Trade Ideas for the Week of March 14
Above is a technical daily chart of Ulta Salon, Cosmetics & Fragrance, Inc. (NASDAQ:ULTA) with basic trendlines applied. Clearly , the stock is in a long term uptrend. Recently, prices have accelerated off of the lower trendline and after a small consolidation period the broke to new highs on strong volume. Outlook for the stock is rosy as reflected in technical analysis. The stochastic analysis is signaling a bullish outlook which can be further confirming in MACD and ADX charts. MACD has a bullish crossover. Plus, the stock is trading well above its 50 and 200-day moving averages. The daily and weekly technical indicators of the stock also are featuring in the bullish zone implying upward momentum. Resistance is now located at $47.55, which was today's high. Once the stock breaks through this resistance area, we should see an increase in volume as the stock moves higher. Keep a close eye on the stock for the follow through move on Monday.
Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) - Another conclusive close above $354.80 could take the stock to $361 initially and then to $364. In the medium term, it is still trading within an uptrend channel. Investors with medium-term perspective can hold the stock as long it remains above the trendline.

I remain bearish on XOMA Ltd. (XOMA) in the near-term. MACD has a bearish crossover. In addition, the bearish crossover in the ADX chart adds to my conviction. Support can be found around $4.36. My technical view will be negated on a close above $5.43.

SINA Corporation (NASDAQ:SINA) jumped 13 per cent this week, conclusively closing above its long-term resistance level of $94.30. From its multi-year May low of $32.30, the stock has been on a long-term uptrend. As long as the stock stays above $90, the possibility of it moving higher to $100 would be on the cards. On the other hand, a fall below the $90 mark will drag it lower to $84.30 or $75.50. All technical analysis are flashing bullish outlook in the short/medium and long term.
