Texas Instruments disappointed investors
Chart courtesy of stockchartsTexas Instruments yesterday said that the fourth-quarter net income rose 34% from a year-ago, boosted by higher sales of chips used in mobile phones and reduced manufacturing costs, but the shares fell 3% today, hurt by a below-forecast quarterly revenue, also the total sales came below analysts' expectations due to TI's inability to ship chips out the door fast enough to meet demand.
