude Oil, due to many factors that no one can tell us exactly what are really behind this strange movement. The connection with the dollar is one of the most talked issue, but in my point of view there are something more, it’s intolerable this kind of movement, prices of gas are extremely high and no one cares about it , I don’t see governments worried about that, it’s something unthinkable years ago see the prices of barrel at $100. If this movement continues through the year of 2008, the global economy will surfer a dramatically slowdown and maybe a recession, not only in US but in overall economies too, where the consequences due to this fact no one knows, but I can tell you that I’m really worried about that. In a final note, I think this movement is based in pure speculation and no in based fundamentals of any problem of disruption, war or lack of Oil. New discoveries are done every year, like the latest from Petrobas, and more probably will appear, we still having big reserves of Oil for the years to come, so why are people still buying consistely contracts of Oil at this high prices? Based on the trend? Based on the speculation? Think about that and comment your vision here.

May be the bottom here !!!

The bottom has been finally found, in my honest opinion. Now, I suppose that we'll initiate a new uptrend to test the 200 dma as the first resistance for this new Bullish race. The volume of yesterday and today session surpassed the daily average, showing that the turning point is near and in my opinion here. I hope !! so, keep your eyes open !!!

AAPL has found an important support on its 50 dma. The stock has the opportunity to start new rally as K line is again back above D line, also RSI is now in a neutral zone. Keep an eye on AAPL.

Rambus sustain selling pressure in the final hour and close above the major support of $18. Only a close below this mark with volume, will change the trend.

Hello Folls !!! As you know, New York City is fantastic city, with extraordinary buildings, attractions, is where located the world's major centers of commerce and finance, it’s the place where the lights turn the night to day, a city with many sights, well, a city with many personalities. Recently I found extraordinary pictures of NYC in HDR format on flickr website, as you can see here on these pictures, NYC has another face. Trade Ideas for Wednesday - GOOG, AAPL, JASO, RMBS, BR

JASO - Looking at the chart stock has had a nice run over the past weeks. I'll be Bullish in this stock if breakout $60, so keep an eye on JASO.

Millau Viaduct



I would like to show these pictures, they are the example of amazing infrastructure that man can do. Millau Viaduct is located in Millau, south of France; the bridge crosses the River Tarn, this bridge it’s the longest with 1.6 miles cable-stayed bridge in the world and the tallest with 1,122 feet (342 meters). The construction took 3 years and it was aligned with the Global Positioning System (GPS). It was designed by an English architect named Norman Foster and a French bridge engineer Michel Virlogeux.

The bottom may be near........be patience...

It looks like First Solar will make new highs soon. Looking at the daily chart, stock is still in bull market as 50 day moving average is still above 200 day moving average so any pull back would mean buying opportunity. Keep an eye on FSLR.

Keep an eye on American Tower Corp. tomorrow for a possible breakout over $46.53.

RMBS may find support at $18. Looking at the daily chart, stock has been back to bull market since mid November as 50 day moving average has crossed on top over 200 day moving average. Although the stock would see profit taking for a while with RSI showing the stock has been overbought, once the profit taking is over the stock should continue to rise again. The stock has the opportunity to start new rally as K line is again back above D line.

Trades Ideas for next week - LVLT, BIDU, JASO, YHOO, RMBS

RAMBUS is presently one of the bullish stocks in the market. Shares of RAMBUS were up on Friday more than 4% to $19.30, in a day where mostly of semi-conductor stocks lost. Stock has been in a sold trend recently and has held up pretty well on its 200 dma. It is trading in a small bull pennant here and could breakout if the markets moves up. Indicators are indicating that the movement to explode is near. Daily chart shows positive sign as the stock has been above 50 day moving average since mid September and has formed golden cross earlier November. Golden cross is when 50 day MA cross on top over 200 MA and is a very bullish buy signal. Keep an ey on RMBS next week for a possible breakout over $19.50.

YHOO in action today !!! Stock failed to break down $24.74 and moved to top again, breaking out $26.12, one important mark of resistance, so I took a small position in this today and will add if it moves as I expect it to. My first target is now $30.

I mentioned LVLT before as a stock I was watching for an entry on. Stock has been in a very clear downtrend until some recent consolidation in the $3 area. There has been a decent increase in volume signaling of accumulation. Finally today stock run up significantly forcing some bears to cover their positions. Time to move up again. Resistance now at $3.29.

RFMD - Analysts at UBS maintain their "neutral" rating on RF Micro Devices, while reducing their estimates for the company. The target price has been reduced from $7.50 to $7.00.

SBUX - Analyst Dan Geiman of McAdams Wright Ragen reiterates his "buy" rating on Starbucks. The target price has been reduced from $40 to $34.

OPWV - Analysts at RBC Capital Markets maintain their "sector perform" rating on Openwave Systems Inc (OPWV.NAS). The target price has been reduced from $5.50 to $5.00.

MSCC - Analysts at Montgomery & Co maintain their "buy" rating on Microsemi Corporation. The target price has been reduced from $34 to $33.

New concept car now from Opel



Hello Investors, here is another concept car now from Opel. We have been seen numerous pictures of new concept cars in the web, and this time I would like to put here in my blog another great car concept sent to my by e-mail, the Opel Flextreme, it’s a plug in Electric car, a completely new environmentally car, it has an E-Flex electric propulsion system and only emits 40g/km of CO2. It was showed at the International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt, in September. The battery is Lithium Ion and the time to full charge it’s about 3 to 3.5 hours with 220 V line voltage. The Opel Flextreme has an interesting feature, the integration of two high-tech electric scooters packaged below the cargo floor.

Recession is on the table again and markets are worried

YHOO - Yahoo shares were up today more than 1.4% to 25.44, with 27 million shares changing hands. Although I was bullish on Yahoo earlier, if it falls out of this area on a closing basis it could make a decent short.

NTAP - Network Appliance shares were down today more than 1.5% to $26.20. Once again, stock failed to move up after earnings and close the day near the major support. So, tommorow keep an eye on NTAP for a possible break down of this support, or for a bounce.

Trade Ideas for Thursday - BRCM, YHOO, CIEN, RMBS

RMBS has been in a sold trend recently and has held up pretty well on its 200 dma. It is trading in a small bull pennant here and could breakout if the markets cooperate.

Ciena "CIEN" had a high volume breakout in October and then promptly decided to go nowhere. It has been trading sideways which has allowed the 50 day simple moving average to catch up to it. It has successfully bounce off this sma in the past so I am looking to see if that trend will continue.

YHOO - I closed my long position on Yahoo today, because I'm still seeing a big selling pressure on stock. Let's see if tomorrow support at $24.74 will sustain this pressure.

BRCM - Stock broke down so be careful if you're on the long side, next support it is only at $26.80.
