Google Is the Best Company to Work For

Google shot straight to the top in its first appearance on Fortune's list this year. Google makes its debut in the number one position on FORTUNE's 10th annual "100 Best Companies to Work For" list.

What makes it so great?

No. 1 sets the standard for Silicon Valley: free meals, swimming spa, and free doctors onsite. Engineers can spend 20% of time on independent projects. No wonder Google gets 1,300 résumés a day. Work is such a cozy place that it's sometimes difficult for Google employees to leave the office.
