Stocks to watch next week

ACXM has been on fire the past few weeks, and looks ready to make another upside move. The stock traded heavy volume as it closed up $1.35 on the day. Friday, the stock made new highs, but was not able to close at that level. I'm watching ACXM on Monday and I will buy again once it breaks through Friday’s high of $15.86. This stock will move quickly, so watch it closely on Monday.

The technical daily chart shows the stock this is still a good time to buy in short-term as K line has just crossed on top over D line. Nevertheless the long term trend is still weak as the stock has been trading below 50 day and 200 day MA with 50 day MA now going downward showing bearish signal.

There is something important to point out in this chart, the volume is daily decreasing which could mean that the current trend will probably not continue and a reversal may be imminent. Stay tuned on AOB.

From a technical standpoint, RMBS is clearly losing momentum and the daily relative strength index has entered the bearish region. It has good support at $21.86 ( 50 day MA ). If it falls below this level on a close basis, then it can possibly go down to $20. Only a close above $24 would negate the short term bearish outlook.

Hemispherx Biopharma is ready to breakout large

HEB is trying to make a move to fill the gap from its sell-off on Dec 02. The stock hit a high of $0.75, which is resistance for today’s move. Once the stock breaks through this level, the next resistance is $0.80, which was the high on the gap down day. HEB will be very volatile, so watch the stock closely and keep it on your screen throughout the day.

Stocks to watch on Thursday Jan 28

GIGM has lots of value, however the weak market is pushing the stock down. It has made a new 52 weeks low on Wednesday, but a last-minute rally helped it close at $2.78. The technical daily chart shows possible rally as K line is back above D line. Volume is shrinking which usually indicates the stock is going to make a move, I suspect it will make a move to the upside.

Now that K line is on top of D line again MOT should enjoy a fresh new rally. In addition with stock back above 200 day MA we should see more buyers coming back.

Looks like a falling wedge ready to break out to the upside. Some positive divergence starting to show in the chart. In addition, the technical daily chart shows possibility of new rally as K line is on top of D line again with stock back above 5 day moving average. The stock overall is still weak as 50-day moving average is still below 200-day moving average but this may finally be the time for the stock to reverse its trend.

Stocks to watch on Wednesday Jan 27

AMAT might have found a bottom down at present levels as the stock bounced on Tuesday. The stock hit a high of $13.01 on Tuesday, which is resistance for today’s move. The short term technical indicators are showing the stock resides within an oversold area, the stock have to breach the 13 level again to confirm any further upside move.

TLAB broke out of a two-week range on Tuesday. The stock hit a high of $6.72, breaking through the $6.25 range high. The stock closed at $6.59, which is another good sign of a follow through move.

RZ has a strong support around 1.05 and if it sustains around the current price zone it could bounce back.

Stocks to watch on Tuesday Jan 26

RMBS consolidated on Monday, after its big move on Friday. The way the stock consolidated on Monday, is bullish, as it traded in a tight range. I'm watching the stock again today, as resistance stays at $26. There is a chance the stock will consolidate again this week, but watch it closely in case it makes an early move. MACD has generated a buy signal and is currently above the 0 line. I think the stock will be heading higher. Technically Bullish.

OCNF looks to have finally hit bottom, as the stock bounced on Monday. The stock closed up $.035 on Monday, as it hit a high of $0.926 on the day. I expect to see an increase in volume as traders are always looking for stocks that bounce after a big sell-off. There is good upside in OCNF, so watch it closely today.

DRYS bounced off support again on Monday, as the stock closed near highs on the day. This was the third time the stock has tried to break support, but buyers have come in to support the stock. With the strength the stock showed at the close on Monday, we should see a continued upside move. Resistance is $6.14, which was the high of the day on Monday. Watch DRYS closely over the next few days.

Stocks to watch on Monday Jan 25

RMBS is probably the best stock to own right now. The stock was one of the few stocks that closed positive on Friday as it ended the day up $.72. The stock gained 3 percent finishing the day at $24.74 after the U.S. International Trader Commission Judge Theodore Essex ruled that Nvidia is violating three patents owned by Rambus. This particular decision could result in a ban on imports of certain Nvidia chips and products that use them, Bloomberg reports, including some computers made by Hewlett-Packard and a host of other PC and graphics card companies. Today, the stock broke out of a 2-day consolidation range as the stock hit a high of $26 on the day. Today’s move could be the start of a bigger move, which is why I'm watching the stock on Monday. The technical chart shows very strong upward momentum as the stock is trading above the 50 day moving average with both 13 day and 50 day moving average going up. The new bullish trend on my daily chart looks good. My model is long, targeting 30. Key resistance is now located at 26, a break above this level will confirm the bullish trend, and the following uptrend will take price up to 30 zone. CCI heading up towards 100 line on daily chart. The Relative Strength Index is also moving higher, which is a sign of growing strength in the stock. Also the MACD is giving a positive indication. I bet on Rambus for the short-term and medium term.

I will be watching RZ again on Monday because at some point this stock is going to bounce. I'm not saying there will be a recovery, just an oversold bounce. I want to be involved once this occurs and I will watch RZ for this move. My resistance point reflects Friday’s high of $1.11, but there could be other opportunities to trade this stock before resistance. The markets have sold off so hard that any bounce could be a tradable move.

HEB is bouncing off lows as the stock closed up $.01 on Friday. The stock held up well in a weak market. There is a good chance the stock will move higher on Monday, which is why I'm watching the stock closely. Resistance is $0.72, which reflects Friday’s high of the day. There could be very good upside in this trade, so keep a close eye on HEB for Monday.

DRYS looks to have found support at the $5.83 range as the stock tried to move higher, but ended the day down $.12. If the stock can break through Friday’s high of $6.09 we should see a strong upside move. There looks to be good upside potential in this trade, so watch DRYS closely on Monday.

Stocks to watch on Thursday Jan 21

RMBS had a strong day on Wednesday after Samsung Electronics agreed to pay as much as $900 million in five years to Rambus Inc., as part of a deal to settle some high-profile litigation focusing on memory chips. Samsung also agreed to buy $200 million worth of newly issued Rambus stock. I'm watching the stock again on Thursday as resistance stays at the December 28th high of $25.45. If RMBS can break highs, I expect to see strong volume drive the stock much higher. There is good upside in this trade if the volume increases, so keep a close eye on RMBS for Thursday’s trading. Technically the stock now shows positive sign as the stock has crossed bullishly above their 10-day moving average of $22.64 on volume of 24.5 million shares. Despite weak signal from MACD in the technical daily chart as MACD and signal line are below 0, the technical chart shows this might be a great time to buy the stock as K line has just crossed on top over D line showing buy signal while ROC is still at oversold level. In addition, RMBS's call options have been very active. RMBS is probably back to uptrend and with KD rising we could see possible rally coming for the stock. Keep watching RMBS as we should see a breakout move very soon.

PLUG has held up very well in this weak market environment. The fact that the stock did not sell off today, is a good sign that there is strong support behind this move. PLUG is extremely oversold according to the Stochastic Indicator, so look for a possible rebound soon.

The stock lost momentum when the price came off from $1.40. This may present an opportunity for investors to buy CTIC at cheap price. The stock has a strong support level at 1.05 and near term resistance level at 1.175. Keep the stock on your radar for the next few trading sessions.

Stocks to watch on Wednesday Jan 20

CIEN broke out of a downtrend channel on Tuesday. The stock closed below highs, but could make another move today. Tuesday’s high reflects resistance for this next upside move. If CIEN can break through resistance, we should see a strong upside move as traders buy up the stock. Technically the stock looks solid trading above its 20 and 50 day moving averages. My model is long, targeting 14.06 area.

OSIR was one of the winners on Tuesday, as the stock closed up $0.47 on the day. I expect to see another upside move, which is why I will watch it again today. Resistance stays at $8.30, which was the high on September 16th.

GIGM - There are several indications I see which suggest a near-term bottom, including large positive divergences on MACD in daily. If the potential buy signal confirms itself, we'll be looking for a move to the resistance area at $3.40-3.55, at the very least. Until that happens, traders will want to be on high-alert to the possibility of a bullish reversal. Keep GIGM on your screen for Wednesday’s trading session.
