Stocks to keep an eye on April 10, 2015

Cirrus Logic, Inc. (NASDAQ:CRUS) is still holding up well and the price has a chance to move higher. Keep this one on your watch list, it could be setting up to break out of this flag.

VirnetX Holding Corporation (NYSEMKT:VHC) continues to trade within a large ascending channel with the lower and upper boundaries at 6.26 and 8.72 respectively. I still think this is a nice long setup. In the short-term there is a minor resistance around the $7 level. If it crosses that, we might see 8-8.30 in next week or so. The RSI continues to move up and the MACD indicator is also turning back up.

AK Steel Holding Corporation (NYSE:AKS) looks poised for a break to the upside IMHO. The price has been holding a tight range. Long over 4.65 for a target of 5 with stop loss of 4.26. Daily technical indicators are looking bullish. The MACD is above its signal line and both are moving up in positive territory. RSI and slow stochastic are both near their bullish zones. Long setup.

Lumber Liquidators Holdings Inc (NYSE:LL) is setting up nicely for a move higher. If it breaks the downtrend line with some good volume, we could see 37 quickly.

Pacific Ethanol Inc (NASDAQ:PEIX) is building a nice Bullish pattern under the 200-day EMA (located now at 11.66). Watch for a break through that price level to indicate that another push higher will occur. In the medium-term, the technical daily chart still shows bullish sign as the stock is trading above both 20-day and 50-day EMAs with MACD rising in Bullish territory.

Plug Power Inc (NASDAQ:PLUG) is in the process of bottoming and I expect a pop above $2.75 at some point in the coming sessions. From a technical standpoint, the MACD just crossed above signal and the RSI is showing some strength in this movement.

Ibio Inc (NYSEMKT:IBIO) jumped up by 32% today and closed at $1.05 share on strong money flow. This will be a stock to watch going forward.

Top Trade Ideas for Tuesday June 24th

Liquid Holdings Group Inc (NASDAQ:LIQD) has been showing a surge in interest during the last couple of trading days. The stock price has broken out of its symmetrical triangle to the upside on Monday closing at 1.74. The target projection of this pattern could easily push the stock price towards the next key resistance level of $2.The company has a very small Float (30M shrs) and moves very easily. The technical chart is screaming buy after consistent days of strong accumulation and up-trending. The rsi shows a lot of room to go. I won't be surprised if the stock reachs $2 today. The recent strong accumulation is a very bullish signal. Keep an eye on it.

Rambus Inc. (NASDAQ:RMBS) Still loving this company & setup, however the stock needs to work out the overbought condition caused by the recent rally. Buy point would be on the day it blows through $14.82 on heavy volume.

VirnetX Holding Corporation (NYSEMKT:VHC) has a very interesting technical daily chart and could have a bigger move soon. The resistance for this move is $17.62. Chart indicate's the 20-day EMA is it's new solid base support. Worth watching for a breakout.

Groupon Inc (NASDAQ:GRPN) was one of the winners on Monday, as the stock closed up 34 cents on the day with huge volumes, following an Outperform reiteration by Piper Jaffray with a price target of $16. The stock traced out a nice setup and the upside breakout has some power. I'm going to keep an eye on it and see how it reacts today. The short-term outlook is positive and a move to 7.24-7.38 appears likely.

I have been watching Gogo Inc (NASDAQ:GOGO) over the past few days, waiting for a possible upside move. The stock seems to have found a strong support at present levels and the technical indicators are improving significantly. Looks good over $20 with volume. The short-term uptrend is intact and signals further bullishness on this stock. Stop 17.82

UTi Worldwide Inc. (NASDAQ:UTIW) has recovered nicely and can potentially set-up very well for a swing-trade if the stock price breaks through the next key resistance level at $10.28. There could be good upside in this trade, so watch this stock closely today.

Zalicus Inc (NASDAQ:ZLCS) - In the past few days we have noticed that ZLCS has been on a consistent bullish uptick in market valuation. This technical set-up still showing us a tremendous opportunity to potentially acquire the stock while the momentum is on the upswing. More importantly, ZLCS past the important resistance level of the 200-day MA for the first time since July 2011, which provides investors with more than a greater opportunity to witness a rally in market valuation on shares. Today’s high was $1.19, which is resistance for the follow through move on Friday. If the stock does break resistance, expect to see another strong upside move.

Ciena Corporation (NASDAQ:CIEN) is currently above its 200-day moving average of $13.62 and should find resistance at its 50-day MA of $14.26. Short-term technical indicators are strong. If the stock can break today’s high of $14.28, we should see a strong follow through move. CIEN will move very quickly, so keep a very close eye on the stock.

It would need to break above that level to run to $19. The technical chart shows the stock is rising as %K line is on top over %D line showing buy signal.

Novatel Wireless, Inc. (NASDAQ:NVTL) has been trading in a range of $4.97-5.64 since May. Looking at the technical chart above it shows a new rally is about to begin as %K line has just crossed on top over %D line as the stock is again back above 50 day moving average. In addition, since ROC has began to rise from oversold level there is plenty of upside for the stock. Let's keep an eye on NVTL.

4 Hot Stock Movers to watch next week

InterDigital, Inc. (NASDAQ:IDCC) - The recent pull back created a great buying opportunity. IDCC closed again above the $50 mark and is registering a Bullish signal. The 50-day moving average is showing a positive gradient and is rising since the beginning of December. Let’s see whether the stock can gather enough momentum to break through $51.03. If the Bulls are able to push through this level, there will be another strong rally.

Cirrus Logic, Inc. (NASDAQ:CRUS) broke out to all time highs again. This is generally a hot buy from a technical perspective, however and at this point the stock is too extended for additional positions. The RSI indicator at the top of the chart is showing a high overbought reading. This doesn't mean that the price cannot go higher, but it is extended. A correction back to the $21-$22 level would not hurt the long term trend at all, in fact, it would shake out weak hands building a stronger base for a more sustainable assault higher. Right now it is way too risky for a long position.

Ciena Corporation (NASDAQ:CIEN) successfully broke the resistance at 25.77 confirming a reversal from the recent downward trend. The breakout also moved past the 10-day moving average. From the technical chart KD line shows positive signals as %K line is rising on top over %D line, and RSI continue moving up. OBV is beginning to turn around which suggests the stock is no longer being sold off. I suspect the stock may continue to appreciate over the coming weeks.

In line with my anticipation, Juniper Networks, Inc. (NYSE:JNPR) gained on Friday accompanied with average volumes. The stock confirmed today the reversal when it broke up above the $38.75 level. The stock looks strong enough to move forward.

Stock Picks for Wednesday July 07

After making a big move in February, SIRI has been in a consolidation mode. I feel the stock is going to make an upside move soon. Resistance is $1.13, which is the top of the consolidation range. This is a fast moving stock, so watch it closely but use your stops if it fails on the breakout.

I'm putting HEB back on the list for another week, because I think the stock is going to move soon. Resistance is $0.491. Once the stock breaks through this key resistance, we should see strong volume as the stock will breakout and move higher. Keep watching the stock.

Looking at the technical chart, the short term uptrend line still intact. As long as the stock trades above this short-term support, investors can hold it with stop-loss at $14.95. If the market can move positively tomorrow, we may see a little short term run. I would say to $17.56 at least.

HSP broke out today accompanied by volume and should continue this move tomorrow. The stock has a lot of upside and I'm a buyer once it breaks through Tuesday’s high of $58.35. As you saw today, HSP can move quickly, so watch the stock again tomorrow.
