Top 3 Setups for Wednesday

XenoPort, Inc. (NASDAQ:XNPT) has the 200 SMA at $7.53 and the major resistance to cross at $7.73. The stock has started a steady stream of news and volume that seems to be bringing new investors to the market. Based on technical reasons, there is a near term to midterm opportunity for shares of XNPT to rebound to higher levels. Go long at any close above the $7.73 area. Shareholders may remain invested with a stop-loss at $6.99. The technical daily chart above shows the momentum indicators have turned up and the RSI is on the rise.

Caribou Coffee Company, Inc. (NASDAQ:CBOU) closed at $15.50 back once again above its 20-day moving average, which closed at $14.84. Lots of room to the upside if it can follow through on Tuesday’s move.

Nice spike up on strong volume. Could play Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Inc. (NASDAQ:GMCR) here for a move above $104. MACD is positive and above the signal line. RSI is moving up and above its 50% level.

Stocks to watch on Tuesday, August 30

PriceSmart, Inc. (NASDAQ:PSMT) is ready for a possible rally if breakout key resistance level of $62.27 with big volume. The MACD Histogram is back in positive territory and the stock price is above the 50 and 200 moving averages. Stay tuned.

Ciena Corporation (NASDAQ:CIEN) has made an awesome move on Monday breaking out its resistance level. Plenty of room to upside.

Technical chart is showing some bullish signal in its early stage. Tellabs, Inc. (NASDAQ:TLAB) has been trading on a downward slope since January. Recently, though, it is showing some signs of a possible reversal. The chart is now much improved after today’s action. The MACD has reversed again the course and stock closed above its 20-day moving average. If the stock can break through its 50 SMA at $4.12, I expect to see another strong upside move.

I told you on Saturday about FormFactor, Inc. (NASDAQ:FORM) and today the stock successfully broke the resistance at $8.25 with unusual volumes. This is a very bullish development. Short-term technical indicators are strong and the MACD on the daily chart recently produced a new buy signal. If the stock can break today’s high of $8.34, we should see a strong follow through move. FORM will move very quickly, so keep a very close eye on the stock.

We finally got the breakout in Novavax, Inc. (NASDAQ:NVAX). Shares rallied past resistance of $1.47 and hit my trigger to open positions. Watch the $1.75 as potential resistance. Let's keep an eye on NVAX as i think momentum will pick up.

Hot stocks to watch next week

Dollar Tree, Inc. (NASDAQ:DLTR) hit a new 52-week high on Friday, trading as high as $70.62, before settling at a close of $70.46. I'll be watching the stock on Monday, looking for a follow through move. As long as the stock stay above $66.84, the bullish scenario still intact. Technical chart shows very strong bullish sign. First of all the stock is trading above both 50-day and 200-day moving average with both moving average pointing upwards. Then the MACD indicator is rising above "0" also indicating a buy. In addition, KD line still show the stock is on the positive swing.

CF Industries Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:CF) is now clearly in an impulsive wave upwards. If you are on board, there's nothing more to do but enjoy the ride. On the daily chart, the technical indicators show a continuation of the trend with MACD and RSI in the Bullish areas. Long-term investors may hold with a stop at $161.97 ( 13-Day SMA ). Let's keep an eye on her as i think momentum will pick up.

Waste Connections, Inc. (NYSE:WCN) has broken out to all time highs again. The volume on Friday’s break was great. WCN is now seeing blue skies as there is no resistance overhead. The technical chart is showing tremenous strength with KD rising and MACD above 0. In addition, both 50 day and 200 day are both rising showing the stock would be in bull market for a while. Only a close below $32.09 would warrant a change in sentiment.

Looks ready for a bounce. FormFactor, Inc. (NASDAQ:FORM) is still oversold as evidenced by the stochastics and RSI. MACD Histogram shows a positive divergence from the price chart, so there is still some chance that the stock may test the $8.55 lvls in coming days.

THQ Inc. (NASDAQ:THQI) - Signs of life continue to show on the technical indicators Slow Stochastic and MACD, but we need more strength than that to take this patient off life support.

PAETEC Holding Corp. (NASDAQ:PAET) has been on a nice uptrend and could be ready to breakout. I would not be surprised to see this stock trade back to $5.39 or better in the short term.

A123 Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:AONE), this stock jumped over 9% today to close at $4.70. It ended the day trading 4 million shares and closed near the highs of the day. I would not be surprised to see this stock over $5 in the next few days.

Tellabs, Inc. (NASDAQ:TLAB) still has nearly $1.1 billion in cash in the bank and its market capitalization is currently $1.4 billion. That means that for every $3.7 you invest you are buying $3.36 in cash !!! In other words, your risk downside is significantly reduced. Even if this company were to do absolutely everything wrong and close tomorrow, your maximum realistic downside is only 10% and the chances of that happening are slim. This stock should be on your watchlist if it isn't already.

At some point, I think THQ Inc. (NASDAQ:THQI) will have a nice pop to the upside followed by a slow and sustained upward move. This company is in the midst of a turnaround and I expect the stock price to start to rise in anticipation. With this stock trading as high as $6.49 early this year, I think today's current price of $1.86 represents a great opportunity for investors. From a technical standpoint, this stock looks to have bottomed and has significant support at $1.76.

Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. (NASDAQ:TTWO) today this stock held its ground and could be ready to takes its next step higher. The technical daily chart above shows the momentum indicators have turned up and the RSI is on the rise. Looks good over $12.02 for a trade. 13 SMA providing support now.

Gulf Resources, Inc. (NASDAQ:GURE) looks to be working its way higher after a dramatic fall in price from $3. It could see a nice rally from here.

FormFactor, Inc.(NASDAQ:FORM) - Technical daily chart is showing a bullish engulfing pattern which is bullish in nature, but bulls has to go through a cluster of resistance as shown the red line in the chart. Resistance cluster is from 8.41-8.56 area. Price needs also to keep its head above 13 day moving average which is important for bulls. The daily stochastic is oversold, indicating a higher probability for the daily trend to resume up. Stay tuned.... I still like this stock and I like it even more at this price.

Novatel Wireless, Inc. (NASDAQ:NVTL) - On the daily time-frame the MACD-histogram has been sloping up and the daily slow stochastics and RSI are both rising, indicating bullishness. Watching over 3.69 for a trade.

THQ Inc. (NASDAQ:THQI) - As you can see, the MACD just crossed above its signal line and in buy mode. Other supporting evidence to enter long is that the stochastic and RSI are moving upwards as well.

MELA Sciences, Inc. (NASDAQ:MELA) - The daily MACD-histogram has ticked up, indicating that the bears are losing momentum. The 10-day MA has stopped declining and has flattened out. These factors suggest taking a long position. Looks decent for $2.27 breakout.

AutoZone, Inc. (NYSE:AZO) is strong and getting stronger every day it seems. If it can close above $298,34, then expect more upside. If this happens, AZO is a good play. The daily chart shows the stock is on a strong bull market as the stock is trading above 50-day and 200-day moving with both moving average pointing upwards. I think the stock should continue to go up.

Pan American Silver Corp. (NASDAQ:PAAS) had a good move Monday. The stock broke out the falling wedge pattern to the upside by surging more than eight per cent. This is a trend reversal pattern suggesting a halt in the bearish trend . The stock could touch an upside target of 34.35 in the short term. The technical daily chart shows the stock is now back to uptrend and with %K line above %D line we may see more upside. There is an increase in volumes over the past two trading sessions. In addition, the daily relative strength index has entered in to the bullish zone and weekly RSI is heading towards this zone in the neutral region. Existing holders could remain invested. PAAS will move quickly, so watch the stock closely on Tuesday.

Research In Motion Limited (NASDAQ:RIMM) - I'm looking for a breakout over $28.49, then a move into the gap around $30.2. This chart shows MACD positive divergence. Another good point of interest is the high amount of shorts in the stock. Could see a shortsqueeze possibly once the gap is reentered.

Stock Watch List For Friday, Aug 19

Despite the general market's weakness, Sodastream International Limited (NASDAQ:SODA) made an impressive turnaround and rallied almost 2.37% to close the day at $39.72. Resistance for Friday’s move is $40.4, which reflects Thursday’s high of the day. If the stock can break through resistance, we will have a two-bar reversal, which is very bullish for an upside move. Keep a close eye on SODA for Friday.

Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ:NFLX) closed below its 200-day moving average for the first time since October 2008. The next level of interest to watch on the downside is recent support around $205.90.

THQ Inc. (NASDAQ:THQI) - Technical chart is currently showing a positive divergence on MACD histogram to price. The volume is also decreasing, which means the trend is unlikely to continue and the decline in prices will slow down. This could be a precursor for a rebound in the stock. Keep THQI on your radar for Friday’s trading session.

Technically, Apollo Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:APOL) just broke out above its 50-day MA at $46.64. The stock price is now riding on an upward movement. Technical indicators are becoming more favorable with MACD and Stochastics starting to turn up. Next resistance lies at today's high of $47.91 and then at $48.66.

Corinthian Colleges, Inc. (NASDAQ:COCO) - The daily chart above shows a symmetrical triangle that is getting narrower by the day. Price will soon break out to the upside or downside. Stay tuned !!

Strayer Education, Inc. (NASDAQ:STRA) - The technical chart shows a bearish picture for stock with MACD and KD showing weak signal as MACD is below 0 and K line is dropping below D line. Although the Stochastic is clearly oversold, we all know that an oversold indicator, especially the Stochastic within a bearish probability can be misleading. The stock has a strong support in the$99.50 area , but any close below this level could start a new sell off.

Tellabs, Inc. (NASDAQ:TLAB) had a significant bullish momentum today, made a strong break out above its 50-day moving average as you can see on my daily chart above, which is very bullish. The stock is again setting up for a potential swing trade. From a technical standpoint, MACD Histogram and stochastic oscillator have turned up and RSI is again moving upward. Next resistance is located at $4.69.

Sino Clean Energy Inc. (NASDAQ:SCEI) closed up on Monday at $1.96, and it appears ready to make another big run. I'm using the July 20th high of $2.62 as resistance. Once the stocks breaks through, we should see a heavy increase in buying. Stay tuned !!!

Dendreon Corporation (NASDAQ:DNDN) has been hit very hard but today’s move could be the first of a short-term swing. The technical daily chart above shows new rally is coming as %K line has just crossed on top of %D line. DNDN is extremely oversold and I would be looking for a technical bounce with initial resistance at $13.55. Keep the stock on your screen throughout the day on Tuesday.

InterDigital, Inc. (NASDAQ:IDCC) - The bulls have no reason to be alarmed yet. In fact, they may have a reason to celebrate, the stock closed the week above the key resistance level of $75, a strong Bullish signal for next week.

XenoPort, Inc. (NASDAQ:XNPT) - Closed above the major resistance line at $6.99. Looks good over $7.18 ( 50-day SMA ) with volume. Although both 50 day and 200 day moving averages are falling, the rising KD shows the stock is probably now in recovery mode.

FormFactor, Inc. (NASDAQ:FORM) is too cheap to be ignored. This is far under-valued stock in semi-conductor field. FormFactor, Inc. is a financially solid company with great fundamentals and will continue to be an excellent play in its sector. The currrent price is also certainly very attractive. It has no debt, 414 millions of market capitalization and about $325 million of cash or $6.38. Institutions own 90% of the company's shares. The company is repurchasing shares and is authorized to purchase an additional $46 million worth of shares over the next three months. From a technical perspective, the short term technical indicators are showing oversold readings. Probably on the upside we could see a bounce to around $8.50 or even $8.93 levels on FormFactor.

American Oriental Bioengineering, Inc. (NYSE:AOB) has held up fairly well. Thursday's heavy volume could be a precursor to a new vertical move. Taking a look at the daily chart above we see that price action is still retracing to the upside. The RSI and Stochastics also indicates existence of strength. Positive MACD action. This may be a strong signal for fresh upside. All the smaller cap Chinese stocks are starting to rebound from the bloodbath. Keep it on your watch list.

THQ Inc. (NASDAQ:THQI) - The stock failed to continue its bullish momentum on Friday, bottomed at 1.82 and closed at 1.85. However, the stock dropped on low volume, dont forget that. The insider transaction chart shows that for the past few days the top executive has been purchasing the stock. In addition, institutions own 98.7% of the company's shares. The puchasing of common stocks from insiders should give a boost to the disappointing peformance of THQI stock which went from $6.01 per share last March to 52 weeks low of $1.74 cents on Thursday.

THQ Inc. (NASDAQ:THQI) - Nice reversal from the lows today. Going long here. RSI is turning which means we are looking at a rebound. Tomorrow, the stock might go above $2. Short-term investors can buy with a stop at $1.80 and long-term investors can hold with a stop at $1.74. Let's keep an eye on her as i think momentum will pick up. Institutions still holding an incredible amount of shares. Invesco announced yesterday that owns over 10% of the company. Stay tuned on THQI.....

Technically, I think Sino Clean Energy Inc. (NASDAQ:SCEI) is bottoming out here and will run back to $2 bucks or so. Use a strict stop-loss of $1.51 on closing basis.

Motorola Mobility Holdings Inc (NYSE:MMI) - Watching for $25.17 breakout. All indicators are in favor of an upward price movement. MACD has generated a buy signal and is currently above the 0 line. This momentum could push this stock much higher from here, so keep the stock on your radar for Friday’s trading day, as there is good upside potential in this move.

Shares of Caribou Coffee Company, Inc. (NASDAQ:CBOU) made a new 52 week high today closing at $16.90 on heavy volume. The stock hit a high of $17.25, which is now resistance for Friday’s continuation move. If the stock can break through resistance, we should see another strong upside move. CBOU will move very quickly, so watch the stock closely on Friday.

Sirius XM Radio Inc. (NASDAQ:SIRI) closed the day just above the break out point after some decent swings. The stock has been beaten down since July, but at this moment it seems pretty clear that buyers have been waiting in the 1.68-1.8 range. The stock may attempt to go higher from here. If the near-by support at $1.806 holds up on Friday, a rally up to the $2 level is probable or even possible. Only a close below $1.75 would negate the positive outlook.
