Stock picks for Monday June 14

MOT was a great pick for this week giving readers over a 8% gain ! The stock was mentioned on AC Investor Blog on Wednesday when it was trading below $6.68. For those of you that bought MOT than 8% gains or more are in your pocket right now !!! After today's action the technical daily chart of MOT shows stronger bull market signal as the stock price is now above 50-day moving average. In addition, the stock broke out of a channel. Resistance lies now at 7.51, which was the high back on April 29th. Once MOT breaks through resistance, be prepared for a fast upside move.

Shares of Cell Therapeutics surged 24% to 0.449 cents per share after the company announced positive data from its Pixuvri trial in patients with relapsed or refractory, aggressive non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. According to the press release, patients who achieved a complete response or unconfirmed complete response to the drug had a 63% probability of being alive at 24 months more than triple rate of those treated with comparator agents. From a technical perspective, although the 50-day and 200-day moving average still indicates weakness as the stock still trading below both moving averages, other technical indicators suggests that the stock should be ready for an upswing. With MACD rising above 0 and %K line crossing on top over %D line, a major rally is probably coming. If CTIC can break through Friday’s high, we should see the stock move higher as this would be a reversal of the short-term down move, so watch the stock closely on Monday.

SQNM traded higher on Friday, as the stock received an upgrade in pre-market by Auriga U.S.A from Hold to Buy. The stock closed up $.50 on heavy volume. I'm a buyer of SQNM once it breaks through Friday’s high of $6.50 for the continuation move. The technical daily chart shows the rally is back again as %K line has just crossed on top over %D line and stock is back above 50-day moving average, a positive signal. You need to keep the stock on your screen, because the stock will take off very quickly. Stay tuned !!!
