Momentum stocks to watch tomorrow

Apple Inc.(NASDAQ:AAPL) - The stock embarked on another leg of the strong bull rally that took it to a new high of $458.24 today on rising volumes. All three EMA's are rising and the stock is well above the 3 moving averages. At this point, the technical indicators are supporting the bullishness. The MACD is moving up in the positive zone and is above the signal line, however the slow stochastic has moved up into the overbought zone. A break above $459 could trigger further upside momentum testing $475.

Shares of Zagg Inc (NASDAQ:ZAGG) today broke out of a bullish consolidation pattern that has been a pause in its steep, more than 20% up move in January. A break of 10.12 should lead to a target zone of 11-11.58.

Sky mobi Ltd (NASDAQ:MOBI) - The stock pulled back on low volume today, holding support at the 50-day MA (3.60). Could move again soon. The bullish scenario in short-term still intact so we must see this bearish momentum just as a correctional movement. My model remains mixed with upside bias. MOBI can be a great trading stock, but you have to watch it closely.

Shares of United States Steel Corporation (NYSE:X)  were on fire today after the company released its financial report. At this level, we should see the stock might retest its 200-day MA resistance level located at $33.28. The support level is adjusted to $28.4.

BMC Software, Inc.(NASDAQ:BMC) - Broke out today on decent volume.  Look for follow through tomorrow.

SmallCap Stocks to Keep an Eye on Tomorrow

A123 Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:AONE) is making a possible bullish inverted head and shoulder pattern. If the stock price breaks out of the neckline, target level is around $3.5. RSI Indicator still in Bullish territory and MACD above 0. CMF is also moving up always a very good. My model is mixed with upside bias. Look for it to break the trendline soon and make a nice move.

Sky mobi Ltd (NASDAQ:MOBI) has just started moving higher and established a short term up-trend. Momentum indicators are slightly bullish now with RSI inching away above the middle level. The strongest sign of a bullish momentum is the MACD indicator which is currently above the "0" line. Watching for $4.19 breakout. This momentum could push this stock much higher from here, so keep the stock on your radar for Tuesday’s trading day, as there is good upside potential in this move.

We are on the verge of a possible breakout in the shares of ReneSola Ltd. (NYSE:SOL) A move oabove $2.65 could spark a nice short-squeeze. The technical chart above shows very bullish sign as the stock is on top of 20-day moving average with 20-day MA also on top of 50 day MA recently. In addition, %K line is still above %D line and MACD is above 0.

Solar Stocks to watch in the week ahead

In the watchlist posted on Thursday, I had posted the chart of JinkoSolar Holding Co., Ltd. (NYSE:JKS) and commented "The volume picked up today and it may be starting a rally. The daily chart shows a doji candle after a few down days, which is sometimes a reversal signal." Well, the following technical chart above shows exactly what happened yesterday. Looking forward, JKS appears a good buy in near term. The chart shows a stock that is starting to breakout and I would look to the $10 level as the next important point of resistance. The 200-day MA is currently $14.82 a share. A bullish volume pattern has been also formed in the last two sessions. In additon, the MACD is moving upwards in positive zone, revealing increasing bullish momentum and stochastics generated a buy signal. If you haven't added JKS to your watchlist, now is the time.

Canadian Solar Inc. (NASDAQ:CSIQ) has broke to the upside from its recent brief consolidation and the technical chart is bullish. Stock on Thursday closed above its 100 days MA of 3.34 with high volume and yesterday's close confirmed the breakout. Technical indicators are supporting the bulls.

Trina Solar Limited (NYSE:TSL) moved up well on Friday and volume increased. The stock looks good for more gains next week. From a technical standpoint there is a near term to midterm opportunity for shares of TSL to rebound to higher levels. The chart above shows the momentum indicators have turned up and the RSI is on the rise.

Nice spike up on strong volume. Could play First Solar, Inc. (NASDAQ:FSLR) here for a move above $51. MACD is positive and above the signal line. RSI is moving up and above its 50% level.

ReneSola Ltd. (NYSE:SOL) has consolidated very well and is looking ready to move higher from here. A long entry could be made as it breaks over 2.65. Technical chart looks Bullish, the MACD is positive and above the signal line. RSI is moving up and stochastic is also moving up and above its 50% level.

Pacific Biosciences of California (NASDAQ:PACB) - The stock held up pretty well for a stock that had run up $1.42 in just two trading days. I think we might see another spike soon.

InterDigital, Inc. (NASDAQ:IDCC) - Put on your watchlist. Insiders bought huge volume of shares on Thursday.

Hemispherx BioPharma, Inc (NYSEAMEX:HEB) - The rally continued on Friday as buyers drove the price up 9 cents, or 29 percent, to close at $.41

Novatel Wireless, Inc. (NASDAQ:NVTL) has not confirmed a buy signal yet but looks like it coud be getting very close when it clears its 50-day MA. The technical indicator OBV still showing positive divergences and  moving north even as the stock price falls meaning the selling strength is very weak. So a strong bounce is likely.

Cell Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ:CTIC) Flagging here. Could be setting up for a run to $1.50.

Top Trade Ideas for Friday Jan 27th

Equinix Inc (NASDAQ:EQIX) remains one of the hottest stocks on the market. Accompanied with good volumes, the stock marked an all-time high in the last trading session. The daily momentum indicator shows overbought levels and I believe that a near-term correction is likely to happen. The positive view would be negated if the share price closes below 115.26 ( 9-day MA).

Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) - The new bullish trend on my technical daily chart looks good. Key resistance is located at 195.94, a break above this level will confirm the bullish trend, and the following uptrend will take price up to 202 zone. Momentum picking up with MACD climbing and ADX rising. CCI heading up towards 100 line on daily char and the Relative Strength Index is also moving higher, which is a sign of growing strength in the stock.

NuVasive, Inc. (NASDAQ:NUVA) has a short-term bullish looking stock chart. The pull back of today is minimal. The stock is displaying upside momentum and is poised to move higher from these levels. Trending indicators still showing positive signals.

5 Stocks On My Watch List

I told you yesterday about Endologix, Inc.(NASDAQ:ELGX) and today the stock hit a high of $12.87 breaking through resistance and out of flag formation. Looks good to go here.

Oclaro, Inc. (NASDAQ:OCLR) has been on fire the past few weeks and it doesn’t look like the trend will change soon. The stock broke a key resistance today, which should be the start of another upside move. I'm watching the stock again on Thursday and I will be a buyer once it breaks through Wednesday’s high of $4.57. There looks to be good upside in this move, so keep a close eye on OCLR for Thursday’s trading day.

Dendreon Corporation (NASDAQ:DNDN)  - The stock had an interesting day, as it broke out of the range and closed near the highs. Today’s high was $15.21, which is resistance for the continuation move on Thursday. There is a lot of upside in this trade, so keep DNDN on your screen tomorrow.

Pacific Biosciences of California (NASDAQ:PACB) - Nice break with volume 8x above average, like the ADX trend, RS trending higher. The heavy buying makes this an interesting situation and one worth watching on Thursday. From a technical standpoint, the stock is starting to show signs of acumulation with high volume on upside days and low on dowside days. PACB is a possible short squeeze play. Short Interest 2,553,900. Ratio 5.7. Strong looking chart.

JinkoSolar Holding Co., Ltd. (NYSE:JKS) is pulling back to its 50 day moving average on low volume. Consider buying if it can find support at $5.76

Few small caps on the watch list

Endologix, Inc. (NASDAQ:ELGX) - Could be flagging before next move up. At this stage it is definitely a wait and see if the resistance will be easily taken out by the bulls. Stay tuned.

Oclaro, Inc. (NASDAQ:OCLR) has been falling steadily for quite a while, until just recently it started to rebound. The stock is up some 75% off its lows and showing no signs of stopping. I expect its up-move to continue and reach my first price target of $5 in the forthcoming trading sessions.

Pacific Biosciences of California (NASDAQ:PACB) - On the daily time frame the volume bars over the last four weeks show the shorts have covered and as a result the OBV indicator displayed a nice spike. The stock  had a very productive day today as we saw gains of over 15% and hit a high of $4, which is resistance for Wednesday’s move. If the stock can break through resistance, we should see a strong follow through move as there is a high short interest in the stock. Watch the stock closely tomorrow.

Now let’s take a look at CTIC’s activity in the light of the recent successive price increases. The stock is positively reacting to the recent events and is approaching again to key midterm resistance area, the 200-day moving average at $1.44, which typically acts as resistance, so keep an eye on it for a possible breakout. Beyond that, the technical indicators are looking better now for the stock. MACD is rising and the Chaikin Money Flow is positive showing money is flowing into Cell Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ:CTIC).  Long-term investors may hold with a stop at $1.13.

Novatel Wireless, Inc. (NASDAQ:NVTL) is part of my portfolio and I intend to stay with it. As I said before, the stock is still in bottoming mode it looks like. A breakout from this sideways zone will give an excellent opportunity for traders to pick up long positions. However, as long as the price still in this area, the bias remains neutral in short term. NVTL could be a good short squeeze opportunity on any positive news. The OBV still showing good interest, a reversal may be on the way.

Top Trade Ideas for Tuesday Jan 24th

BroadVision, Inc. ( NASDAQ:BVSN) - This stock is up some 300% off its lows and showing no signs of stopping. It's overextended to the upside and signficantly overbought, so we cannot rule out a pull back but at the same time it can remain overbought until it wants to come down. Stay tuned.

Youku Inc (NYSE:YOKU) continued to show strength with another gain on decent volume. The technical chart looks very bullish with a short-term target of $23.

Texas Instruments Incorporated (NASDAQ:TXN) is trading higher after hours, as the company released strong earnings. Tomorrow, I expect the stock to gap higher. There will be very heavy volume tomorrow, and there should be good opportunity for trades. Right now, the technical chart is in a short-term bullish mode and it's really hard to tell until when it would be. The new bullish trend on my daily chart looks good. Key resistance is now located at 34.10, a break above this level will confirm the bullish trend and the following uptrend will take price up to 35 zone.

Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) is in a breakout mode and we could see another up move before the stock pulls back and consolidates. The stock hit high of $26.89 today, and I will be buying once it trades above this price. So keep a close eye on it Tuesday.

Big movers to watch in the week ahead

This week was another solid one for the market and a great one for Oclaro, Inc. (NASDAQ:OCLR). Many of my stock picks busted out and gave us solid profits. Here are some of the big movers to watch in the week ahead.

This week OCLR's stock gained more than 15%. with the shares closing Friday at $4.17. Today’s intraday high of 4.19 is the highest level the stock has touched in more than a two months. The chart looks really bullish in short-term as the stock is trading above 50-day moving average and the 20-day MA crossed above 50-day MA recently. In addition, both KD and MACD show bullish signal as MACD is above 0 and KD is going up. Any pullback to the moving average would be a buying opportunity.

InterDigital, Inc.(NASDAQ:IDCC) was also a winner this week. The stock has been on a downtrend since it reached 52-weeks high of $82.50 in early July 2011.  However, it seems Interdigital stock maybe reversing to a uptrend as the most recent support at 41.06 is higher than the previous support level of 38.51 which show an uptrend. The chart also indicates bullish sign as the 20-day moving average has crossed above 50-day moving average with KD going up and MACD in positive territory. If the stock can keep going up and break the resistance at $49.19 this could further confirm the uptrend.

Shares of Accuray Incorporated (NASDAQ:ARAY) have been rising significant this month, going from 4.20 to $5.25 today gaining almost 25%. The recent spike in price has pushed the stock into a short-term overbought zone. The implication is that a short-term downward correction could materialise and a test of the support zone at $4.7-$4.62 appears likely.

Shares of Ciena Corporation (NASDAQ:CIEN) have been going up for 5 weeks now. The stock is now near the red line as RSI approaches the 80 level. It may still move up some cents but I expect a correction any time as I have observed that a lot of indicators have already reached overbought level. Right now it is way too risky for a long position.

Renren Inc (NYSE:RENN) has rallied from below $3.40 to above $4.50 in just two weeks, a gain of over 30%. The technical chart shows very strong upward momentum as the stock is trading above the 50 day moving average with 20-day moving average going up. At this point, I will be a buyer only once it breaks through today’s high of $4.52 for the continuation move. Stochastics are overbought but remain bullish signaling.

This stock was not a winner this week but I do not think it will stay here for long. Daily technical indicator OBV still showing support for last couple of weeks. Might be something in the works, but that is speculative until we get real news. Novatel Wireless, Inc. (NASDAQ:NVTL) should continue to be on watch and if we break the 3.09 resistance level the stock could retest its October highs.

When I first alerted everyone this morning on twitter about FORM, I fully expected a solid run and an increase in share price, but what we got was much more than I could have even hoped for.  Shares of FormFactor, Inc. (NASDAQ:FORM) closed the day gaining more than 6 percentage. Its technical chart show some bullish signals as KD is now going up and the stock breaks above the 20-day moving average. With this daily chart bull signal its very possible that we could see a continuation into next week.

Few Setups to watch on Friday Jan 20th

OmniVision Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:OVTI) - Nice breakout with decent volume, positive MACD.  The stock seems to have formed an ascending triangle and broke above resistance at 13.35. The target price for the triangle is 16.5. Along its way up it may encounter resistance at 14.77 and 15.5. The breakout volume is good. Look for a quick run.

Barnes & Noble, Inc. (NYSE:BKS) - Bullish engulfing on daily chart, bought some today. If we see follow-through tomorrow, it might run hard. Technically, the MACD shows deeply oversold and is close to rising up through its moving average, which frequently leads to a rally. Plus, MACD histogram is moving up towards the zero line. A move above 12 could spark a nice short-squeeze.

Oclaro, Inc. (NASDAQ:OCLR) has proven its bullishness. It was able to move past 3.87 resistance level and continued up to as high as 4.10. MACD also followed as well with the movement of the price. Chart tells me its a buy.

FormFactor, Inc. (NASDAQ:FORM) - Put a nice reversal candle today. A strong bounce on 2x the daily avg. Key resistance is now located at $5.47, a break above this level will confirm a new bullish trend, and the following uptrend will take price up to $6 zone. The Relative Strength Index is moving higher, which is a sign of growing strength in the stock. Also the MACD is giving a positive indication.

Stocks to Watch Thursday

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) - Breaking out to new highs. You want to keep AAPL on your screen for Thursday’s trading.

InterDigital, Inc. (NASDAQ:IDCC) traced out a nice setup and the upside breakout has a lot of power. Volume surged and this breakout looks like it is here to stay. Crossed its 50 day moving average and is probably heading for 49. There looks to be good upside in IDCC, so keep it on your radar the next few days. Some are speculating that Apple or Samsung might have an interest in buying this company. But there are also rumours that Google might want to buy this company. InterDigital owns an incredible number of very valuable patents, which could be a major incentive for a buyout.

The Home Depot, Inc. (NYSE:HD) has been hitting higher highs and higher lows amongst strong RSI price points. In fact, the RSI is showing multiple points of overbought periods. The stock has been on a strong bull market rally as %K line has been on top of %D line with stock trading above 50 day and 200 day moving average and MACD above 0. For the long term the stock should still continue to go up, however with this kind of overbough conditions I prefer stay away for a better opportunity.

Novatel Wireless, Inc.(NASDAQ:NVTL) is a bottom play trying to make a shift in trend and momentum. From a technical perspective, the stock shows a bullish divergence on MACD while Stochastic looks extremely oversold. To return to rally mode, the stock needs to cross its short-term resistance at $3.04. A move above this level would be positive for the stock. A reversal above $3.04 will take the stock higher to $3.30 or $3.60. Short term momentum is oversold with a positive MACD divergence. If the stock breaks through, there is a good chance you will see a strong upside move. In terms of fundamentals the stock looks cheap. It has a book value of $5.21 and the stock is trading at $2.95 this may signal that the stock is undervalued. In addition, the company has about $58 million in cash on the balance sheet with no debt. A major wireless company might find Novatel worthy of an acquisition. The stock is also a short squeeze candidate. Stay tuned.

Looks like the Bulls are going to win this fight. Just one more push to change the trend. Morgan Stanley (NYSE:MS) had a great move on the upside today and closed at $17.35. The stock is setting up to break out and has one more level to go, which is $19.19. The stock has good upside potential, so keep watching the stock for further moves.
