XenoPort, Inc. (NASDAQ:XNPT) has achieved a boost during Thursday’s market as traders witnessed the oversold position, driving shares up by more than 1%. I would like to see a break over todays high of 5.14 to indicate possible bounce is on deck. I feel that fundamentally, XNPT looks attractive at least for the short term. They have $103.14 million in cash and no debt. It is a speculative play, but at $5, there is not a lot of downside and potentially a solid bounce play. In the chart above, we can see that the last candle was a Doji. It means there is indecision in the market place. If the price breaks above the Doji, go long or hold your position.

Barnes & Noble, Inc. (NYSE:BKS) was a good call yesterday. Up +10%. The next resistance is only at $16.

A truly remarkable day for InterDigital, Inc. (NASDAQ:IDCC) shares. The stock surged 3.89 percent or $1.65 to $44.03 per share, spurring bullish options trading, amid renewed speculation the company is an acquisition target. This creates a bullish scenario for tomorrow, one in which the stock opens the day a few ticks higher and then continues its rally. InterDigital call options were also very active today, particularly the December calls, conveying the right to buy IDCC shares at a fixed $55 price.

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (NYSE:AMD) attempted to push higher but found good resistance at $5.71 psychological/key level, closing at 5.66. The stock has been in the process of consolidating here for an another big up move. AMD has weathered the recent pullback without too much chart damage. The short-term trend remains positive as long as the Advanced Micro Devices trades above 5.27, which is an important immediate support. Long positions may be considered on weakness, with a stop-loss at $5.27. Honestly speaking, the stock is one of my favourite stocks for 2012. Keep an eye on it !!!!
