Stock Picks for Tuesday, October 26

Applied Materials, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMAT) is in a good medium-term uptrend. The price has bounced off the low of $10.27 touched in late August. If you have purchased at lower levels and are sitting on meaningful profits, hold with a stop at $11.59. The price can head towards the 12.41-12.50 zone. If this zone is surpassed, getting to $13.16 would be a possibility. Add to your position once there is a close above $12.51.

Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ:NFLX) is trading near its all time high. Buy only when the stock breaches $174.94.

Royale Energy, Inc. (NASDAQ:ROYL) is forming a bullish MACD divergence on the daily chart that is certaintly a sign that price can go up. The stock is finding resistance around the 50-day moving average but is also finding support just above the $1.96. As for the longer term, I feel the stock can get back to $2.30-$2.40 toward the end of 2010. $2.07 is now a major resistance level on the upside, and close above $2.17 ( 200-dma ) would be very bullish. I like the chart pattern and feel that ROYL will try to break through resistance sometime this week. Keep a close eye on this stock, because once it breaks through, we should see a very fast, high volume move.

A123 Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:AONE) was a big winner today, as the stock closed up $.52 on good volume. The stock seems to have broken out of an ascending triangle formation. I feel that there will be a continuation move tomorrow, but I want to see it break through a big psychological resistance at the $10 level. There are several short and mid term technical indications suggesting that AONE could make a move to higher levels. Keep a close eye on AONE for Tuesday.
