Few trade ideas for Thursday

The price movement in the last couple of days indicates that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has formed a short-term bottom at $363. A move to the $390-$392 range appears likely, however the stock needs to take out the 20-day moving average first.

Oclaro, Inc. (NASDAQ:OCLR) performed well today, closing up 12%. Could this be the start of a rally ? If it's, the stock got off on the right foot today.

Today Pacific Biosciences of California (NASDAQ:PACB) surged over 14% on heavy volume, what looks like the start of a strong bounce. With the 50-day MA sitting close to $3.45 and the 200-day MA over $9, this stock has a lot of room to run on any rally. Looking closely at the chart the stock remains oversold.

OmniVision Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:OVTI) is a stock I brought to my twitter at $10.47 as a possible bounce play, it hit $10.84 today and looks poised for further gains. The stochastic shows signs of recovery from oversold territory. This stock should make for a nice trade the next few sessions. Stop loss must be placed at $10.15. Stay tuned .

Inhibitex, Inc. (NASDAQ:INHX) broke out today, after it has been consolidating the past few trading days. The stock moved up on heavy volume and should have a continuation move on Wednesday. If the stock can break through today's high of $13.94, I am a buyer of the stock.

Shares of Dex One Corporation (NYSE:DEXO) surged 52% to $1.57 per share. The technical chart above shows possibility of new rally as %K line is on top of %D line again with stock back above 50-day MA. In addition, the MACD is on top over signal line. If the stock can break through today's high of $1.82, I am a buyer of the stock.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is on the verge of really blowing up. I wouldn't be surprised to see the stock test $384.95 at some point over the next few days. The chart sure shows a possible reversal in trend coming. A breakout beyond $380 will take the price to $384. Hold the stock with a stop below its recent low at $363.32.

Halozyme Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ:HALO) broke out to new 52-week highs today. I'm expecting to see the stock continue this move on Wednesday. As long as the stock stay above $8.32 area, the bullish scenario is still intact. Technical chart shows bullish sign with %K line on top of %D line and MACD on top of signal line.

3 Solar Stocks To Watch

Trina Solar Limited (ADR) (NYSE:TSL) - I like that the stock finished strong on Monday and I expect to see a continuation move tomorrow. Resistance is $7.26, which reflects its 50-day MA. Once the stock breaks resistance, I expect to see the buyer push the stock higher. The technical indicators are reversing up and are advocating for a technical rebound.

LDK Solar Co., Ltd (ADR) (NYSE:LDK) faces resistance at the 3.43-3.46 range. A close above 3.46 would impart positive momentum. The stock is likely to move to the 4.32-4.50 range on the break past the resistance zone. I will watch the stock closely the next few days, watching for this move to occur. LDK will move quickly and could be too volatile for some traders. The technical indicators are still in favor of the short-term uptrend continuation.

Looking at the technical chart of First Solar, Inc. (NASDAQ:FSLR) , there are several indications I see which suggest a near-term bottom, including large positive divergences on MACD in daily. If the potential buy signal confirms itself we will be looking for a move to the resistance area at $50-51, at the very least. Until that happens, traders will want to be on high-alert to the possibility of a bullish reversal. Keep FSLR on your screen for Tuesday’s trading session.

Next week's Stock Picks

If you are already subscribed to my twitter and newsletter, then you know that I alerted my subscribers originally on Wednesday when Royale Energy, Inc. (NASDAQ:ROYL) was trading at $3.58, which means that I have enjoyed gains of roughly 30% as of the close of market on Friday. These gains are significant and represent substantial profit for not only my twitter followers and subscribers but also any other investors who took advantage of my alert early, before the market caught on. From a technical standpoint, the stock gapped up and broke out from a short term resistance line of $4.16. The increase in volume hopefully would bring the price up to its previous high of 7.90. In addition, MACD just crossed above signal alerting everyone in the market that ROYL has momentum back on its side. Trend change ! I'm using today’s high of $4.86 as resistance for Monday. A break above that area could trigger further bullish momentum towards $5. So, with the gaining momentum and focus turned towards ROYL, lets continue watching the action unfold in the coming week !

Yingli Green Energy Hold. Co. Ltd. (NYSE:YGE) failed to continue it’s bullish momentum on Friday. The stock attempted to push higher, topped at 3.91 before whipsawed to the downside, hit the bottomed at 3.72 and closed at 3.81. On daily chart we can see a healthy pull back to its 20-day MA indicating a consolidation phase after some bullish momentum. The bias is neutral in nearest term. A break above 4.20 on a close basis should be seen as a serious threat for the stock to test the highs of October. Immediate resistance is seen at 4/4.08 area. Initial support at 3.7 followed by 3.63.

Kinder Morgan Management, LLC (NYSE:KMR) had a strong move today, as the stock set new 52-week highs. The stock hit a high of $69.56, which is resistance for the follow through move. The medium term trend is bullish as the stock is above 50-day and 200-day moving averages with both moving averages going up. You should watch this stock closely on Monday.

Hottest stocks to keep an eye on

Royale Energy (NASDAQ:ROYL) gained more than 17 percent on Wednesday after the company announced that it has made two more natural gas discoveries in its core area. Looking at the technical chart the stock looks really bullish as it is trading above 20 day moving average and the 20-day MA crossed above 50-day MA recently. Two strong days in the stock have produced a breakout on the chart. The stock seems to have broken a bull pennant pattern on Wednesday, which could be labeled as bullish. It looks like it may be starting to gain some momentum again and should make a strong move soon. The recent low confirmed the $2.85 area as support and would be the level to watch for a short-term failure signal. A move above $4 could spark a nice short-squeeze. Once the stock breaks this resistance level, jump in and watch ROYL take off.

Shares of Yingli Green Energy Holdings Company (NYSE:YGE) surged more than 11 percent with strong volume, above the average. The buying interest was sparked by Wednesday's announcement of the company's third quarter financials. Yingli Green Energy reported a loss of $28.3 million, or 18 cents per share during the quarter. Adjusted for one time items the company earned a profit of 14 cents, well ahead of the 3 cents per share that analysts expected. Revenues were reported at $667.7 million, also beating the Street's estimates by $5.5 million. From a technical standpoint the chart shows the rally is back again as MACD fast line has just crossed on top over MACD slow line line and stock is back above 50 day moving average, a positive signal. There should be plenty of room for the stock to go up before hitting pressure around $4.90.

Trina Solar Limited (NYSE:TSL) showed buying strength all day on Wednesday. The stock is on the verge of breaking out and it could happen very soon. The volume dramatically increased as the stock ran to near its major resistance, showing me there are buyers watching the stock. The technical chart above shows this is just the beginning of the rally as %K line is just in the mid way after it crossed on top of %D line. Although, the stock is still weak as MACD is below "0" and the stock is below 50 day moving average, if the stock can go up a few more days it will be back to bull market.

5 stocks for Wednesday's trading

Good afternoon everyone! Looks like I'm going to start the day with a technical setup on BMTI. Check it !

Shares of BioMimetic Therapeutics (NASDAQ: BMTI) surged more than 4% on Tuesday after Collins Stewart initiates coverage on the stock with a buy recommendation for a price target of $7. From a technical perspective, the stock has been falling since the highs of October and seems to be forming a bullish wedge pattern, which means that there could be a rebound taking place soon. Its slow stochastic has also issued a buy signal, possibly suggesting that the bulls could embark on a stronger rebound. The key support is at $2.70 and as long as prices stay above this support, the odds would slightly favour the bulls. If prices take out the $3.10 resistance, then it could rebound strongly towards $3.24-3.30 with a strong chance of testing its October highs at $3.75.

Sounds like Trina Solar Limited (NYSE:TSL) is gaining some momentum again. The stock had a pretty good rebound on price accompanied with volume. The technical daily chart shows possible new rally as %K line is back above %D line, while the RSI is also gaining strength. The stock needs to break out above $7.44 to go higher.

Suntech Power Holdings Co., Ltd. (NYSE:STP) needs to take out its 20-day moving average at $2.64 to signal another leg up. I would buy on weakness.

Career Education Corp. (NASDAQ:CECO) - On today's session, we have seen huge volume at the bottom, which was probably buying activity. The technical indicator MACD is starting to look like it may cross soon, which indicates momentum is shifting towards the upside as well. Keep this on your watchlist.

I have been watching Royale Energy, Inc. (NASDAQ:ROYL) over the past few days, waiting for a possible upside move. The stock seems to have found a strong support at present levels. The technical indicators are improving significantly. The slow stochastic has moved above the 25% level and the RSI is near the 50% level. I'm a buyer of ROYL once it breaks $3.64 for a possible breakout move. ROYL could have good upside potential, so watch the stock closely.

Few trade ideas for Tuesday, Nov 22

From a technical standpoint, the chart of Sirius XM Radio Inc. (NASDAQ:SIRI) is now much improved after today’s action. The MACD has reversed again the course and stock is above all of its major moving averages. For nearly four months the stock has been trading in a tight range. If it clears resistance the move may be powerful.

Shares of Reynolds American, Inc. (NYSE:RAI) made a new 52 week high today closing at $40.55 on heavy volume. The stock hit a high of $40.80, which is now resistance for Tuesday’s continuation move. If the stock can break through resistance, we should see another strong upside move. RAI will move very quickly, so watch the stock closely on Tuesday.

Idenix Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ:IDIX) made a new 52 week high this morning, but the bulls could not sustain the breakout and price closed well off its high. However, the technical chart above still showing that the stock is in a bull market rally as MACD is on top of signal line. In addition, the medium term trend is also bullish as the stock is above 50-day and 200-day moving averages with both moving averages going up. Buy only when the stock breaches $8.05. Once the stock breaks this level we should see a strong upside move. The stock needs to stay above $7.10 to keep the short-term outlook positive. Keep the stock on your screen throughout the day on Tuesday.

Stocks to keep an eye on next week

Hansen Medical, Inc. (NASDAQ:HNSN) broke out today and I am looking for a continuation move on Monday. Heavy volume came in as HNSN broke through its resistance level of $2.32. From the technical chart it looks like the stock is ready for another rally as %K line is on top of %D line indicating buy signal. In addition, the stock is back above 13-day moving average again, another positive sign.

The stock had a nice move closing the day at $2.38. Canadian Solar Inc. (NASDAQ:CSIQ) seems to want to bounce from lows and the increased volume shows there were buyers in the stock. I'm looking to buy the stock above today’s high of $2.40 and we could see a nice quick pop above the $2.5 price level. Let's keep an eye on CSIQ as i think momentum will pick up.

After a solid breakout on rising volume MGIC Investment Corp. (NYSE:MTG) has pulled back to support near $2.73 and should set up for its next upside move. The stock might trade in a tight range in the next sessions, but I will continue to watch in case it makes a move. The resistance level stays at $3.35. Keep watching MTG next week.

If you paid attention to yesterday's alert via twitter and got into SCEI, congratulations. Now that you are aware of Sino Clean Energy Inc. (NASDAQ:SCEI), I suggest that you keep it on your radar. On Friday, the stock rose 6 cents to $1.53, putting its jump this week at 50%. The stock was able to maintain its bullish nearest term bias and now seems comfortable stays above $1.50 indicating potential further upside recovery testing the $1.75 area. A break above that area could trigger further bullish momentum testing $1.98 and $2.06 region.

Marvell Technology Group Ltd. (NASDAQ:MRVL) was up on Friday, after the company released good earnings. The stock was up 89 cents on 2x normal daily volume, as it hit a high of $14.90 and closed at $14.65. I will be watching MRVL on Monday for a follow through move, using Friday’s high as resistance. The bias is bullish in nearest term. There is a lot of upside room in this stock, so watch it closely.

Hot small caps with Bullish short trends

Sino Clean Energy Inc. (NASDAQ:SCEI) - Shares of the leading producer and distributor of coal-water slurry fuel in China surged 41% to $1.47 per share today after announced unaudited financial results for the third quarter of 2011. The technical chart displays a downtrend line broken to the upside on heavy volume. The stock is now back to positive trend again as it is now back above 50 day moving average after staying below the moving average for four months. The technical chart is also showing a bull market signal as %K line is still on top of %D line while MACD is near its signal line. SCEI could be heading for a new bull market rally.

Pacific Ethanol Inc (NASDAQ:PEIX) shares closed at $1.40 Monday, a gain of 0.72% percent with a volume of 28 million of shares. The stock has surged more than 500% in the past 5 weeks. On a technical basis Pacific Ethanol seems to be overextended. It has been overbought too quickly for most of the momentum to be sustainable. Based on the current RSI levels in the stock, the probability of the rally continuing next week is not high. Nonetheless, the stock can go higher even if is overextended. Although the recent move maybe needs a small correction before going higher. At this point, I recommend using this rally as an opportunity to raise cash, sit on the sidelines and wait for a good buying opportunity for the long term. I remain very sceptical of where the price will go in the next few days.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) - Good risk/reward set-up at these levels and holding the bottom of the rising channel nicely(so far). The Slow Stochastic shows a bullish cross, signaling that the next move may be in an upward direction.

Colfax Corporation (NYSE:CFX) broke out to all-time highs during today's session to $32.69 per share, however in the final hour stock retracted closing at $30.84. Overall inidicators are still in Bullishs areas. Let's see if tomorrow stock will confirm intraday breakout. Support at : $28.75 and Resistance at :$32.69.

Zions Bancorporation (NASDAQ:ZION) tried to move but the weak market held it back. The stock failed to close over the 50-day moving average now located at $17.06. A close over this level would be bullish and I'd look for ZION to test the $18.50 area. The Stochastic Oscillator is registering a bulish signal as the %K is now above the %D.

FormFactor, Inc. (NASDAQ:FORM) attempted to breakout today but didn't succeed. A breakout from this sideways zone will give an excellent opportunity for traders to pick up long positions. However, as long as the price still in this area, the bias remains neutral in short term. The only thing I don't like about FORM is its volatility, because volality means indecision by the investors. It does not mean the stock will not breakout very soon but I want tighter price movement and solid volume so we know we are flushing out the sellers. Honestly, I think shorts are trying to scare the small investor before the stock skyrockets. This could explode on any positive news due to the high short interest compared to float and the solid cash.

Stocks Watchlist For Wednesday, Nov 16

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (NYSE:AMD) is one of my top picks for 2012, I see some good reasons to keep this stock in my porfolio. From a technical standpoint AMD is still holding its 50-day MA, and has the potential to catch some strong bullish momentum if it reclaims the highs archived in October.

FormFactor, Inc. (NASDAQ:FORM) - Keep on watch list poised to clear back above 50-day MA. Technical indicators are supporting the bulls. MACD is rising and near the signal line. RSI is also moving up and just crossed its 50% level. In addition, +DI is now above the -DI, indicating that bullish traders are stronger.

InterDigital, Inc. (NASDAQ:IDCC) - The price movement in the last couple of days indicates that the stock has formed a short-term bottom at $41.52. A move to the $50-$52.60 range appears likely, however the stock needs to take out the 200-day MA first. The OBV is turning up giving another positive signal.

Novatel Wireless, Inc. (NASDAQ:NVTL) - The tight volume and the stock price action since early November tells us that NVTL is building a base from which it can really move. We can see a fresh wave of uptrend if the stock manages to close above the levels of $3.60. Short Term traders can buy the stock above this level with a stoploss of $3.25 targets of 4.25-4.42. Medium term traders can buy the stock on close above $3.60 with targets of 4.42-4.78.

Career Education Corp. (NASDAQ:CECO) - Looks like there were some nice buys coming in on Tuesday so we might have a nice bounce play here, there is little resistance until $8.54.
