Friday's Watchlist

Is Green Dot Corporation (NYSE:GDOT) on your Radar ? It Better Be ! GDOT has gained momentum recently and the stock rebounded about 10% in the past couple of trading sessions on solid volume, closing today near its critical breakout point of 13.6. Any close above this level in my opinion is the key to unlocking the chart and getting the party started. The next resistance is not until up at $16.75. After the 200-day SMA, things enter into Blue Sky Breakout territory !!!!! With a Bullish MACD cross, along with the bullish RSI action, it should only be a matter of time for stock to take off. Lots of eyes looking for a break higher to close the gap. Be sure to get it on your radars !

Aon PLC (NYSE:AON) had a strong session, up 2.27% to 58.08, closing above its resistance area that has contained prices over the last two months. The stock has been in an uptrend since July and today's break suggests a continuation of the upmove.

Sprint Nextel Corporation (NYSE:S) has been in a Three-month consolidation with resistance in the 6 area. The stock is again at the top of the channel with a rally over the past one month from 5.40 to 5.87. A break of 6.04 could push the stock further higher up to 7 level.

Williams Companies, Inc. (NYSE:WMB) Over 34.39 for a momentum trade on a good setup.

Capital One Financial Corp. (NYSE:COF) is approaching a key resistance level at 62.92, a break of which could accelerate the stock price.

Interesting Stocks To Watch next week

Xyratex Ltd. (NASDAQ:XRTX) is starting to work its way higher after dropping from over $12 a share. At $7.54 a share and considering that XRTX was trading well over $10 last month the risk for further decline is outweighed by the potential gain that a strong bounce would provide. With today's closing price of $7.54 I think a quick bounce to $8 or better is in the cards. Now taking look at daily charts we may see that majority of the technical indicators started to show some bullish signs. The RSI just bounced off extreme oversold conditions during today's rally, MACD made a bullish cross and is heading up. Slow Stochastic also shows bullish cross with %K over %D. This is a stock you should add to your watch list as believe it could move higher from current levels.

I have my eye on BioCryst Pharmaceuticals, Inc.(NASDAQ:BCRX) for a swing trade. The stock is setting up nicely for a breakout, but I'd like to see a move above 4.75 on good volume before getting involved.

Capital One Financial Corp. (NYSE:COF) made a new 52 week high today closing at $60.75 on heavy volume. The stock hit a high of 60.89, which is now resistance for Monday’s continuation move. If the stock can break through resistance, we should see another strong upside move. COF will move very quickly, so watch the stock closely next week.

Aeropostale, Inc. (NYSE:ARO) Some positive divergences on daily charts. We might have seen the bottom and ready for a sustain rally. If the stock can stay above $12.6, then it has potential to rebound to $13.6 resistance inicially then $14.10

The Ryland Group, Inc. (NYSE:RYL) shares may be in a consolidation phase following a nice trend. Looks like it will move up again. Keep an eye for a possible breakout over $33.90

Stock Picks and Trade Ideas for Wednesday - CVS, COF, HD

Chart courtesy of www.stockcharts.com ( click to enlarge )

HD's stock breaks down on Friday. From the technical chart, both MACD and KD show bearish sign. The stock is still trading below the 50 day and 200 day moving average, also a bearish sign. In the short term, I see no reason to buy the stock. Only a close above $21 would impart positive momentum. The stock could fall up to $18.50.

COF - The stock has made a new 52-week low at $9.69 a share, closing the day at $10.13. I will take long positions at this point hoping that this stock has reached the bottom. The reason for that is due to the fact that the stock has traded a huge amount of shares, probably a sign of capitulation. Could this be the reversal ? I'm betting it is, but I'm not sure. Be careful.

CVS - Chevron shares broke down its support on Friday on increased volume and selling pressure making this stock appear that it could easily be sent down to its support around 63. Only the break of the prior support now resistance confirmed by a daily closing will support higher levels. The indicators of the daily chart are still negative suggesting further possible pressure but a strong closing again above 67.50 could change this scenery.
