Pharmacyclics, Inc. (NASDAQ:PCYC) is firming just above its 20-day moving average over the last few days. This is a neutral pattern dependent on a break to establish a directional bias. A break below $11.80 would signal a decline and be quite bearish, on the other hand a breakout at $13.09 would be very bullish.

MELA Sciences, Inc. (NASDAQ:MELA) attempted to breakout today but didn't succeed. A breakout from this sideways zone will give an excellent opportunity for traders to pick up long positions. However, as long as the price still in this area, the bias remains neutral in short term. The only thing I don't like about MELA is its volatility, because volality means indecision by the investors. It does not mean the stock will not breakout very soon but I want tighter price movement and solid volume so we know we are flushing out the sellers. Honestly, I think shorts are trying to scare the small investor before the stock skyrockets. This could explode on any positive news due to the high short interest compared to float.
