Top 4 Setups for Wednesday

Shares of DryShips Inc. (NASDAQ:DRYS) rose 8% to $4.05 cents per share. The technical chart above shows the stock could still go higher as %K line is rising on top of %D line indicating buy signal. In addition, ROC is still at oversold level and could attract bargain hunters. However, the stock is still in bear market as MACD and signal line are still below 0. Based on current trend, the stock may go till $4.54 per share or the 50 day sma before facing the next resistence.

The area comprehended between $43 and $44 represents a heavy resistance for Dendreon Corporation (NASDAQ:DNDN). At this stage, the stock is extended for additional positions, and is near the overbought zone. I really like the chart but at this level I would wait for a pull back before putting any cash to work. A close above $43.96 would have positive implications and could drive the stock much higher. Keep DNDN on your radar.

FormFactor, Inc. (NASDAQ:FORM) corrected from its recent high, but received support from its 200 day EMA. The stock rallied with the market today but the bounce stalled near its 50-day sma. Short-term technical indicators are improving and the MACD on the daily chart shows a possible bullish crossover. In addition, the slow stochastics has moved up strongly from the oversold zone. Right now, the stock looks like it could really get some momentum if it could get over its 50-day moving average at $9.98. If the stock can break above this level, it's worth a trade. FORM will move very quickly, so keep a very close eye on the stock.

TEKELEC (NASDAQ:TKLC) has appeared recently on my blog for a potential move higher. Looking at technical chart above, you can see for yourself that the recent gains have come on relatively strong volume. Other factors that are in favor of a move higher is the technical indicator On Balance Volume and the the Relative Strength Index. In addition, the stock is trading above both 20 day and 50 day moving average and MACD is above 0 showing positive momentum. Resistance for Wednesday’s move is $9.22, which reflects Tuesday’s high of the day.

Good looking charts on the long side

DISH Network Corp. (NASDAQ:DISH) finally broke out today but the volume was not as high as expected. Meanwhile, the stock closed near the highs of the day on Friday and further upside is expected to be seen next week.

Oncothyreon Inc. (NASDAQ:ONTY) has broken out to all time highs again. The volume on Friday's break was great, however at the present level she's incredibly extended. I'm bullish on this stock, but in situations like this, I prefer to wait for a pull back rather than chase the market. Technically, the stock is still in a very strong bull market with MACD on top of signal line and 50 day moving average on top of 200 day moving average. ONTY has the following important levels. Resistance at $6.50 and support at $5.91.

Ecopetrol S.A. (NYSE:EC) looks great on both a weekly and daily charts. The good news however is that stock is getting closer to a major break-out, so keep an eye on her for a possible breakout over $44.24. Looking at the daily chart, the stock is still in bull market as 50 day moving average is still above 200 day moving average so any pull back would mean buying opportunity. Stay tuned.

First Cash Financial Services, Inc. (NASDAQ:FCFS) has a bullish looking stock chart, price broke out from the horizontal resistance mark around $39.34/share today on heavy volume.

TEKELEC (NASDAQ:TKLC) - Chart is printing a strong Bullish movement after stock has broken the key resistance area of $8.84. This chart tells you that the place to be in TKLC is on the long side, however you should be prepared for possibly backtest of the breakout line. The RSI has just reversed off the 50% line and the slow stochastic had a positive crossover. These two indicators along with the rising OBV is signalling that smart money has started to re-enter the stock. The immediate resistance level is located at $9.07 followed by $9.27.

Friday's Stocks to Watch, May 27

TEKELEC (NASDAQ:TKLC) displayed some impressive relative strength with a 5.58% gain. Today TKLC broke out of its bull flag suggesting a further move to the upside and continuation of this bullish trend. The technical indicators are looking better now for the stock. The stock has just entered into a short-term bull market as the stock is on top of 20 day and 50 day moving averages. Other technical indicator such as MACD, is above 0 showing positive momentum while KD line also show buy signal as %K line is top of %D line. In addition, On Balance Volume is increasing, indicating accumulation of shares in the market. Technically speaking the stock is now painting a short-term “Bullish” picture. Consistent move above $9.07 ( horizontal resistance line ) could be a beginning of a new technical bullish reversal at least testing 10.63/11.20 area.

FormFactor, Inc. (NASDAQ:FORM) has been beaten down since last month, but at this moment it seems pretty clear that buyers have been waiting in the 9-9.20 range. It looks like it is starting to turn back up and indicators are giving the first bullish signs. The Stochastic Oscillator is registering a bullish signal as the %K has crossed above the %D and the RSI is rising slowly but hasn’t reached the 50% level. The stock needs to close above $9.94 on a daily basis in order to mitigate the negative near term view. The stock has the following important levels. Resistance at $9.62 and support at $9.24.

I continue to watch $6.12 for A123 Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:AONE), if it can break up through there, its worth it for me to buy for a trade. This is a price to keep an eye on in the future. On the downside, there continues to be solid support around $5.50. Pullbacks below this level should be bought with a tight stop at $5.29. Short-term technical indicators are improving and MACD histogram bars are slowly picking up while RSI is neutral at 50. Keep an eye on it.

salesforce.com, inc. (NYSE:CRM) broke out to a new all-time high today, accompanied by a good volume suggesting higher levels.The stock has been in a nice uptrend for the last two weeks and it looks very strong with both 50 day and 200 day moving average going up while %K line is on top of %D line. CRM is now on the overbought level, so this means a possible correction is near. Watchout for support at 150.58, as long as the stock does not go below this level on its correction phase, we are still safe. CRM is a stock to keep an eye on for awhile.

Four Dry bulk stocks to watch

The sell-off in Eagle Bulk Shipping Inc. (NASDAQ:EGLE) has stalled. The short-term trend is down, but this is a good spot to speculate on an oversold bounce. The stock has recovered from its its 52-week low of $2.51 hit on Monday and closed today at $2.67. The current rally should at least push the stock to $2.80 per share where the major resistance is. EGLE needs to close above this level to indicate a continuation of the rally. If this rally fails, there’s a new downside risk. Shareholders may remain invested with a stop-loss at $2.51.

DryShips Inc. (NASDAQ:DRYS) spiked to $3.80 this morning but the rally ran out of steam and shares closed below it. The technical indicators continue to look weak. The MACD is in negative zone and below the signal line.The RSI and slow stochastic are in their oversold zones. The ROC is in the negative zone as well. The stock price needs to rally above $3.92 before fresh investments can be made in this stock.

Navios Maritime Partners L.P. (NYSE:NMM) is still sinking. I'm still okay with NMM as a bearish candidate. The stock under performed the market on Wednesday and remains under the Tuesday highs. If the stock closes above $19.4 then we'll probably drop it as a bearish candidate. If that happens we can watch it for a bullish breakout over resistance at $19.83. The technical indicators are all bearish. The MACD is in negative territory and below the signal line. The ROC is in the negative zone and RSI is moving sideways below the 50% level. At this point, the only hope for the bulls is possible support from the 200 day EMA.

Diana Shipping Inc. (NYSE:DSX) rallied toward resistance near $11.53 again but not before dipping to $11.20 this morning. This stock is holding up nicely above the key support of $11.15 in this weak market environment. It has a good base which can be used as a stop loss for long position. On the upper side, the move is likely to accelerate above $11.59. Short-term investors can hold the stock as long as it trades above $11.

Wednesday's Stocks to Watch, May 25

Bank of America Corporation (NYSE:BAC) has a strong support around $11 from where it could attempt a bounce back. On daily chart, the technical indicators are not showing any signs of a recovery. Only the RSI has made a higher bottom which could lead to a pullback.

Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ:NFLX) - The daily technical indicators of the stock are losing momentum and are close to flashing some sell signals, however until near term support is broken near $235 ( 50 day sma ) it is hard to get too negative. Some indicators are displaying negative divergences as they failed to make new highs. The stock made a new high of $254.98 on April 25, but none of the technical indicators came even close to a new high. This negative divergence will help the bear cause. Insider selling also indicates bearishness. It's because of the technical indicators and some fundamentals that I retain my bearish bias. I believe this stock is overvalued now.

FormFactor, Inc. (NASDAQ:FORM) - Despite today's sell-off, the stock holds its 200-day moving average, which it is sitting on right now. The technical indicators are looking weak but the slow stochastic is about to show a bullish cross, with the %K touching the %D line. If FormFactor's stock can go up again to bring %K line up, then you may want to consider buying the stock as it has pletty of room to go since ROC is at oversold level. I like this stock at current levels on a fundamental basis.

Tuesday's Stocks to Watch, May 24

CF Industries Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:CF) - Massive high volume spike today, breaking out of multi-month consolidation. Looking for $143.32 to hold. If so, the stock could make a push for $152-154 without much resistance. Technical Indicators are supporting the bulls. RSI is moving up and above its 50% level. MACD is positive and above the signal line. Buy CF only above $147.96 with a stop loss of $137.88 for the short term targets of 152 and 154.10.

Marvell Technology Group Ltd. (NASDAQ:MRVL) is testing the support at $14.19, possible double bottom on daily chart, hold.

Compuware Corporation (NASDAQ:CPWR) - Looks like it will support above the $10.4 support, signal of strength, still needs confirmation tomorrow. From the technical analysis perspective, the outlook for CPWR is relatively bearish. MACD momentum and histograms trend lower at new lows in negative territory and RSI holds near recent lows in bearish territory. The chart is weak. Hold your current position with a stop at $10.40.

Cell Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ:CTICD) is coming off a strong bottom bounce. The stock has started a steady stream of news and volume that seems to be bringing new investors to the market. Based on technical reasons, there is a near term to midterm opportunity for shares of CTICD to rebound to higher levels. Go long at any close above the $2.46 area. Shareholders may remain invested with a stop-loss at $1.98.

Stock Watchlist For Next Week

Shares of Arena Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ: ARNA) surged more than 7% to $1.38 per share on today's session after announced that lorcaserin will be featured in presentations at ECO 2011, the 18th European Congress on Obesity. This event will take place May 25-28, 2011, at the Istanbul Convention & Exhibition Centre Lutfi Kirdar in Istanbul, Turkey. Lorcaserin is an investigational drug candidate intended for weight management, including weight loss and maintenance of weight loss, in patients who are obese or patients who are overweight and have at least one weight-related co-morbid condition. From a technical standpoint, it looks likea stock that is poised to make a come back after dissappointing performance this year. First of all the six month chart shows the stock has formed a bottom around $1.21. Then the stock closed above its 50 dma for the first time since January with good volume. Although stock is still in bear market with MACD below 0, with %K line now back above %D line the stock has chance to start new rally. Keep a close eye on ARNA because it could be a strong play.

Golar LNG Limited (NASDAQ:GLNG) - Nice looking breakout with volume. Held 50 day sma and broke above recent consolidation. Looking for a move above $30.44 as an entry here on the long side. The technical daily chart above shows the momentum indicators have turned up and the RSI is on the rise.

Analog Devices, Inc. (NYSE:ADI) - Very impressive high volume breakout on Wednesday. The stock needs to hold this prior resistance are as support for ADI players not to get punished. Otherwise, best to let it base out a bit first before entering. Technically, the stock is in bull market rally as %K line is on top of %D line and MACD is above signal.

FormFactor, Inc. (NASDAQ:FORM) continues to drift lower but the stock should find support around its 200 day sma. I don't see any changes from Wednesday night comments. I love the risk/reward so long as it holds above the 200 day moving average. The technical daily chart shows major rally could be coming as the 50 day moving average has crossed on top over 200 day moving average and formed Golden Cross in March, a very bullish sign. In addition, Stochastics are oversold and beginning to turn up, which often leads to short covering. One weak signal is MACD which has dipped below 0. I keep the bullish bias on FORM.

Stock Picks and Trade Ideas for Friday, May 20

Tellabs, Inc. (NASDAQ:TLAB) was one of the stronger stocks today bouncing off support. Formed a nice bullish engulfing pattern and volume was above average on the day, which is bullish. The technical chart also shows that stochastics are turning back up from an oversold condition indicating a rally could be on the horizon. A close above the 20 day average which resides at $4.80 will re-establish the short-term bullish posture of the stock with $5.01 as the next upside objective. If I was short I would be nervous about it failing to breakdown. Move TLAB to your watch list.

Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ:NFLX) has produced yet another failed rally near $246. The action in NFLX today doesn't look bullish. Overall nothing has changed and the stock continues to look bearish in the short-term.

Global Payments Inc. (NYSE:GPN) tried to break out but the weak market pulled the stock down from its high on the day. The stock hit a high of $53.65 which is now resistance for Friday’s follow through move. Although this trend is encouraging, the near-term outlook stays cautious till the stock closes conclusively above this level on heavy volume. Bulls could remain invested with a stop loss at $51.54.

NRG Energy, Inc. (NYSE:NRG) continues to consolidate, but could make a breakout move soon. The stock is sitting on its 5-day sma, gaining momentum for an upcoming move. Resistance is $25.14. I expect to see a strong upside move if the stock can break through this resistance level. Watch the stock closely on Friday.

Dell Inc. (NASDAQ:DELL) - Much hated stock getting some love. Breaking out on strong volume with all main moving averages below acting as support. Presumption is that the breakout will continue. Fresh buying may be considered on a close above $16.96.

General Motors Company (NYSE:GM) produced a good bounce from the $30.75 level today. If the bounce continues tomorrow look for new long positions in the $32 zone. The MACD on the daily chart is nearing a new buy signal and the stock is also forming a possible inverted head and shoulders pattern with a neckline around $33.

FormFactor, Inc. (NASDAQ:FORM) - Good day today on nice volume. The stock closed at $9.95 back once again above its 50-day moving average, which closed at $9.87. Above $10 is very Bullish. Lots of room to the upside if it can follow through on today’s move. I love the risk/reward so long as it holds above the 200 day moving average.

Nice spike up on strong volume. Could play Volcano Corporation (NASDAQ:VOLC) here for a move above $29, but my preference is to wait for it to base or flag out before buying. The stock looks very bullish on charts. MACD is positive and above the signal line. RSI is moving up and above its 50% level.

Akorn, Inc. (NASDAQ:AKRX) - As long as the stock holds above the $6.50 support level the intermediate-term picture should remain positive. Fresh exposures may be considered on a move past $6.94, with a stop-loss at $6.50.

Radio One, Inc. (NASDAQ:ROIAK) may be close to breaking to new highs here. The stock has been consolidating the past few days and just recently started inching above most of the consolidation area. Volume is starting to pick up again and there could be a decent short squeeze if it clears the April high. Clearing $3.03 could be the beginning of a move to new highs. Shareholders may remain invested with a stop-loss at $2.68.

Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ:NFLX) - MACD is very weak heading for zero with falling rally. Downside pressure could intensify at any time. Next support is located at $230.55 followed by the psychological support at $225.

FormFactor, Inc. (NASDAQ:FORM) held up pretty well in a weak day. If it can climb back over the 50 day sma there is a good chance it will form a higher pivot low in this area and then challenge the highs set in April. I still like this stock and expect to see another upside move very soon. This company has no debt and about $333.2 million of cash, so they have about $6.58 a share in cash.
