As I have mentioned before this blog will be now written in English. According to statistics of origin of the visitors, most of the traffic is from countries that don't have the Portuguese language as primary, so I think this change will be a form to increase the traffic and to give more satisfation to all people that daily visit my blog. If you have any comment about this change, please inform me and perhaps I will put a translator to translate this blog from English to other languages. I'll appreciate your kind understanding and cooperation.

CIEN is one of my top picks for this year, I see some good reasons to keep this stock in my porfolio.
Good commentaries was given by some analysts during December that can leave more confortable some investors.

- Ciena Could Be Strongest Performer In Sector In 2006

Credit Suisse First Boston analyst Paul Silverstein said Ciena could see "meaningful future revenue growth and profitability" from its status as a "preferred supplier" for BT Group's planned "21st Century Network."
The analyst said he expects there will be "an approximate two- to three-quarter delay between product shipment and revenue recognition by Ciena," resulting in the company recognizing revenue around the fourth quarter of fiscal 2006.

-Standard & Poor's Equity Research analyst Kenneth Leon maintained a "hold" rating on Ciena after the company successfully completed contract negotiations to be a preferred supplier for BT Group's next-generation IP-based network.

Leon said in a research report that he views "BT as an important contributor to Ciena's transport and switching segment sales in fiscal 2006 (ending October)." The analyst expects that segment will be 60% of total sales.

Many reasons to keep this stock in alert.
