Hansen Medical shares spiked today on news that use of the Sensei system in procedures for atrial fibrillation and other abnormal heart rhythms reduced patients' exposure to harmful cancer causing radiation by 63 percent, and provided stable, precise catheter control with equivalent safety to non-robotic procedures. The stock broke out a major resistance line and I expect another strong move tomorrow. Today’s high was $2.65, which is resistance for the follow through move on Friday. If the stock does break resistance,expect to see another strong upside move. Looking at the technical chart there looks to be more room in this move, so watch the stock closely over the next few days.

HANS has made an awesome move today breaking out of a small ascending triangle pattern with volume backed confirmation. The technical daily chart above shows the stock is in a bull market rally as MACD is on top of signal line and %K line is on top of %D line. In addition, the medium term trend is also bullish as the stock is above 50-day and 200-day moving averages with both moving averages going up.

CIEN had a very strong day on Tuesday in a weak market. The stock surged over 7% on rumors that Nokia may be interested in a takeover. Ciena traded nearly 20 million shares, closing at $11.86, up from $11.02 on Monday, January 4th the prior day's close. I'm looking for the stock to continue its up move on Wednesday. Further rally could be seen to retest $12.50 medium term resistance. As long as the stock stay above 11.38 area, the bullish scenario is still intact. Technical chart shows bullish sign with K line on top of D line and MACD on top of signal line. Next targets for the stock are $12.50 and $12.886. Only a close below $10.76 reverses the current uptrend.

I am keeping HANS on the list because it has been consolidating the past trading sessions at lower volume, after breaking out last week. I am buying the stock again above Tuesday's high of $39.52. Watch this stock closely today.

NTRI was one of the best performances over last week on Nasdaq, gaining more than $5 in two days . Nutrisystem on Tuesday announced a better-than-expected first-quarter sales forecast and set a transition plan for its chief executive post. Company said it expects to post first-quarter revenue of $216 million and operating profit of $21 million to $24 million, ahead of Wall Street estimates. From a technical point of view, the company may be able to recover lost momentum after declining for the past 9 months. Since the highs of $74.09 in July, shares have fallen more than 70%. At this point, there is a high level of probability that we have seen the bottom, and stock may be ready to go higher from here. A long position now should be seen as the best idea for stock. The level of short interest, also might prompt in future more rallies like we saw on Tuesday. The fundamentals are improving, the international expansion plans are in place and the better-than-expected outlook showed signs that the company had room for growth. As you see, there are realistic reasons to believe that the worst may be behind us, and this could be a good time to back up on stock again. The recent decline should be seen as a healthy movement after the huge spike in share price that easily brought all indicators to overbought conditions. So, for the coming days I expect a continuation of the upward movement, to fill the gap around $23. With MACD above 0 and K line above D line, once the profit taking is over we should see the stock continue to go up strong.

Shares of Alcoa were up today more than 1% to 42.36$ with a high volume before the earnings report. At this moment stock is falling nearly 1% in the extended trading after reported that second-quarter profit slipped nearly 4 percent as outage costs at two smelters weighed down results. Looking at the daily chart stock is trading near of the highs of the year in a Bullish moment, so even with this reaction in after-hours I believe in a tecnical perspective and based in the chart above, that stock should continue this uptrend. Keep an eye on AA for a possible breakout above 42.90 or on the other hand for a breakdown below 39.48$ ( I don't believe in the second scenario ).

Shares of Hansen Natural were up 2.80% or 1.10 to 40.42$ after reported higher quarterly sales, citing continued strength of its Monster Energy drinks, and increases in volumes of teas, lemonades and juice cocktails, however sales fell short of analysts' average to $165.4 million. In the morning shares were down nearly 8%, however during the session shares rebounded closing in the green line. The technical chart show that stock breakout today an important resistance at 40$ with an anormal volume, 6 x daily average, it's seems to me that the way is Up for this baby again. RSI is in Bullish territory and Bullish MACD gained momentum again K line crossover D. Overall stock is in a Bullish Market with share price trading above 20,50 and 200 daily moving average. Next Resistance at 42.40$ and support at 40$.

Keep an eye on HOT this week for a possible breakout over 71.30$. Looks like an ascending triangle formation.

If this stock can break-out $39 with good volume and close near their hod sometime this week, we would probably swing at least part of the position. Keep HANS on your watch-lists.
