Stock Watch List For Friday

China Natural Gas, Inc. (NASDAQ:CHNG) - China Natural Gas Chairman enters into exclusivity with private equity consortium for take-private transaction at proposed price of $4.25/share cash. The stock closed at a price of $3.82, a moderate change of 10% from its previous day's close. This stock has a short interest ratio of 4.5 based on average daily volume of 200,962 shares and 1.2 million shares short. I guess this deal will force these short traders to cover their positions, and we may see a short squeeze play out.

Newmont Mining Corporation (NYSE:NEM) has recovered nicely this week and can potentially set-up very well for a swing-trade if the stock breaks through the resistance level at $54.54. Technical indicators are becoming more favorable with MACD and Stochastics starting to turn up. There could be good upside in this trade, so watch NEM closely on Friday.

In line with my anticipation, NetApp Inc. (NASDAQ:NTAP) confirmed today the reversal when it broke up above the $51.50 level. The stock price is now riding on an upward movement. Technically, my model remains long, targeting $55.33. Immediate support is seen at $50 area. NTAP can be a good trading stock, so watch it closely on Friday.

FormFactor, Inc. (NASDAQ:FORM) setting up for higher prices, 200 day EMA is key to break thru. As I mentioned on Twitter, I keep holding my long position in FORM waiting for something BIG. Special points of interest on daily chart : The stock has formed a very crucial and strong support at $8.50 levels and is trading above that level. Money flow index is showing the bullish picture and MACD is showing a positive divergence.

Stock Watch List For Thursday

McDonald's Corporation (NYSE:MCD) recorded a new high in today's session. Short-term outlook for the stock is bullish. Buy the stock in dips with a stop-loss at $81.85. The technical daily chart looks Bullish with both 20, 50 and 200 daily moving averages going up and MACD on top of 0, RSI in a Bullish area too.

Allied Irish Banks, plc. (NYSE:AIB) - The stock closed up on high volume a sign that investors are buying into the stock. Although the moving averages of stock are showing weakness, as the stock is still trading below 50 and 200 dma, there is one technical indicator showing some strength, the stochastics. The stock has chance to start new rally, because %K line has just crossed on top over %D line and the RSI also reversed up. The stock at least can hit the 20 day moving average at $2.34 cents per share. Watch to see what it does here.

GT Solar International, Inc. (NASDAQ:SOLR) tagged a new high but closed poorly. Shareholders may remain invested with a stop- loss at $15.08.

Zagg Inc (NASDAQ:ZAGG) - In the last trading session, the stock broke through its 7-day moving average and closed down 51 cents at $13.75. The technical daily chart is showing a slightly bearish bias. A break below the support at 13.20 will open the way for a further move lower to 13.06 and potentially as far as the defended 12.58.

Stock Watch List For Wednesday

WellCare Health Plans, Inc. (NYSE:WCG) caught my eye today because the stock has a bullish posture without looking overbought and overextended. The stock has been consolidating the last several days and just broke out today on considerable volume. I'm suggesting small bullish positions now.

GT Solar International, Inc. (NASDAQ:SOLR) has been on my list a few times and it is back on for Wednesday. The stock made a new 52-week high on strong volume a sign that investors are buying into the stock. With the stock setting new highs, there is no overhead resistance to slow further moves to the upside. SOLR is worth watching on Wednesday, especially if the market shows strength.

Companhia de Bebidas das Americas (NYSE:ABV) may be close to breaking to new highs here. The stock has been consolidating the past few days and just recently started inching above most of the consolidation area. Volume is starting to pick up again and there could be a decent short squeeze if it clears the May high. Clearing $33.24 could be the beginning of a move to new highs.

FormFactor, Inc. (NASDAQ:FORM) closed back over the $9 mark and the volume was good. This is a good stock but needs more volume to sustain its new up move. This is far under-valued stock in semi-conductor field. This company has no debt and about $333.2 million of cash, so they have about $6.58 a share in cash. I love the risk/reward so long as it holds above the $8.50 area and expect to see another upside move very soon.

Volume was light today but the trading action was encouraging. Traders bought the dip several times near the $3.50 level. THQ Inc. (NASDAQ:THQI) may have found new support. It looks like it is starting to turn back up and technical indicators are giving the first bullish signs. The Stochastic Oscillator is registering a bullish signal as the %K has crossed above the %D and the RSI is rising slowly but hasn’t reached the 50% level. The stock has the following important levels. Resistance at $3.64 and support at $3.50.

Stock picks for Tuesday, June 27

Shares of Northern Oil & Gas, Inc. (AMEX:NOG), surged for the third straight day by adding 3.89% or 75 cents to $20.05 per share. Momentum indicators are slightly bullish now with RSI inching away above the middle level. The technical daily chart shows the stock was on a bouce back rally as %K line is rising on top of %D line. The strongest sign of a bullish momentum is the MACD indicator which has just started to increase. The On Balance Volume is also showing positive signs on the stock. Price is expected to at least rally the next resistance at $21 and even go higher to test the next resistance level at $23.10. The forecast is valid only if the price of NOG stays above $19.20.

Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. (NYSE:CMG) has been on fire the past few weeks, and looks ready to make another upside move. The stock broke out of a consolidation range as the stock closed up $8.21 on the day. Monday’s high was $302,72 which is resistance for Tuesday’s continuation move. As long as the stock stay above 260 area, the bullish scenario is still intact. Technical chart shows bullish sign with %K line on top of %D line and MACD on top of signal line.

Today was a big day for A123 Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:AONE). The stock failed to break down $4.76 and moved to top again, breaking out $5, one important mark of resistance, so I took a small position in this today and will add if it moves as I expect it to. My first target is now $5.51

I believe that shares of FormFactor, Inc. (NASDAQ:FORM) have room for a significant uptick beyond these levels. Technically speaking, FORM is setup to move higher and could break the $9 mark and its 20-day moving average this week, something that could attract more traders to jump in and push shares even higher. Price has now crossed the 13-day moving average to the upside, another buy signal and an indication that the stock may have finally reached its bottom. RSI is also moving up and likely to cross its 50% level soon. In addition, MACD has a bullish crossover. Let's keep an eye on it.

Technical setups for Next Week

Friday was perfect for Fortinet, Inc. (NASDAQ:FTNT) because it set a new all time high on big volume coming out of a consolidation. This is the perfect set-up for buying stocks. I'll be watching the stock next week, looking for a follow through move. As long as the stock stay above $24.85, the bullish scenario still intact. Technical chart shows very strong bullish sign. First of all the stock is trading above both 50-day and 200-day moving average with both moving average pointing upwards. Then the MACD indicator is rising above "0" also indicating a buy. In addition, KD line still show the stock is on the positive swing.

I mentioned a few times on twitter over the past days how TKLC was looking bullish to me and nothing has occurred on the chart to sway my initial thoughts, in fact, I initiated a long position in the stock this week, when it crossed its 50-day moving average. Looking at the chart, the stock has been in a short-term uptrend, making higher highs and higher lows and it has been steadily finding support on pullbacks. Result of increasing price turn shows that MFI is increasing again. MACD Histogram is confirming an up trend like the same. The resistance of up trend which will be considered next week is defined at $9.31. I keep my long position in it.

Shares of A123 Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:AONE) continue to trade below $5. If A123 Systems can close above the 20 day moving average and hold it, I feel the stock can start a new uptrend. Mixed signals are seen on the technical chart above. Stochastic analysis is signaling a neutral outlook with the K% and D% overlapping. However, MACD Histogram is flashing bullish outlook while RSI shows oversold readings.

Lululemon Athletica inc. (NASDAQ:LULU) should re-test the breakout trend line, giving us another opportunity to enter.

Friday Stock Watchlist: 5 Technical Setups to Watch

Good Morning, Traders. TEKELEC (NASDAQ:TKLC) looks ripe for an explosive move upwards. The stock had a bullish momentum on Thrusday, gaining more than 7% and closing near the highs of the session. Very strong. So, with the bulls pushing shares higher, I expect the stock to see a continuation of high volume and price appreciation in today's market. Technically Speaking, this stock is showing signs of an upcoming breakout. The stock has built a durable base at $7.70 and has begun to move strongly off that base and now the stock is under accumulation again. In addition, the MACD is also showing a new uptrend developing and looks like it could cross the zero line if this trend continues. That is crucial because a weak bearish signal then becomes a bullish signal. The stochastics back up the volume indicator as the oscillator has exited oversold status and is on a bullish trend. I believe the stock is gaining momentum and could keep running !! Watch the stock closely today.

I've mentioned THQ Inc. (NASDAQ:THQI) for the bulls out there. I stand by this position. The stock made a nice move on Thursday and looks ready to continue today. The Stochastic Oscillator is registering a bullish signal as the %K has crossed above the %D. The nearest trend is in favour of Bulls and THQI has room to go higher. If the stock can break through $3.54, we should see strong volume drive the stock higher. You need to watch the stock closely because it could break resistance soon.

Motorola Mobility Holdings Inc (NYSE:MMI) - It seems that all bad news has been fully priced into this stock. If support holds and sentiment improves towards the sector a bounce or move higher could be in the cards.

Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Inc.(NASDAQ:JAZZ) - As long as the stock holds above the $26.52 support level the intermediate-term picture should remain positive. JAZZ has made a transition from down trend to uptrend. The short-term trend is bullish and a move to the $34.50 appears likely.

Canadian Solar Inc. (NASDAQ:CSIQ) is now positive and a move to $12-12.5 appears likely. The positive outlook would be in force as long as the stock remains above the 50-day moving average (now 9.74). Remain invested with a stop-loss at $9.24. The technical daily chart show a continuation of the trend with MACD and RSI trending upwards.

Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ:NFLX) failed to hold the support of $252.22 signaling room for further weakness in the near term. Keep watching the stock for a major downmove if it breaks the next support at $247.29 on a close basis. With this recent fall, the daily relative strength index (RSI) of the stock has re-entered into the bearish zone. The short-term outlook for the stock is bearish.

Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Inc. (NASDAQ:GMCR) broke resistance with a high volume move on Wednesday. Increased volume at the break-out supports the bullish trend. Buy the stock in dips with stop loss at $79.57.

A123 Systems, Inc.(NASDAQ:AONE) is still holding support at $4.52 but at the same time has not bounce very strongly here. A break below this area will likely be bearish for stock, on the other hand a close above $5 on heavy volume will launch a rally. I like this stock for a short and longer term entry.

Technical setups for Wednesday, June 21

Dear Readers,

First of all, please accept my apologies for the missing update of the blog on Monday, but I was very sick.

Let's start the day looking at the technical chart of Tellabs, Inc. (NASDAQ:TLAB). The stock closed the day up 6.42% at $4.31 after hitting a session high of $4.34. I don’t think this stock will stay here for long. The technical chart is begging for an explosive move higher. I think the market makers have come to grips with the fact that TLAB will be at $5 some point in the near future. The technical indicators are looking better now for the stock. I went long at $4.19 as its quite possible we should see a short term move near $4.63/share. On the daily chart we can see that the stock has penetrated an important resistance line, which has been touched no fewer than four times since last month. The bias is now bullish in nearest term but remains neutral in medium term. With KD rising we could see possible rally coming for the stock. In addition, MACD has generated a buy signal. Let's keep an eye on TLAB as i think momentum will pick up.

TEKELEC (NASDAQ:TKLC) is displaying a short upside momentum, price broke out from the horizontal resistance mark around $8.25 per share on heavy volume. Expect an initial run up to $9.28. GT Solar International, Inc. (NASDAQ:SOLR) has a Bullish looking stock chart. The stock broke out today on pretty good volume. If this chart does what is supposed to do, it will be going higher in the days to come. At the moment, there is no reason to sell the stock. Hold with a stop-loss at $12.46.

THQ Inc. (NASDAQ:THQI) - In the short-term, I identify an opportunity for an upside recovery, which remains to be confirmed. We have not had a clear capitulation to stop the bearish trend in progress but the major support around $3.33 which we arrived a few days ago have held, it managed to stop the decline. Technical indicators are showing some signs of recovery. MACD is poised for a positive crossover while its RSI is slowly picking up.

Some technical setups for next week

Rambus Inc. (NASDAQ:RMBS) is currently trading below the 20d, 50d and 200d SMAs, and they are all sloping down. However, there are some bullish indicators as evidenced in the chart above. On the daily time-frame, the MACD-histogram is sloping up and the 7d EMA has just ticked up, indicating that the bears are losing momentum. The stochastic is also rising and approaching the equilibrium line. Daily RSI is sloping up and is near the equilibrium line as well. The stock is facing a key resistance at $14.57. I recommend a buy only when the stock breaches this resistance. A stop-loss should be placed at $13.18.

Biolase Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ:BLTI) looks good over $6.05 with volume. The short-term uptrend is intact and signals further bullishness on this stock.

In line with my anticipation, Motorola Mobility Holdings Inc (NYSE:MMI) gained on Friday accompanied with average volumes. The outlook remains positive for the stock as long as it rules above $24.19 ( 50d sma ). The stock finds an immediate support at $24.03 and resistance at $25.46. The daily chart shows that both the 20d sma and MACD-histogram are sloping upwards. This is a buy signal. Other supporting evidence to enter long is that the stochastic and RSI are moving upwards as well. I reiterate my buy recommendation.

The short-term outlook for Newell Rubbermaid Inc. (NYSE:NWL) is slightly bullish. Fresh long should be made only when the stock moves above $14.87. Be sure to use a stop loss at the recent low.

DryShips Inc. (NASDAQ:DRYS) - The daily chart shows that the daily MACD histogram and MACD line are rising. The 20d sma appears to be bottoming out. Daily stochastic and RSI are also rising. Hold your long position with stop loss at $3.83. Worth watching over $4.06.
