Bullish stocks - Motorola and JDS Uniphase

Hello Folks !! To start, let’s take a look at JDSU’s activity in the light of the recent successive price increases. Looking at JDSU’s chart, we can see that it is positively reacting to the recent events. Just as when the index moved lower, the stock moved higher. JDSU is one good stock to observe and possibly buy if the market does turn around. Currently the stock is moving sideways. The technical charts are showing positive signs of further strength. Firstly, the ADX value is increasing and approaching the 30 level. +DI is above the –DI indicating development of strong up trend. MACD indicator is above its signal line. Price momentum is likely to continue if the MACD indicator can stay above its signal line for the next few trading days. In addition, RSI is increasing and is not in overbought region.

MOT seems to be a promising stock to follow. The stock had a large spread and large volume today after Bernstein initiated coverage on the stock with an Outperform rating and $11 price target. Analysts said MOT appears undervalued, and credible break-up scenarios exist and could materialize in 2010. 2009 and 2010 EPS estimates set at $0.01 and $0.33, respectively. Also worth noting is the price which is now above the 3 moving averages. This denotes strength for the stock. On the daily chart we can see the short term bearish trend line has been violated to the upside. The bias is now bullish in nearest term but remains neutral in medium term. With KD rising we could see possible rally coming for the stock. Let's keep an eye on MOT as i think momentum will pick up.
