Stock Picks for Friday 30 July
( click to enlarge )Shares of Intel touched near the 200-day moving average from above but failed to break through the support line. If the stock price remains above this critical level, then investors may continue to buy the shares in anticipation of an upward price move. If shares of Intel fall below this major support line, the trend of the stock may change. INTC has been in a short-term downtrend since last week, but it might have finally found a bottom. Today, the stock closed down $.30 on a volume of over 77 million of shares. INTC is trading above the 50 day moving average and the 200 day moving average. The stock's 52 week low is $18.31 and 52 week high is $24.37. I still like this stock and will be watching it again on Friday, expecting to see a rebound. Resistance for Friday is $21.48, which was today's high.
( click to enlarge )SOHU has rallied from below $40.5 to above $48 in just one month, a gain of over 20%. The technical daily chart shows very strong upward momentum as the stock is trading above the 50 day moving average with both 13 day and 50 day moving average going up. At this point, buy the stock only when it crosses $48.77 and not at current levels. Stochastics and the RSI are overbought but remain bullish signaling.
