4 Trade Ideas for Friday

The technical chart of Morgan Stanley (NYSE:MS) is very similar to other stocks in the banking sector. The stock has been in a major corrective phase in the recent weeks. The downtrend that commenced in late february appears to have been completed at the latest low of $26.70. The next leg of the uptrend appears to be underway now. The momentum indicators on the daily chart of MS are also giving a buy signal and the share price could move to the short-term target of $28.20-$28.97. This view would be valid as long as the stock holds above $26.64. Have a stop-loss at this level for long positions.

Lululemon Athletica inc. (NASDAQ:LULU) - The recent spike in price has pushed the stock into a short-term overbought zone. The implication is that a short-term downward correction could materialise and a test of the support zone at $85-$85.28 appears likely.

The Technical chart of Cameco Corporation (NYSE:CCJ) is not displaying any signs of strength. It's best to invest in some other sector that has the momentum. There can however, be a short-term bounce to $31.28 or $32.18 levels.

Research In Motion Limited (NASDAQ:RIMM) - On daily chart, the near-term trend is bearish and the stock faces resistance at $57.90-$58.45. A close above this range is a pre-requisite for the reversal of the bearish trend. Stop-loss for long positions may be placed at $55.59.

Stock Picks for Thursday March 31

Boise Inc. (NYSE:BZ) could move to the target zone at $9.35-$9.60. The positive outlook would be valid as long as the stock holds above the stop-loss level at $8.90. On daily chart, the technical indicators are supporting the bulls. MACD is positive and above the signal line. The RSI is also moving up and above its 50 level. Shareholders may remain invested with a stop-loss at $8.90.

Dynegy Inc. (NYSE:DYN) enjoys a strong support at the 5.65-5.60 zone. A breach of this zone would have negative implications. The near-term trend appears bullish and would remain so, as long as the stock holds above $5.60.

The price movement in the last couple of days indicates that Sirius XM Radio Inc. (NASDAQ:SIRI) has formed a short-term bottom at $1.63. A move to the $1.77-$1.82 range appears likely, however the stock needs to take out the 50 day moving average first.

Stocks With Bullish Technical Setups

Lululemon Athletica inc. (NASDAQ:LULU) hit a new 52-week high today, trading as high as $89.25, before settling at a close of $89.17. I'll be watching the stock on Wednesday, looking for a follow through move. As long as the stock stay above $84.31, the bullish scenario still intact. Technical chart shows very strong bullish sign. First of all the stock is trading above both 50-day and 200-day moving average with both moving average pointing upwards. Then the MACD indicator is rising above "0" also indicating a buy. In addition, KD line still show the stock is on the positive swing.

The share price movement in the recent weeks suggests that Banner Corporation (NASDAQ:BANR) is in a consolidation phase. We can see a fresh wave of uptrend if the stock manages to close above the levels of $2.53. Short Term traders can buy the stock above this level with a stoploss of $2.33 targets of 2.64-2.75. Medium term traders can buy the stock on close above $2.53 with targets of 3-3.12.

Yingli Green Energy Holding Com (NYSE:YGE) is in a continues short-term uptrend. Short Term Traders can buy above $13.11 with stoploss of $12.5 and targets of 13.50-13.76. On the daily chart, the technical indicators show a continuation of the trend with MACD and RSI in the Bullish areas.

Shares of Harmony Gold Mining Co. Ltd. (HMY) closed the day gaining more than 3.52% to a new historic mark for stock at $14.72, near the highs of the day at $14.75. The stock has been on one of the most amazing runs of this month. On the daily chart, the stock is in a strong positive trend after it broke out from the key resistance level of $14.68 supported by trading above 20-day and 50-day EMA. At the present level the stock is incredibly extended. I'm bullish on HMY, but in situations like this, I prefer to wait for a pull back rather than chase the market. Stay tuned !!!

Trade Ideas for Tuesday, March 29

Tellabs, Inc. (NASDAQ:TLAB) starts showing ‘buy' signals again.The stock closed above its 20-day moving average for the first time since January, which is a very bullish sign. Although the stock didn't perform well this year, we start to see now some signals of rebound as the technical chart shows positive momentum is back. I'd look to the $5.25 level moving as the next buy point. If it passes that, then we have room to run to next resistance at $5.81. Let’s keep an eye on TLAB.

Lululemon Athletica inc. (NASDAQ:LULU) has made a new 52-week high of $86, after gaining 8.43% in today's trading. The 52-week range for LULU is $31.08-$86. Looking at the technical chart the stock is trading above all of three major moving averages. Plus, the MACD is positive and rising. The short-term uptrend is intact and signals further bullishness on this stock. For those who did not have a chance to buy the stock, any pull back is your buying opportunity.

JA Solar Holdings Co., Ltd. (NASDAQ:JASO) breaks above the key resistance zone at $6.76, signifying that a new short term uptrend is in place. Further rise is expected to $7.21 zone. Indicators are also showing signs of recovery. Near term support is now located at $6.77, as long as this level holds, I'd expect the uptrend to continue. Long-term investors may hold with a stop at $6.32. Let's keep an eye on her as i think momentum will pick up.

Canadian Solar Inc. (NASDAQ:CSIQ) is approaching again the $12 level, which typically acts as resistance, so keep an eye on her for a possible breakout. Beyond that, the above technical chart shows a bullish MACD crossover and stochastics which indicate we have some more room to the upside.

Stock Trade Ideas for the Week of March 28

SINA Corporation (NASDAQ:SINA) has broken out to all time highs again. The volume on Friday’s break was decent, not great, so a sell-stop below $99.30 is probably a good idea. Anyway, SINA is now seeing blue skies as there is no resistance overhead. The technical chart is showing tremenous strength with KD rising and MACD above 0. In addition, both 50 day and 200 day are both rising showing the stock would be in bull market for a while. Only a close below $94.17 would warrant a change in sentiment.

DryShips Inc. (NASDAQ:DRYS) - Share price is gathering momentum to the upside and the first objective is at $5.17. Additionally, the chart shows a MACD crossover, a bullish sign. Long-term investors may hold with a stop at $4.48.

The PMI Group, Inc. (NYSE:PMI) has printed a bullish engulfing candlestick pattern on Friday. May be this is the right time to see a more significant rebound. The Bullish Engulfing is one of the more clear-cut two day bullish reversal patterns. The formation reflects buyers overtaking selling strength, and often precedes a continued rally in price. The technical daily chart is showing some bullish bias. Daily MACD has turned positive and KD line is indicating upward swing. If the surge can continue as the KD indicates, MACD may be pushed to above 0, indicating a buy. Keep PMI on your radar.

Baidu.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:BIDU) looks strong enough to move forward. As expected, the stock broke up through the resistance at $131.90 last week accompanied by huge volume transacted. At this stage, further rally is still possible. The breakout signals a continuation of the prior advance. Even though I find the breakout bullish, I also find the stock a bit overextended. As long as $131.90 holds, this breakout is in great shape. The stock has the potential for a strong follow through, so watch it closely next week.

Banner Corporation (NASDAQ:BANR) has been under accumulation for a couple days now. The volume on accumulation days consistently exceeded the volume on distribution days. That's a bullish sign. Note, too, that the daily on-balance volume shows a pattern of higher highs and higher lows.From a technical standpoint, the daily chart looks Bullish with both 20, 50 and 200 daily moving averages going up and MACD on top of 0, RSI is also moving up and above its 50% level. The big movement in the past few weeks tells me to be patient. I'd stay long and keep a stop just below $2.33. Keep BANR in your watchlist.

Hot Stocks for Friday

Harmony Gold Mining Co. (NYSE:HMY) had a very good bullish rally this week accompanied with large volume. A gap was formed also with good volume. The stock is now near the red line as RSI approaches the 90 level. It may still move up some cents but I expect a correction any time as I have observed that a lot of indicators have already reached overbought level. Right now it is way too risky for a long position.

Parker Drilling Company (NYSE:PKD) has rallied from below $4 to above $5.75 in just two months, a gain of over 40%. The technical chart shows very strong upward momentum as the stock is trading above the 50 day moving average with both 50 day and 200 day moving average going up. At this point I will be a buyer only once it breaks through Wednesday’s high of $5.85 for the continuation move. Stochastics and the RSI are overbought but remain bullish signaling.

GigaMedia Limited (NASDAQ:GIGM) closed at $1.30, up 15 cents points for the day, reconfirming the new uptrend after the recent break above the major resistance on expanding volume. The technical indicators are looking better for the stock. The technical chart shows a very bullish sign as the stock is back on top of 50 day moving average. For now, expect a run up to next resistance area around $1.50. If the stock is able to cross it and sustain above it, then it might go to $1.73 ( 200 EMA ). Support lies around $1.16.

DryShips Inc. (NASDAQ:DRYS) breaks above the key resistance zone at $4.72 ( MA 200 ), signifying that a new short term uptrend is in place. Further rise is expected to follow to retest $5.19 high. Near term support is now located at $4.62, as long as this level holds, I'd expect the uptrend to continue. Long-term investors may hold with a stop at $4.48.

Hot Stock Movers to watch on Thursday

Baidu.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:BIDU) is breaking out. The stock broke through the highs set in February and should continue to move. I'm a buyer of BIDU once it breaks through today’s high of $133.97 for the continuation move. The stock will move very quickly, so watch it closely on Thursday.

LSI Corporation (NYSE:LSI) broke through resistance at $6.82 accompanied with high volume. We should be able to see some decent upside movement for the bulls here. The stock has given more than 50% return in just 6 months and has much more potential in long run. All technical indicators are supporting the bulls. EMAs are moving up. RSI is moving up and above its 50% level. In addition, William %R and Stochastic are also in buy mode. This technical chart is clearly telling us that the place to be in LSI is on the long side, however you should be prepared for the possibility of a pullback to test the breakout line. Watch the stock closely on Thursday.

Caterpillar Inc. (NYSE:CAT) broke through resistance, but was not able to gather must momentum. Traders should continue to remain cautions here and pre-define a stop loss. The stock looks very bullish on charts. Caterpillar Inc. was consolidating between $97.5 and 105 for last 1 month and made a breakout of its previous high on very high volumes on Monday. CAT is currently trading above its 50 days and 200 days EMA. The other technical indicators are also supporting the bulls. MACD is positive and above the signal line. RSI is moving up and above its 50% level. Hold with a stop-loss at $100.02

Banner Corporation (NASDAQ:BANR) has been consolidating a pretty tight range above the 50-day moving averages. Volume is starting to build and it may make an attempt at breaking out. Let's keep an eye on her.

Hot Stock Movers to watch on Wednesday

Flotek Industries, Inc. (NYSE:FTK) broke out to a new all-time high today accompained by a strong volume suggesting higher levels. The stock has been on a remarkable run since November and it doesn’t looks like the trend will change soon. The technical chart still showing a bullish bias. KD line shows positive signs as %K line is rising on top over %D line and RSI continue moving up. The MACD has also formed an upside cross. I suspect the stock may continue to appreciate over the coming days.

Lorillard Inc. (NYSE:LO) - Technically, its major resistance was broken today with good volume. There is a chance the stock will consolidate tomorrow, but keep a close eye in case the stock makes it move. I'll buy the stock once it breaks through Tuesday’s high. At the present level, the stock is in overbought territory from a technical standpoint, however it does not mean the stock won't still go up, but a pull back is needed.

If the weakness continues and Ciena Corporation (NASDAQ:CIEN) breaks the support at $22.03, there will be a good chance that the stock will test the $20 support. However, as long as support holds a reversal is possible. Technically, there is nothing positive about the technical chart. All other indicators still point to a bear market.

When I first alerted everyone this morning on twitter about an unusual high volume on GNBT, I fully expected a solid run and an increase in share price, but what we got was much more than I could have even hoped for. Shares of Generex Biotechnology Corporation (OTC:GNBT) closed the day gaining more than two percentage points. The stock has been on a down trend since it reached 52 weeks high of $.5598 in September. Its technical chart show some bullish signals as KD is now going up and the stock breaks above the 20-day moving average. With this daily chart bull signal its very possible that we could see a continuation into tomorrow. But I urge you not to buy a significant portion of your trading capital, because this is a penny stock, so be careful with the position size.

Other stocks to watch :

Shares of Banner Corporation (NASDAQ:BANR) are starting to heat up again and are worth watching. If volume can pick up I think this stock can break through resistance at $2.56 and re-test its recent highs around $2.64.

Shares of Cell Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ:CTIC) were on fire Tuesday. The stock will have major resistance between $.49-$.512. A close over this level would be bullish and I'd look for CTIC to test the recent high of $.5548.

Shares of DryShips Inc. (NASDAQ:DRYS) were on fire in pre market Tuesday but then traded flat during the day. I will buy the stock the next time it breaks $4.72.

Achillion Pharmaceuticals, Inc.(Nasdaq:ACHN) - This stock is breaking out technically.

If OceanFreight Inc. (NASDAQ:OCNF) can break out above $.75 with heavy volume, I think the stock could shoot up to test $.96. There looks to be good upside potential, so watch the stock very closely on Wednesday.

Stock Market alerts for Tuesday Mar 22

Bank of America Corporation (NYSE:BAC) is trapped between the 50 day moving average and the 200 day moving average. I feel a big move one way or the other is coming. A close above the 50 day moving average at $14.31 would be bullish, a close below 200 day moving average at $13.52 would be bearish. Right now I'm watching from the sidelines.

Pfizer Inc. (NYSE:PFE) - Broke out and now pulling back to retest. The selling pressure wasn't much and the volume was light, which means the profit taking didn't seem to have much conviction. The stock needs to stay above key level $19.91 to keep the bullish scenario intact.

Caterpillar Inc. (NYSE:CAT) - Breaking out of 5 week consolidation. Note the sharp bounces off 50-day moving average. Today’s high of $107.68 is resistance for the next upside move. The technical daily chart shows the stock is still in bull market as both 50 day and 200 day moving average are going up with MACD still above 0.

Cell Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ:CTIC) is trying to consolidate in the $.40-$.45 range. Let it develops before jumping in. Look for tighter price range and contracting volume.
