Stock Watchlist For Next Week

Shares of Arena Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ: ARNA) surged more than 7% to $1.38 per share on today's session after announced that lorcaserin will be featured in presentations at ECO 2011, the 18th European Congress on Obesity. This event will take place May 25-28, 2011, at the Istanbul Convention & Exhibition Centre Lutfi Kirdar in Istanbul, Turkey. Lorcaserin is an investigational drug candidate intended for weight management, including weight loss and maintenance of weight loss, in patients who are obese or patients who are overweight and have at least one weight-related co-morbid condition. From a technical standpoint, it looks likea stock that is poised to make a come back after dissappointing performance this year. First of all the six month chart shows the stock has formed a bottom around $1.21. Then the stock closed above its 50 dma for the first time since January with good volume. Although stock is still in bear market with MACD below 0, with %K line now back above %D line the stock has chance to start new rally. Keep a close eye on ARNA because it could be a strong play.

Golar LNG Limited (NASDAQ:GLNG) - Nice looking breakout with volume. Held 50 day sma and broke above recent consolidation. Looking for a move above $30.44 as an entry here on the long side. The technical daily chart above shows the momentum indicators have turned up and the RSI is on the rise.

Analog Devices, Inc. (NYSE:ADI) - Very impressive high volume breakout on Wednesday. The stock needs to hold this prior resistance are as support for ADI players not to get punished. Otherwise, best to let it base out a bit first before entering. Technically, the stock is in bull market rally as %K line is on top of %D line and MACD is above signal.

FormFactor, Inc. (NASDAQ:FORM) continues to drift lower but the stock should find support around its 200 day sma. I don't see any changes from Wednesday night comments. I love the risk/reward so long as it holds above the 200 day moving average. The technical daily chart shows major rally could be coming as the 50 day moving average has crossed on top over 200 day moving average and formed Golden Cross in March, a very bullish sign. In addition, Stochastics are oversold and beginning to turn up, which often leads to short covering. One weak signal is MACD which has dipped below 0. I keep the bullish bias on FORM.

Stock Market alerts for Friday Mar 18

Extremely bullish moves on Golar LNG Limited (NASDAQ:GLNG) are taking place over the last session’s. The stock hit a high of $24.09, which is now resistance for friday’s continuation move. If the stock can break through resistance, we should see another strong upside move. GLNG will move very quickly, so watch the stock closely on Friday.

Hologic, Inc. (NASDAQ:HOLX) closed at $21.75, an increase by 63 cents or 2.98%. During today's trading session, the stock recorded a new 52-week high at $21.88 with a trading volume of 3.38 million shares. The stock hit an intraday high of $21.88 and an intraday low of $21.41. This looks to be a good breakout, so watch the stock very closely over the next few trading sessions.

Akamai Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:AKAM) closed just above the 10-day moving average and MACD has generated a buy signal. The stock hit a high of $36.98 for the day, which is resistance for Friday’s follow through move. If the stock can break resistance, we should see a good upside move.

Motorola Mobility Holdings Inc (NYSE:MMI) traded higher on Thursday gaining nearly 6% after being upgraded to Neutral from Reduce at Nomura. I'm hoping that this could be the start of a rebound, which is why I will be watching the stock on Friday. If the stock can break through Thursday’s high of $25.18, we should see a strong continuation move. MMI is a fast moving stock, which means I will keep this stock on my trading screen throughout the day on Friday.

Keep an eye on Banner Corporation (NASDAQ:BANR) and monitor its volume, RSI, and MFI for any potential breakouts. If the stock can manage a breakout above its psychological resistance level at $2.59 on high volume, it would be a great buying opportunity, but only on a breakout. Over the past month, Banner Corporation saw its short interest decrease by 24%. This bank could be a takeover target according to some analysts. I like the stock as long as it remains above $2.18.

Other stocks to watch :

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) had a great day on Wednesday. $339.61 is the next resistance level.

Hemispherx BioPharma, Inc (AMEX:HEB) - I like the stock as long as it remains above $0.45.
