Finally the crash week has ended!!! A week back no one imagined we would have a crash, something unforseen forced many investors into a crazy out of control state for some minutes, with stocks falling sharply with looses around the 30 to 60%. During some seconds the market was hit by massive orders to sell, that created massive panic, until now no one can explain exactly what happened. We will see how the markets react next week. It’s important to point out that the biggest world economies continue to grow at a faster pace than expected, however the Greek situation must be watched closely in order not to affect even more the Financial World.

The price movement on Rambus last week was marked by a high degree of volatility as chart shows. The near-term outlook would depend on the price movement in the next few sessions. A close above $23.15 would impart bullishness and would help the stock move to the Rs $23.94-$24.82 band. A drop below $21.50 would have negative implications that would push the stock down to the Rs $20.25-$20 range. The trend for RMBS is down in short-term and yesterday’s action doesn’t change that. A move above resistance ( $23.15 ) could signal a reversal of the trend while a move below support confirms the downtrend.

The violent reversal on NRG from key resistance 25.05/25.24 pushed the stock down to a retest of 23 support. However, on Friday this support was also broken. The inverse head and shoulders pattern did not play out as everyone was expecting, therefore the long term bias remains bearish. The weak outlook for stock would be negated on a close above 23.35. A close above this resistance level would warrant liquidation of short positions.

The stock raced up to $17 from about $7 in a little over 10 months. Too far, too fast. A reversal was expected on CLP but the recent declines do nothing to reverse the uptrend. Meanwhile, the stock continues to trade above its bullish trendline as shows the chart. Only a break of this support level will be a cause for concern.

THQI - The stock closed very close to their respective bullish trendline, a bounce is expected at this level but remember that the break of support would signal a more pronounced correction is underway.
