My Watchlist for Monday, September 12

Chesapeake Energy Corporation (NYSE:CHK) price broke an important resistance level last week with an expansion of volume, which may now act as a support area. The Trajectories of momentum indicators on daiy charts suggest continuation of uptrend for the stock. If the stock price can break through the $7.81 level next week, we should see a strong follow-through move.

Melco Crown Entertainment Ltd (NASDAQ:MPEL) has been in a steep uptrend for the last two weeks and is now very near to break a key resistance level. Watch over 15.61

Liberty Media Corporation (NASDAQ:LMCK) jumped 3.84% Friday finishing the session near the highs of the day on high volume, suggesting buyers are stepping in. This move puts the stock in high probability of a breakout above key resistance in the 23 area.

Changyou (NASDAQ:CYOU) good relative strength compared to the sector on Friday. Look for a break and close above $26 to enter longs.

Biodel Inc (NASDAQ:BIOD) has been in a bullish consolidation over the last 2 months. The major resistance stays at 47c. Fresh long positions should be made only when the stock closes above this level with an up candle on volume. Long set-up on watch.

Stocks to Watch for March 17, 2014

GT Advanced Technologies Inc (NASDAQ:GTAT) If support in the range of 15.9 to 16.06 holds then the stock should target a retest 17.05 and then possibly 18. However, if it fails then deeper consolidations cannot be ruled out. Although price of the stock is in a clear strong uptrend, the momentum indicators in the chart above are showing signs of weakness. Both stochastic analysis and MACD charts are flashing a bearish outlook for short-term perspective. Traders with short-term perspective can hold the stock as long as it trades above its uptrending 13-day exponential moving average.

First Solar, Inc. (NASDAQ:FSLR) is basing between its major exp moving averages and another trip to the recent highs can not be ruled out. I believe the analyst meeting on Wednesday could be a positive catalyst for First Solar shares.

Neuralstem, Inc. (NYSEMKT:CUR) The stock price finally broke out of the upper line of the triangle pattern, on impressive increasing volume and closed above the line. All indicators are in favor of an upward price movement.

Biodel Inc (NASDAQ:BIOD) is basing here for another move up IMHO. If next week support holds at or above 3.07 (200EMA) then the stock should move further upwards to retest 3.71 and then possibly towards 4.12. My immediate outlook stays bullish. The technical daily chart above shows it's about the time to buy the stock, as 50EMA is about to cross on top over 200EMA to form Golden Cross, a very bullish signal.

Alphatec Holdings Inc (NASDAQ:ATEC) After being trading in a bearish tone for some time the stock appears to making a comeback in favor of the bulls. ATEC has already started its bounce back up and looks poised to break resistance at $1.48. d I think the stock could see $1.75 or better in short-term. This stock is held by major institutions including Paradigm Capital Management, Blackrock, etc.

Nuance Communications Inc. (NASDAQ:NUAN) has finally closed above its 100-day exponential moving average currently placed around levels of $15.73 and it did so on heavy volume. The MACD indicator has just started to increase and the On Balance Volume is also showing positive signs on the stock. Stock price is expected to at least rally the next resistance at $16.88 and even go higher to test the next resistance level at $17.52.

Sigma-Aldrich Corporation (NASDAQ:SIAL) shares may be in a consolidation phase following a nice up-trend. Keep an eye for a possible breakout over $96.63.

Biodel Inc (NASDAQ:BIOD) hit new highs of $5.20 today, which is resistance for the follow through move on Friday. If the stock can break through highs, we should see another high volume move as the stock moves higher.

Nike Inc (NYSE:NKE) broke out to a new all-time high accompained by a strong volume suggesting higher levels. The technical daily chart still showing a bullish bias. KD line shows positive signs as %K line is rising on top over %D line and RSI continue moving up. I suspect the stock may continue to appreciate over the coming days.

Renren Inc (NYSE:RENN) Big rally on volume today, next buy area when clears the $4.02 level on volume.

The AES Corporation (NYSE:AES) coube be gaining momentum to break to the upside. The technical indicator RSI is giving a bullish signal that needs confirmation with a break through the 12.86 level.

Hot Stock Movers to watch on Friday, January 14

Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) climbs in after-hours after the company released better then expected numbers after Thursday’s close. The company reported fourth quarter net income of $3.4 billion, up 48% from the same period a year ago, with earnings of 59 cents a share. Intel said 2010 was by far its most profitable year with net income of $11.7 bn, record revenues and gross margins reaching a record 67.5% in the fourth quarter.“ 2010 was the best year in Intel’s history. We believe that 2011 will be even better,” said Paul Otellini, chief executive. Following the investors reaction in the extended trading,we should see a gap up tomorrow morning. It will be important an interesting also, see if stock will have legs to close above $22, because it has been a key resistance for Bulls.

Shares of Biodel Inc (NASDAQ:BIOD) surged 27.55% to $2.50 per share on an analyst’s note expressing optimism about the company’s insulin product. The technical daily chart shows the buyers are back. The stock is back on top over 50 day moving average again and MACD is showing positive momentum, while KD line also show buy signal as %K line is on top of %D line. It could eventually move up even more to fill the previous gap.

EMC Corporation (NYSE:EMC) broke out $23.87 to new 52 week high with a huge volume above daily average. In addition chart is showing a very bullish sign with 50 day and 200 day moving averages moving up. MACD is also on top of 0, and %K line on top of %D line, so as you can see there are a several indicators showing the stock is on the course to go higher.

Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ:ERTS) seems to have taken good support at $16 and may bounce from here.
